Two months into my unit, my account was randomly closed by mistake. I got an email stating on a random check of the property, my unit was found empty and was now being closed for that reason. I was no longer was given access to my unit until further notice. Almost a week later, my account was randomly restored but no form of communication was given as an update, no email, call or text. Run. Find another place. This is perhaps the worst run business in Indiana. We take care of a temp controlled storage unit for a .org that we volunteer for. We pay the fees for a year out. Here are the cons. Cons: -no one is ever in the office during office hours when we need help. We end up calling. It's a pain as the unit is 40 minutes away from us. - the lady just called us to ask us if we vacated the unit today. We were confused as we paid the rent out for a year. "Oops wrong unit," She said and hung up on us. -The temp was well over 80 degrees in our climate controlled unit all summer. - there's no light in the unit and halls are dark. -The prices have shot up 50% in the couple years we've been storing. So we're paying a lot for crappy service. Pros. There are none. Find another place to rent. These people don't know how to run a biz. read more

I reserved a unit for one price, and then on the move-in day, they increased the price. They said that the reservation did not guarantee a unit or a price. So what is a reservation for? The on-line system is very glitchy, and now they just double-charged my credit card. They will also make you pay for a lock, and automatically charge you for "insurance". read more

The representative was very nice and pleasant with the service that I was needing. However the unit was not ready and had no lock in the unit when I went to see it, and the Next rep, quickly gave me another unit that was a bigger one for the same price and was ready for rental. I'm VERY happy with the service I was provided. read more

Whatever you do avoid this place. The property Manager "Hershey" is one of the rudest property managers that I have ever encountered. Cussed at my wife and kids, refused access to our unit during business hours. Garbage everywhere throughout the halls and parking lot. Was broken glass all over the floor of our unit when we rented it. The neighborhood around it is very run down as well. read more

Fairly smooth transaction. Got the codes for the gate and was supposed to be for the door to my inside storage space. But the same code didn't work for the door, so had to wait there about 30mins. till the office opened to get the code. The 24 hr. Corporate office didn't know that code. Otherwise was smooth! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE- After them telling me my storage unit was sold at auction in February ( after I ran into hard times), I was called a few weeks after, upset still, I had no clue why they would be calling. After calling back the person in store told me it was a mistake and apologized. Another 3-4 weeks later I received another call from Public Storage, after calling back this time I spoke with another worker who apologized again for the miscommunication and said to disregard. This was beginning to upset me as I felt it was reopening old wounds and heartache over everything I had lost. ON THURSDAY 4/19 I received a voicemail AGAIN I returned on 4/20 at 10am. I spoke with YOLANDA who was by far the rudest, disrespectful person I had met. She was calling to tell me my unit was up for auction at 12:00 Noon. Wait?? the unit that was gone in Feb? Magically- the lack of correct information for the months prior I had been told it was gone to GET NOWHERE. I was backed into a Corner with everything I own found and Public Storage taking no responsibility for their mistake. I contacted Corporate IMMEDIATELY, where I waited for BO TALLY to return my phone call. After about 1 hour, I spoke with BO who was about as rude as Yolanda, and this was the district Manager. He refuse to take any action for his employees or responsibility for their mishap. He refused to remove any charges, or late fees, or any month rent, when had I been told in JAN, FEB or MAR when i called countless times that i still had a unit, I would have paid it well before it got out of hand. I had to pay $439.00 = a 20.00 fee in a 10 minute time frame given to me by BO Tally- almost financially breaking me. Not to mention 133.00 the following day +20.00 fee + 21.39 for a new lock. Almost $630.00 later-----It has been the biggest nightmare EVER. I feel used and abused and I felt like I was taken advantage of, and the miscommunication for months caused nothing but pain, suffering, and stress. JUST OVERALL WORST PLACE EVER AND SCAM CENTRAL! I will be going higher than Bo Tally- This is not OK- As a Customer Care Specialist for my own job- this is just NOT Customer Service. DO NOT Rent HERE read more

This is not a place I would rent from. There are set hours where they are suppose to be in the office. I have came on several occasions to pay my bill (I did not have a card, just cash) and the office was locked with no one to be found. Why would I want to pay for a place for that? And the customer service is not any better either, just long waits and answering machines. No thanks! read more
