Bruce is the most rude employee I ever seen working here. He came yelling at me because I the gate was open when i pulled in and yelled at me like I was a child to use my code every time I come in to use my storage I asked him to not yell at me and her rolled his eyes asked him for his name and told me you can call me Bruce read more

Customer service was fast and family friendly. The price for the size unit was the best in town. I highly recommend calling this number first. read more

This place sucks. We are locked in here with 2 other people. Unfortunately, with our codes we can't get out. This place isn't very good. read more

We rented a storage space about a month ago. Manager Bruce is super nice, gave us a tour and we rented the space. So far, no issues. We are pleased with our experience here. read more

Been using their service for 2 yrs and they have changed their price 3X. I began. With $130 to $160 and now they want to charge me $185. This company really want to loss business. I am ready to move out. Very disappointed. I will alert my military community about not using this storage place. Other then being charged. 1* This Storage Unit Facility is one of the cleanest in Salinas. 2* Because its convenient 3* Their employees are very professional and helpful. read more

Very disappointed with this place. In the communication they send you after reserving a unit it says to "Show up at your facility, DURING OFFICE HOURS [before 6:00pm], on or before your move-in date to obtain a gate code from the manager." What they don't tell you, after planning your afternoon and much effort, showing up about a half our before the office is closed, and they tell you quite unapologetically and coldly and inflexibly and repeatedly "WE DON'T RENT AFTER 5:00pm." They couldn't care less the trouble I went to, and how important it was to me to have the unit accessible (gate open until 7:45pm which is fine). What about basic decency to communicate such a policy and not state misleading info. Maybe I'm crazy, but I just refuse to give them business as much for their lousy attitude as their lousy communication. I'll gladly pay a little more elsewhere, and deal with earlier gate hours, but at least the office staff in Prunedale self storage is terrific. read more

Excellent facility and the staff is always, ALWAYS super friendly! The location is very convenient off of the highway, plus, the views of the Salinas Valley doesn't hurt much either ;) read more

In the words of the Amazing Mike Busey "Hell yeahh" on a serious note these guys are seriously awesome! You definitely get what you pay for when storing here. It's totally worth it I would a hundred percent recommend it. Can't go wrong here read more

Really great place! Love it and it was great for our kayak, it was our main concern but we got it in a smaller storage price wise was great too! read more

The storage unit grounds are well-kept and feel safe. I would not have had any complaints except, after renting from them for *3 years*, during which time there was a rent increase, I missed one payment and they sent a nasty pre-lien notice. Not only that, they demanded payment *in cash*, forcing me to drive 3 hours each way to come pay them. I'm moving out after that experience, so there should be a new space available in March. But watch out for these guys! read more

Amazing customer service. Friendly staff, the units are clean and well lit. Security protection for coming and going renters. Looked at multiple places in salinas and this is one of the newer places and one of the best. Highly recommended. read more

Jessica and Tom have been so wonderful to work with. They are beyond helpful and pleasant. I will miss seeing them as we move out but am very grateful and happy we chose their storage to use between homes. Life can be busy and stressful and having someone help you through it is very hard to come by. I highly recommend this storage no matter the need. read more

I have been with this storage place for 2 years now and the staff is absolutely amazing!! Nicest people ever (Jessica and Tom are the ones I have always worked with). The place is clean, secure, security gate is easy to use. Recommend this place to anyone seeking short and/or long term storage! read more

People are extremely nice and the place is very clean and safe. They also offer a one time move in assistance for heavy items.

I came across Salinas Self Storage by accident due to missing a turn to originally head to another storage facility. However, I very glad and fortunate for this! The staff represented themselves with the utmost professionalism and knowledge of their facility and business. Definitely first class. I like the fact that the majority, if not all, of their units are accessible via drive-up. They also provide great incentives and discounts for long term use and referrals. Worth every penny, to have piece of mind about your belongings with such a great company. read more

This facility has been there for me every time I needed a place to store my valuables. I trust the very friendly staff and their security measures 100%. The ease of access from the highway is very convenient with plenty of room to maneuver a trailer once inside. If you choose to use this facility, stop by the office to say "hi" and help yourself to some pop-corn or coffee. A+ read more

Wonderful place. Manager Bruce Rodriguez made it quick, easy and stress free to rent the exact unit I needed.

I have never needed to rent out a storage unit and so recently when I really needed to I got referenced to come here and so I called and went in and boy did this place make me feel proud to have called them. They were so friendly and welcoming I could not turn down this special offer they had. They gave me a tour and the place was so secure, clean, and organized. They even made my little daughter happy when they gave her with popcorn, jolly ranchers, and water :) I am so happy to have made the right decision. Tom and Jessica in the office were awesome and I look forward to my future with this company. :) I am Glad read more

Check out was a complete scam. I came in and gave the proper 7 day notice. On the day I moved out I came by at 1:30pm to talk about the check out. The office was closed for lunch. The soonest I could return was after 6pm and they man in the office said I had to check out before 5pm. When I called a few days later I left a message (again no one in the office) stating I have a job and I could not come back before 5pm anytime soon. I never heard a reply but then received a bill for a month that I didn't use the storage! When I complained to the better business bureau they lied and told the BBB that the complaint was resolved. Now they have opened a lien on the space...that they know is completely empty! Wow, shady business - go anywhere else. read more

Whatever you do- I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT do business with Salinas Self Storage. I bought a lock and key from them upon entering a contract for my storage unit- and the first time I went to use it the KEY BROKE OFF IN THE LOCK. I spoke with a highly un- accommodating and unprofessional woman named Jessica who informed me I would have to pay lock cutting fee and sign a bunch of forms to have the lock taken off- AND purchase a new lock. There isn't even anything in my unit yet. When I informed her this was an unacceptable way to treat a paying customer she said, "well that's the way it is. I don't make the keys." I said I wanted to cancel my unit immediately due to the complete and total unprofessional way they conduct business, I was told I have to wait until Monday and then go through a 10 day waiting period. THERE IS NOTHING IN MY UNIT and THEY SOLD ME THE FAULTY LOCK AND KEY!! Unapologetic, rude, unprofessional, unacceptable place of business!! STAY AWAY!!! read more
