Day 1, gate code didn't work. Two unanswered voice mails plus 2 visits later to gain access. Why? Apparently the gate app doesn't work. When I was finally able to get to my designated spot i discovered that the adjacent trailer is parked partially in my assigned location rendering the spot unusable. The clerk was unable to help except to say come back tomorrow. Ok, so is this Oz? I arrived the following morning, panicked as I was on my way to pick up a trailer & needed to be able to park it asap. The clerk assigned a new spot. Talk about skid row, the area looks like a salvage yard...so much for the requirements that vehicles must be in working order as most had flats. And the 'new' spot has no visible lines or location markers so I had to guess that I was not only in the correct location but that I was not in the adjacent spot. Yeah, not even close to the pictures on the Public Storage website. To top things off, despite the failure of the staff to ensure the original location was usable, I was CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO MOVE FROM AN UNUSABLE LOCATION! 0 stars, I prepaid a month but am already looking for a new rental space. Perhaps the 428 location is ok but the 429 annex across the street is terrible! read more

Love the fact you can do everything online! Entering and exiting the facility via app! No need for human interaction lol. Great place for storing your belongings, boats, cars...etc. Price seems reasonable. Easy way in and easy way out. This location has 2 separate areas. One right across from each other. Didn't realize that until we tried to enter through one gate thinking the app wasn't open. Just double check and make sure you're at the right one. read more

I wish I could give this place minus stars. The facility is fie BUT the company is horrible! They raise your rent every 6 months and my rent went from $77 a month to $477 over several years. They DO NOT work with you if something comes up on time to pay, if it is NOT in by midnight on the day it is due, you will NOT get a grace period like some places do. They will slap a late fee on you so fast your head will spin. This company rips you off. Check out other units before going with this company read more

Everything could be done through the app which made it super easy. I would have given 5 stars if there was a dumpster available for customer use. I had boxes in the storage unit that I eventually emptied and needed to dispose. I saw the dumpster in the back areas but it was all locked up. I had to cram the crushed boxes in the car. Also, sometimes items don't survive being stored for too long and just need to be discarded. How about a high tech app access to the bin like your entry gate....? read more

I have never had a storage space before for our non profit. But for the last 6 months or so we have utilized Public Storage. I have enjoyed our time here and the staff is always super helpful and friendly. Facility is clean from office to units. Lot is clean as well. I have never had one problem and am only changing storage facilities due to location and proximity to others on our team. Thank you for a positive experience! I should of known this business was shrewd when they involuntarily force you to buy THEIR own lock worth 20 bucks with no option to purchase your own. I WAS TOLD 25 BUCKS WILL MOVE ME IN and I end up paying 79.00 needless to say it was and emergency. Else where the same lock cost half that. I paid my unit off and closed it on the 1st of November yet the policy mandates the whole month is what you commit to so no refund and no problem, but I was HOPING they would give me some of my money back. There should be a GOOD FAITH refund if a customer checks out early. Other than that these fools are technically abusing free enterprise and gives the business world a bad rap. I called corporate(with his very strong foreign accent) and they were graciously rude and on the offense when all I wanted was an exception to the policy to get refunded. I just recently rented my unit and it was clean and they provided my paperwork and lock rim as needed. Very nice to deal with on the phone and was able to do everything online. In today's world that's great! I read some of the bad reviews right behind me but, so far so good and I'm sure it will continue. Always keep in mind that without bad we could not have good so sometimes things take a bit of work to work out? Anyway I would have a five star rating but unfortunately I did not have a light and it was dark when I was out there and didn't think I would need one. Other than that everything was fine. Started renting here when it was MorningStar Storage and loved them until Public Storage took over. Then it became a training facility so the people are constantly changing. Lakisha was the best one they had here and it's been nothing but problems ever since she left. They don't care about the customers, its about the almighty dollar and they keep increasing the rates without notifying me. They refuse to cut off their lock for my husband because the unit is in my name and said I have to be there even though I'm not in the area and he pays the bill. They refuse to try to work with anyone. Stay away from this storage facility because they are all about the money and aren't above lying to the customer. read more

Ladies and gentlemen do not put your valuables into this storage facility. They will give you the top-notch treatment when you arrive ... yes they are very nice and will exceed their customer service; however, your valuables will be moldy and covered with Vermin deposits. Even with insurance, I was only able to get $250 because the insurance does not cover mold and mildew. The insurance only covers $250 for Vermin damage and there is a $100 deductible. Please be advised that this CAN happen to you. They will tell you that the basic insurance policy will cover up to $3,000. That is a lie. Do not let yourselves be deceived by the stellar greeting and treatment that you will receive, because after it is all said and done, you will end up throwing your things in the trash. This is my first and last time I will ever leave anything in a non-temperature controlled facility. Please let my ignorance and loss be your gain. read more

These people are deceptive in their advertising. All the reviews they allow to be posted on their website are 5 stars and talk about how nice Kayla is but about their hair and switch tactics. I rented an 8 x 10 for a special or $71/mo. I specifically asked about rate increases and I was told, they are rare and only happens once a year or so. In less than 6 months my rates increased by 20%!!!! Crooks and doshonest. The explanation i was given was that paragraph 2 allows for rates to be increased and that the property manager would not know the policy of rate increases. Crooks! Also the property is poorly maintained and the gate has been broken since I started renting. When I call to find out about the gate repair they lie to your face. Don't rent from them. On a professional level I would not recommend the 1430 s military highway location! The "manager" is very unprofessional and he's was/is not very courteous to customers! I went by this place twice and no one was there! When I said this to him his response was "well I'm here now"! Yeah that's not a very good response a "manager" should give! I will be going to the battlefield location even though they cost more because the young lady in there has a much better professional attitude! read more

I have a storage unit and a parking space. One is for business and the other is for personal. They promised to keep them separate when I signed up. They are together. A couple of days ago I visited the office and asked them to separate them. Today I was billed together. The IRS will require me to have these separated. Please help. When I signed up, they had a working security system and that is crucial to me and a selling point of theirs. Someone drove a truck into it and they fixed it. 6 months ago someone damaged it and it has not been fixed. The regional PS guy told me they were going to get it fixed. C'mon, six months is way too long. Please fix the holes in the fence that people use as a shortcut to their homes and who knows what else. read more

The girls working here are very sweet and friendly, Tesha helped me and she was wonderful. I give customer service five stars. One big concern was having to cross a very busy Battlefield Blvd. to get to the unit. For me it was a one time deal as I can drive directly to the unit in the future, however; I could not help but be concerned for these girls crossing this very busy street several times a day. There really needs to be an office on both sides of Battlefield for safety. read more
