The man who runs the storage facility, Bill, was very professional, friendly, personable and was very helpful. I had called a few minutes before their closing time and Bill stayed on the phone and worked with me past their closing time to assist me in completing my order. The price was reasonable, very clean facility, well-lit after hours, clean bathroom for customers, and they had flatbed dollies in the halls for their customers to use. Bill also recommended to me their in-house moving company, Distinctive Moving and Storage, to move my belongings from the storage unit to my home garage. The move from the storage unit to my home garage was flawless. After dealing with a nightmare out of state move for months, it was a welcome change to work with Bill and not experience any issues whatsoever. Great example of top notch customer service. I use that word very lightly, because he wasn't helpful at all. It took over 30 mins to pick up the truck that I had reserved online. He was completely rude and wasn't in a rush to help at all! Coming here, you better not be in a rush, because he moves at his own pace. Not only was the gas tank empty (contract said it was 3/4 full) but I had to go inside and grab my own dollies that we supposed to be in my rental. Then later that day I called to get some questions answered and he was completely rude on the phone. I will never use this place again. Don, the owner, really goes out of his way to make sure you are a happy customer. The employees are all very helpful as well. they really go above and beyond. We looked at Public Storage and was unimpressed. I continued looking and found Brassfield due to its proximity to Duke. I couldn't be happier with the summer storage unit. The units are climate controlled, the 2nd month is free, they offer a moving van to assist in your move at no extra charge, really, really amazing!! The units look new, and the facility is very well maintained. I will continue storing at Brassfiled over the summer for the duration of our daughter's college years. Thank you!!!

Climate controlled, security cameras everywhere, insurance not required but offered, 2nd month free, free use of metal platform trucks (carts), and a FREE 10-15 foot moving truck available for move in. On top of all those perks the rates are affordable. Cheaper than Uhaul with more perks. We ended up renting a storage unit that was too small. After business hours the area manager saw us struggling and let us move into a bigger storage unit really close to our old one. He told us he'd hate to see us move our stuff twice and to go by the office the next day to update the contract. He saved us from moving into two storage units. Absolutely amazing customer service.

So we agreed to add a packer, he was an hour late and did not pack he hung out with the others movers. It got to be 6:30 PM and they were all standing out by the truck with a lot of stuff not packed and still in place in my condo, so all my stuff did not get moved. We had to go to the new place My good suits were stuffed down in a box wrinkled to the max. The guys were very friendly. I was told the unused moving supplies (boxes etc.) would be credited and removed. Over 10 boxes, wrapping paper, plastic wrap, many rolls of tape were left behind . My original estimate was $1100. I knew it would rise with the addition of a man, but not to $2800. $1000 of which were supplies which I ended up throwing away. Like I said some of this was the estimate process which I bear some responsibility, but the tardiness and lack of job completion were not my responsibility
