When I came to Public Storage I came in a serious bind. I had to move very quickly less then two weeks notice to relocate with my job. Without the benefit of time to look for a place to live not to mention I would need to save up for all the moving expenses plus a new place I realized that storing my possessions would be my only option I have at this point. I've never rented a storage unit before and was feeling frazzled walking in. Thank goodness for Sara!! She immediately greeted me even though she was busy with other clients and as I waited made sure to check in on me. When it was my turn I pretty much onslaughted her with a million questions and my whole story. She remained extremely friendly and energetic as she walked me through the process of explaining how it all works, their policies and all the what not and what for. She walked me to the unit she thought would suit my needs best and helped me visualize how best to store my belongings as well as a bunch of great tips to help expedite my moving experience. When we walked back to the office she went over all the promotions including all the moving supply options they had right there in the store which was a relief since I had zero at my home. After I signed my lease she made sure to walk me back to make sure my codes worked and that I understood how to best access my lot with the movers and secure it. As a Manager myself I was beyond impressed with her customer service as well as her knowledge of the business. She made a very stressful moment in my life seem like a breeze with her professionalism and her friendly manner. I hope all your employees exhibit this same ethic at work and with your clients. Don't even think about renting a unit here. I rented a unit in November at $180/month and after 4 months the property management decided to increase the rent 50 % without any notice. The price went up to $260. A month. Don't trust this place anymore. I have to rent a truck and get my staff out. They don't care. Manager told me she can change the price to whatever price anytime they want. It's a business! Bullshit!!! read more

My unit is now priced twice the market rate for the area and Hector, the property manager, has refused to return my calls. Additionally, I was somehow declined for a discount rate, despite the exorbitant rate I have been paying for years. Public Storage and their management, very tellingly lack even basic understanding, decency or professional decorum. I regard this immensely disrespectful, if not egregious. The actual facility is decent. The actual business is price gouging. Currently running 50% off new clients; while increasing those clients to reconsider their options. This California based company has unscrupulous employees. I was overcharged by $100, now it's $370. Lying employees who misuse credit cards. I no longer use autopay. Their $20 INCONVENIENT FEE is disgusting. Storage units should be small and short term. COVID had me stay longer. THEY DO NOT CARE. MONEY IS THEIR GOAL. Customer service is absent. Beware of this facility! Seek storage elsewhere Francis at the front desk is absolutely horrible! She try to slam the door in my face because she closed the door at 5:53 and said they were closed she was on her computer inside made the gate out front go offline so I couldn't get to my unit. I have video that I sent to corporate headquarters to seek getting her fired for her unacceptable behavior. read more

The staff are effecient and do care about your business. I did get stuck in the only elevator for 30 minutes one day, and then for only 2 minutes the next day. It's a storage place, but whatever infrastructure they have in place needs to work. read more

Rented storage unit and then cancelled rental due to cheaper price at another Public Storage. Thief's are working here! They were supposed to credit my credit card for rental charges instead they stole my credit card numbers . Within 3 hours of cancelling storage unit , I had multiple charges on my card from South Miami - Homestead area . Dick's Sporting Goods, Subway, Cracker Barrel, T-Mobile and Walmart . Had to cancel credit card immediately and open investigation into theft of card number . Theft of credit card numbers originated from this Public Storage location. When investigation is complete, charges will be filed with the Davie Police Dept. read more

I was renting parking space for about 3 years there. After many complaints about debris damaging my vehicles, and even an official complaint 3 months ago nothing has been done! The tip of the iceberg was on Saturday Dec. 4th, when I came back from work to park the truck and pick up my car - beer bottles and urine all around my car! This situation forced me to immediately vacate the parking space. I am not paying over $200 a month to have my car covered in urine!!! They refused to refund a full month rent. read more

This was the classic bait and switch situation. They lured me in with one price and changed it for the second month. All my stuff is in there. I called the manager and because of all the missed calls I had to go ahead and pay a $35 late fee even though I complained about the inflated price way before the bill became due. I knew about their monthly auctions and didn't want to lose my belongings so I paid. They told me they review prices of other facilities in the area and whether their storage facility is in demand or not and can up their prices anytime. Disgusting policies. This Public Storage on SW 70th in Davie is fantastic. We had a very bad experience with another Public Storage in the area, but these ladies at this store went the extra mile for my daughter and I during a stressful situation. Would recommend for sure! read more

Sara was extremely patient and understanding of my current situation. She made sure that the unit I'm renting was the one that I needed. After explaining the amount of space I needed, she found the correct size to store my belongs. By the time I arrived to Public Storage in Davie, FL, I went to 4 other competitors. All of them were pushy and tried to sale me units that were either too big or not enough space. Sara, the property manager here, did a fantastic job with my elderly father. I recently visited the facility with him, and Sara recognized him and greeted him by name despite not seeing him for over two years. when we then needed some help to organize disposing of his things, she was efficient, quick to make sure she refunded him balance due, and incredibly friendly. She also called to let us know everything was resolved. I didn't expect world-class customer service from a storage facility, but that's what we got! read more

This Public Storage location is conveniently located off of 595, near the University exit. I was helped by Arianna, who provided very warm and attentive customer service. She explained everything about the unit and terms and conditions very clearly and answered all of my questions. She even called to let me know I had improperly secured the lock on my unit on the day after I moved everything in. Getting to the storage unit is very easy, all you need is your gate code and key. I have been renting from this location for a few months now and must say that the service is more than I initially expected. While the property is an older one, it is kept clean, safe, and secure...all the things that matter. The property manager, Sara, is so pleasant to work with...she goes out of her way to make sure all your needs are met/questions answered, while always being professional and courteous. I dealt with Sara and she's truly a gem! All you hear are horror stories of customer service representatives, but not Sara, she makes up for every bad experience you've ever had! Sara went far beyond my expectations to ensure I was taken care of and even helped save me a month of rent. I had to move out by a certain day but I have a car and there was one item too large to fit in my car. Days before I had already spoken to Sara and told her I planned on moving out, what did I need to do? She explained and we were all straight, come my move out date I still hadn't moved out the large item, she kindly called to remind me but I didn't get the message until the following day. I called her first thing in the AM, she asked me, that's right me, when was the best day I could be out, I told her the following day by 3:00 PM, she said okay that sounds good, come to the gate, honk the horn, and I'll let you in. The following day I came to the gate, honked my horn, and she let me in, I got my stuff out, checked out at the desk, and was on the way, not before a lovely conversation with Sara. Rules state I would have had to pay a full months rent because I was there 2 days longer than my due date, but Sara went above and beyond to ensure I didn't have to endure that. What a gem, that's the best words I can think of. I was only there for a month and she remembered me every time I came in treated me like an old friend. You can't fake a nice temperament like that, she's a genuinely nice woman! read more
