I had my things in this Public Storage on Sunset in Henderson. I moved my things in June of 2025. I made my payments on time for the most part I was late on some but I paid the late fee and was ok . Every time I came here no one was ever there . No one would call you back . So my things have been for 9 months and I fell behind 2 months and I had called and left messages I had came by and when I did no one was ever in the office so I couldn't talk to anyone. Finally someone called me the 2nd week of Feb saying my stuff is going to be auctioned off and I had to pay it by Feb 23 or they will put a lien on it and sell my property. I went to the place cause they lady said she would be there till 12 so I rushed over there and gave her my new information and talked to her about my storage, that I couldn't lose it it's all I have to my name , and I know I am behind 2 months and I'll pay the fees but I am waiting for my tax money cause I just started a new job and wont get paid till the 27 th she said well call and leave a message and someone will call me back if I dont get the money before the 23rd so I called the 19th 20th and the 23rd like 2 times each day cause i was working . I came by after work no one was there . No one called me back I was trying to see if they could please just give me till the 27th and I'd pay it then but I never got a call back . So on Thursday the 26th I get a Email saying they sold my stuff to the highest bidder for 190.00 I go so sick to my stomach, I had everything I owed including stuff that was my son's who was Murdered 8/9/22, And I had stuff my mother who passed away 4 months after my son was killed in there . Her rings she gave me pics of us from long time ago and momentos she had that was left to me . And tools my dad left me and he is also passed away. I wouldn't have ever just let my Unit go like that. It had all my personal things and clothes I owned . I feel that if they would of had enough people to cover all properties then I believe that someone could of called me back and possibly helped me keep my unit from being sold . But instead it looks like I just abandoned my things which I didn't and wouldn't have ever . So I am putting this out so everyone can see don't rent from them . They don't care and can't even keep people to work at every property they have. So Now I don't know who bought my unit if I did I'd ask them to please let me give them the money they spent plus an extra 100 bucks cause I just needed a few more days then I would have paid it. But No one called me except for that one time . My hearts broken cause I lost my son and my parents and I have nothing of there's cause I had to put it in a storage unit . I can't express it enough DONT EVER EVER EVER COME RENT FROM THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY IF YOU DONT HAVE LOTS OF MONEY TO PAY MONTHS IN ADVANCE CAUSE IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE THE WAY IT WAS TO ME. First time getting a storage unit and was easy to reserve on line. That was it. Had an appointment to finish and pay for it but there was no one in the office. Needed assistance. Tried calling...that was a joke. Had to leave a message and got a return call 3 hrs later (left a vm). Tried live chat...another joke. Is not live but an AI that only said to use app or website. Wanted to pay for a year outright but NO ONE wants to help. May just cancel after this week and go somewhere that wants my money.... Second day of trying to speak to a real person....still had to leave a message. If this goes to day 3 I'm taking the loss and going somewhere else. Very convenient price is good not liking got the urine smell at the elevator however it is what I need. it would have been nice if I got the $1 first months rent deal they offer after you've already paid and moved in. All in all I would rent there again. The staff is very friendly. read more

My issues is not with individuals, it's with the company as a whole. We are a military family that received PCS orders that aren't going to be for very long, so we decided to put all of our belongings in storage. Quick sidenote for any military spouses if your servicemember isn't with you they won't give you the military rate. We paid six months in advance for two units and once that ran out I went online to make a payment. I noticed the funds weren't being withdrawn from our bank account. And after waiting 11 days I called the local office. They couldn't figure it out so they called the corporate office. After almost a week they figured out I must've entered a routing number or bank account incorrectly. I was told to go online and make a payment. I was not allowed to make a payment for some reason and couldn't understand why. Again I called the local office and they gave me a corporate office number to call. I was told since I "default on a payment" I would be required to show up in person from now on and pay my bill with cash or money order. We are currently on a military base on the opposite end of the country. I made numerous other calls to the district manager, local office and corporate just trying to give them our money. I have been treated horribly. I am now being required to drive 40 minutes off the military base to find the closest public storage and pay our bill in person. I've also been informed that this penalty will not be removed, EVER! What kind of company punishes good customers who have never been late on a payment and has always paid early. I made one mistake and messed up entering an account number, once! I have been diligent about trying to resolve our bill however they won't take our money unless it's on their punitive terms. So a warning to my military family out there, especially if you're going to be going overseas, don't trust this company. They are no friend to their customers, especially to their military customers. I have never been so disgusted or so revolted by a company. read more

Now they charging a full month rent when Im moving in the 5th stating the rental agreement says that which is a lie. 5 years paying on time and never gave the problems. Facility is tiny but clean and well maintained as well as climate controlled. Staff is kind and will even come from other locations to assist if there is an unannounced closing. The corporation though is a joke. Be warned, there is a line that says your rates will go up and they will jack them sky high the second they can. Only use if you need short term storage or else they will bleed you dry. read more

This place has increased my rent three times during the pandemic! Every time I go too my unit it's dusty and dirty. I get paid monthly on the 8th that's just how my job pays I've explained this too them they don't care! I'm being charged $279.00 every month for a dirty gross unit. I've been here renting this storage three years I'm getting tired of it. It's ridiculous! Sharks at its finest clean up the dirty nasty dust. Yeah they painted but don't know how too clean. I have not had a light bulb in my unit since I rented so I'm limited on the hours I can go, which don't eline with my work hours. read more

