She listens attentively to what you are saying and then goes into her problem solving mode to meet your needs. My climate controlled storage facility is reaching temperatures of 84 degrees. I asked the property manager and he explained that due to the humidity the temperatures where regulated from corporate to 80 degrees last November/2022. I used to feel comfortable in my unit. Now I get physically sick from the heat. I store my merchandise which I sell online so I have to spend some time in the unit removing the sold merchandise and stocking the new inventory. These are not climate controlled units when the climate is secured at an unsafe temperature for South Florida. I hope someone from corporate reads this and decides to make it right. Thanks read more

The unit has been fine; no issues. Very expensive for a 20x10; $300/mo. Additional cost for insurance is required which is annoying. You will never have any customer service rep answer the phone; has gone to voicemail multiple times I have called. Overall a bit pricey, below average customer service; but my items seem to be taken care of. The kicker: As soon as you need any service, quite incompetent people. From the counter reps to the property manager, current property manager, (as of today 1/1/19) wish I knew her name. She is extremely rude and refuses to discuss any matters reasonably. I signed up for a half off promo the day I set to open a storage unit with them, then went in the office to complete the move-in and she said it is not valid. I showed her my print out and also the confirmation on my phone, she refused to even glance at my phone. It was extremely degrading and unprofessional the way she was speaking to me. Not sure why she was so stuck up and unwilling to assist. I had no choice; I moved from out of state, so I was forced to ay the full price and lose my promo which I fully deserved and signed up for WITH a confirmation number and all. I remember exactly what we spoke "Ma'am can you please just verify my email I have here on my phone, I am confused as to why you will not honor it". She said, "Sir we are no longer honoring that promo here at this property so it doesn't matter what you signed up for and when you did it." she went on, "the current rate is $300 per month you will pay this rate or you will not have a unit here." Her treatment of customers is disgusting. But like I said, I had no choice as I just arrived from out of state, I imagine she took advantage of my situation. Overall not 1 out of 5 because the unit is fine. 2 out of 5 due to the incompetent reps, and the pitiful property manager. Too bad she has a horrible attitude, just be nice! read more

Both Elevators have been out of service for weeks. Our unit is on the 3rd floor so this is a problem. Today we learned it may be 20 more weeks. Unacceptable. In addition, the air conditioner on our units hallway only blows hot air. The a/c unit at the opposite end works. We reported this problem 4 weeks ago and it still has not been fixed. We are paying for climate control but not getting it and easy access but not getting it. Management needs to step up and fix the problems! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Clearly the person next to my storage unit has food. About 9 months ago I came to get stuff out of storage unit to find MASSIVE amounts of rat poop. MASSIVE. I am a rep for FSU and have $$$ of autograph items for silent auctions that were ruined! I went to speak to the lady and she was so rude saying "we must have food!" I explained that we are a school and only have autograph items. She wasn't hearing it. After throwing most everything away and taking the valuables with me I left FSU and Seminole Booster signs and give a ways in there. Came back today to find MORE RAT POOP!!!! So gross. This place is run down and NASTY! They have done nothing for me. Extremely disappointed. We found another location nearby that is same price for larger storage AND super clean. Do your business elsewhere. They are only nice here until you have an issue!!! read more

Unit was fine. Support is non-existent. Never answer the phone. Contact by email is difficult. Moved out of my unit on 10/26/2022, but received a bill for November, 2022. We rented two units, one for me as an individual, and one for my company as a corporate entity. We received the discounted come-on price for only one initially. We complained to the person at the desk who said he fixed it. It was never fixed. I've used PS units several times over the years and have found them generally acceptable. I trust this experience is an anomaly. read more

I recently needed to rent a small storage unit at this location for a couple of weeks until I move into my new place. The 2 service ladies (which I believe one was the manager) that were there were amazing, friendly, and super helpful. They both were able to find me the best deal and made sure it was going to work for what I had. Location is clean and very accessible, the only reason I'm giving it 1 less star is that there elevator was not working properly which kind of creeped me out. LOL Other than that no complaints I will definitely use this place again ! read more

I have been gouged with an 18% increase. The rates are great when you start but Public Storage imposed increases when you are in a position that you can't move due COVID-19 because you can't hire people to move you. It's terrible how companies are taking advantage of their customers. Beware! read more

I had to rent a storage unit at the last minute and was aggravated. I arrived at the unit to "check in" and was greeted by a pleasant employee. I cannot remember her name, but she helped me snap out of my attitude by just being friendly. Each person I have encountered including Kia was nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Public Storage at this location. 5 stars! read more

I recently visited this location with a friend in the area and I was totally impressed with the service. Being a military wife of 20 years and we have had our fair share of interactions with moving/storage. I'm a stickler for customer service and the service was awesome. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was refreshing to be greeted with a smile and encounter someone that actually appeared happy with her place of employment. Good, safe property...however, I would NOT recommend using this, or any Public Storage property in the future. The staff are professional, but unfortunately, it appears their "hands are tied" by Public Storage policy all too often, and common sense is not always applied. I initially moved into a premium 10x10 unit, but wanted to move to a same-size unit elsewhere on the property as I no longer wanted to pay the price of being on ground floor. When I made the changes online, I was told in-store that I could not get the price as advertised online because I was an existing renter, and that my payment would still be the same for the new unit. While I understand that may be policy, this was not written anywhere in the lease contract given to me, and I can only be a discretionary ruling by management at this location. I ultimately ended up going with a smaller unit at this location. Oddly enough, when I went to the smaller unit, I was ABLE to get the online advertised price. About 5 months later, I no longer needed the unit, and scheduled a move out on the 10th of the month, at which point I vacated. When I moved out, I was also advised that my full-month payment would not be discounted in anyway. This was the final straw for me, as it makes no sense from a customer service point of view, and could have been absolved by Akia. More than likely, the unit will be rented out within the next few days, and they will make double the profit on this unit (this location does not offer $1 first month special) since I have already paid for a full-month of leasing it. I hate that I have to write this review in a negative light, but I gave the property manager multiple, chances to prevent it. Don't let the other positive reviews and pseudo-genuine demeanor fool you! read more
