These guys are pure corporate interest. 6 months ago I got their smallest unit available for $58/month. Had to hire guys to help me move items in due to being disabled. I was told they might increase the rate at any time, but it would only be a small amount. Just got a notice that they're raising it to $92/month. Tried calling and appealing to them to at least raise it a bit less, but they are unwilling... I'm sure this is their system, get people in at a low price and then jack it up after six months. Feels very dishonest. Went over to take stock so I can sell some things, and the place smells like mold. I had a tangible reaction - my eyes burning and inside my nostrils burning for about a day afterwards. read more

Still happy with the storage unit but I noticed that the entrances in no way are ADA compliant! It takes two people to hold the extremely heavy door open to get inside. No way to bring a full dolly of items in because the door slams and knocks it all over. As others have noticed, Dawn runs this facility well. She takes care of all the necessary details, there are a lot of them. Insurance, liability, security, authorized users, all the fun stuff. Its a paperless process so she handles all the data entry. You just have to confirm and pay. No forms to fill out is good for the environment too. So far the place seems very well maintained ~ security measures taken seriously. I'll update in awhile to see if the quality of service and cleanliness hold up over time.... so far, so good. read more

My very first impression of this place was not good, due to the lady who helped us being very unprofessional. We didn't stay here long. It didn't feel as safe and secure as we had hoped. Our unit was dark, had no light and felt dirty. It's made of wood so I was worried about moisture issues. There is hardly any security. They are very picky about the lock you must have. They sell their own for a marked up price and she said we could buy elsewhere but it had to be exactly the same as the ones she uses. So we thought we found the same one, but she found fault with it and denied us using it. So we ended up having to buy hers, which later we realized that Uhaul sells them way cheaper. I didn't appreciate how I was treated there and we eventually went to a different storage place that was a world of difference better! read more

The hours aren't great and they raised the rent over $100 a month within a year (for a very small unit). Unlike other storage units I've rented, they also do not have dollies or carts or anything out for you to use. Also the hours aren't very good, and I can't say I've found anyone that works there very friendly or helpful. Notwithstanding all that, I would keep the unit if they hadn't obnoxiously raised the rent like they did. read more

This place is the absolute worst. They are ever in the office to help you buy boxes even when their sign says they should be or for you to pay your bill for that matter. I have stopped by three different times this week to pay my bill and get boxes. And that is the norm. In fact I am surprised if someone is ever there at all. Total waste of my time. Constantly. Patty has the worst costumer service worst attitude and the most insincere apologies for her mistakes. Oh. Don't plan to "store" your stuff for too long either. The rent increases almost 100 dollars every six months. Too bad I have so much stuff here or I would move. In fact I plan to before they raise the rent again. I needed a storage unit, and some of the things that were negatives to me were from this company. 1. The hours of axcess ability are only from 6am-6pm, where most places offer axcess till about 8pm-9pm, even if the leasing office is closed. The timing restrictions are not customer based, regardless of why safety issue, crime, it's a limitation for the company and not the customer. If these are issues, hire security to patrol. I'm sure they've lost business due to this. If a person is moving and trying to do so around a work schedule this isn't practical. 2. Another issue is the one car in at a time. If you have multiple cars loaded with things to store only one of you are able to move things in at a time. So prepare yourself and organize things in advance. Update on 2/15/2020 I left this yelp message to be helpful to other consumers, and it the manager of this establishment lied on me to another storage unit facility, saying I cursed her out, which I've never met this woman in my life. She also said that we left a mess on the premises, which is FALSE. She also said that we were on the property after hours. They take notes about tenants, as their expected to, and if you disagree with their notes as in this case, there is nothing you can do to clear your name, from being smeared to other storage unit facilities. In my heart of hearts, I know it's due to my negative review of this business. I stand by my words regardless. The management is pathetic for the lies. When another storage facility left me high and dry with my movers being paid to sit there we were able to get a unit here on short notice on a Sunday all completely contactless. Was a quick process and had the gate code by the time I got there from the other storage facility saving the day. My only wish would be if they were open a little later in the day. read more

Jeannie was awesome at checkin! She went above and beyond to be sure the unit was sized appropriately, offered us any additional supplies we may need to pack and protect our belongings, and she was incredibly kind and insightful. The facility looks like it will work good for our needs. read more

I have done business here twice in 15 years. In the past it was 3-Stars = OK. But I would avoid them now. The crooks either picked PS sold locks, had a master key, or climbed in from adjacent storage units they had access to. There were no signs of forced entry, yet storage unit contents were all tossed and sorted through. The owners try blow off blame onto the the tenant, and are covering up an inside theft ring, not doing anyhtign to fix/prevent it, and not informing tenants nor police. I've used the nearby PS at 200 Calle Del Oaks, also, once with no problems. Do not know if they are under same ownership. read more

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have received. Called in a reservation, "You're all set!" this was not acknowledged upon visiting, "Sorry." Then found a different unit and spent, no joke, 1.5 hours while the worker made so many mistakes on our account that he eventually had to throw away all the paperwork (for the third time) and call a supervisor to help. Tried to get us to sign a lease with the wrong name, leased us a non-existent unit, so many, many things. They are still the cheapest around which is why it gets two stars. But honestly it is almost worth the extra money for a little more competence...almost. read more

Dawn was very helpful in the process of renting a unit. I came in on a Sunday wanting to rent out a 50% off unit that I saw online and she told me to come back on Monday because they were closing soon. So I came back Monday morning to find out that the unit was now only $1!!! She told me that there specials change every day and I totally just lucked out! She made the process quick and easy and I was all set up within 25min, I was able to pack up my unit and get to work on time which rocked. She assured me my things would be safe because they had had some theft in the past so now they only allow you to access your unit during their business hours so they know who is on the premises at all times. It seems very secure and the unit was large and clean. Looking forward to renting space here. (Dawn is the property manager at the 180 Calle Del Rey location off of 68 she was very helpful) read more