Been using this storage for about a year now. Never had any problems with the facility, or the employees. In the beginning, there were a couple times we left our gate code card and couldn't remember the code to get in. Marie was very helpful and would write us a new card each time. Once we were at the storage shortly after the office closed. My daughter had to use the bathroom. She was kind enough to let us use it even though she was on her way out, she waited. Others who use the storage at this facility are always nice, they greet you when they walk by. read more

Be careful on the "specials", they are a hook to get you moved in. I got a space in November 2016 and the rent has gone up twice. It went up a 2nd time this June. They send you a postcard informing you of the upcoming rent increase. I had used this place when I first moved here in 2000 and had a great experience, that is why I came back. Just be careful and I would ask what is the expected rate increases? Once a year seems too much, especially since there is no additional service offered. read more

We have had a 10x15 storage for about a year and a half. We got it at a special rate, which made it a good deal. The price increased and we kept it anyway, just because of the hassle of moving everything. We have the monthly fee auto-deducted from our business checking account. Tonight, my husband drove over there hauling a trailer, in rush hour traffic, after working all day. He arrived at 6:09pm, right after the office closed. When he got to our unit, there was a second lock on it. He walked over to the office to see if there was an emergency number to contact. Since there wasn't, I called the 800 number to try to get some help. I was told I wouldn't be able to speak to anyone until 9:30 am the next day. I explained the situation and was repeatedly told there was nothing that could be done. I asked who do they call if the building has a gas leak or a fire. Apparently, EMS has contact numbers, but the corporate office does not. I was then transferred to a supervisor, who wasn't there but had voicemail. I left a nasty message about bad service, which I'm sure will just be deleted. My hubby just called and said a very nice lady answered the residence door and is attempting to help him. Apparently, our unit was double locked because we tried to get in one night around 10:00pm not knowing the gates were closed for the night. This lady is working to remedy the situation, but for Heaven's sake...why would they lock us out of our own unit for not knowing the gates closed early on Sunday nights??!! Any other place I've used for storage had gate hours much later. In fact, the hours aren't posted on the gate and I had to look online on my phone, while sitting at the gate with a full load, to find out why our code wouldn't work the night we attempted to get in. Right now, I'm very irritated. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better. In any case, there is no reason for our possessions to be off limits to us. The bill is always paid and they have multiple phone numbers and email addresses to contact us. Someone screwed up...I expect some sort of discount and/or an apology for this major inconvenience. read more

I got the 10x10 unit as a special on Memorial Day and moved my stuff here as part of my relocation from CA. The on site manager, Marie, is very good. She's professional and helpful. I absolutely concur with the last reviewers - Isabel M & Jaime S. Buying a lock & insurance is mandatory which inflates the price. Office hours is the only time for bathroom/cart use. No trash bin on site. Lastly, the smell (like dog poop) always seem to hang around. I go in my unit and come out smelling bad. Don't know if some dead animal got stuck somewhere in the units. Also, just in...there's a surcharge on credit card use to pay. Gotta use debit/checking to avoid cost. However, the price I got is very low with the special so I guess I will stick around until I can move out my stuff to my new house. Can't wait..... read more

Stay away!!!!! Yes, you will have to purchase lock and monthly insurance! I had my belongings in storage for May-sept, when I moved out of my storage unit I realized my belongings had the most horrendous smell ever! They def did not go in there smelling like this! I am currently washing each and every item by hand hoping this stench goes away!! Even the wood in my dresser smells. I've had my belongings in storage before much longer than this and they came out smelling as good as new! Something is def. off about this place!!! We chose this public storage because of its location. The controlled atmosphere was a plus. The customer service is great. But we are now going on a third increase of monthly rent. I believe we are at about a year and a half to two years of being a customer. I just received our new increase to $47.00 a month for a 5x5. I have a problem with being convinced that I have to have their renters insurance when for a fact I know my own renters insurance covers this type of coverage. I will be telling them to accept my current renters policy or we will need to move our belongings. This is a $9.00 monthly charge. I don't understand why don't take care of customers that have been long term. read more

My fiancé and I went in today to get a storage unit and Marie at the front desk was so amazing, she got us right in and set up in no time! This is right near our house so it works perfectly, making the decision even easier! But honestly even if we lived far away Marie would make me want to come back to this one again. Great customer service, and great prices as well. Way less than any competition around here in Henderson. You don't actually get the first month for a dollar because you have to buy the lock, and insurance, but it's much cheaper than it would be anywhere else, and I'm still paying less each month thereafter! read more

The manager here, Marie, is an absolute sweetheart - kind, helpful, efficient. However, the Public Storage policies at this location are deceptive and not user friendly. For instance, online they advertise $1 first month plus $22 administrative charge, which they tout as $23 move in cost. However, when you go to sign up, it is mandatory that you buy one of their locks (at almost $20) and insurance ($9 per month). These are presented as mandatory charges, not options. So the advertisement of $23 total move-in cost is a bit of bait & switch. Also, carts to help you move your items in and out of storage are only available during office hours, as you have to leave your drivers license with the office to use one. Additionally, bathrooms are also only available during office hours as they are locked and office personnel have to open them upon request. If you're moving items in the early am or after 6pm - you're out of luck. There are also no trash cans or dumpsters available for customer use at any time. So if you have any trash, packing materials or boxes you need to dispose of, you are out of luck. I would definitely choose a different storage facility next time. read more
