Worst customer service/management EVER!!!! Booked a unit a month in advance to store our pull behind trailer. Booked the 10x20 space. I explained when booking that I need to be able to simply back the trailer in the storage spot, unhook it from my truck, and shut the door. Promptly took my reservation and said no problem. When I got there the opening to the unit was 8x17 NOT 10x20. There was no way to get the trailer in. They had another unit "under construction", not being rented out because of roof leak, that our trailer would fit in. I told her I was fine with it because our trailer was tarped and only going to be there 14 days. The manager said, "the cheapest I can can do is $317.00." Are you freaking kidding me??!!!! I had rented for $149 and I was fine with paying that. The measurements given were wrong and she was not renting the damaged unit anyway. Why not take the $149 let me park my trailer, pick it up in 14 days and move on. Customer service was a complete joke and the amount of nails I physically picked up while walking to the unit was absolutely ridiculous!! Get off your butt and walk the isles and get this mess cleaned up! If you rent here be ready to pay for storage as well as a couple of new tires. read more

Let's talk about Lori. She really looks out for you and does honest business. I had to store my car here due to my apartment complex's contracted towing company requiring my SC tag be NC. They gave me 3 days to get it done on a holiday weekend. I panicked then started my search for anyplace to store my car until I could get to the DMV. Keep in mind you must schedule DMV appointments now and basically cannot walk in and expect to be served. My appointment was 1-2 months out from my towing deadline. My first thought was use a parking garage but nope they cannot give direct answers on whether their overnight monthly parking(over $180 per month) accommodates stored vehicles. I canned that after reading horrible reviews and luckily found Lori@Public Storage. She literally saved me. $50 per month to store your car with storage vs. the parking garages($180 and up). I was very scared not to be able to look out my front door and see my car during these times of people stealing and selling converters. Thankfully the universe favors me and the whole process was smooth. I definitely recommend them if in a bind or you just need a spot that is reliable and swift. 5 stars and thanks Lori read more

Added: I did indeed cancel my rental. Too much competition to put up with the inconvenient and possibly dangerous entering/exiting setup The service is fine. The facility is fine except they have locked the rear exit. Now you have to enter and exit the front gate which leads to a narrow alleyway between two of the other buildings. When exiting a few days ago I had to pull over to the right, nearly touching the building while two commercial trucks entered. They had the same issue as I and we came within inches of scraping the sides of our vehicles. Unacceptable. I used to rent a space and came back with the expectation of the two gates. I am now rethinking renting this space. read more

Do NOT store here. Our unit lock was locked and our belongings completely gone through and mostly stolen. Public Storage did nothing. Insisted only the district manager can review the cameras. He wouldn't return my count less phone calls. This place is unprofessional and careless. I would avoid at all costs. Absolutely horrible experience here. read more

I seriously hate that every time I turn around they are increasing the rent on these storage units. It's seriously frustrating. It has increased so much over the past years (2012) I'm considering just emptying the unit all together. You can't even access the space after 9pm - if im paying over $200 I should have 24 hr access. Why are there constant increases without explanation as to why the increases are taking place other than saying next month you will have a pay increase???? Open for discussion. read more

Just wanted to say making a reservation here was a breeze. You reserve your unit online, takes less then two minutes. Then you go in, they'll pull it up and finish the paper work and you're done. Krystal was extremely helpful and even drove me to a unit (before I made my final decision) so I could see what I was reserving. read more

The service here is excellent! The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Reserved a unit online and promptly received a confirmation call. I was able to set up a time to come in so that I would receive prompt service. In the store the staff was very polite. They ensured that I understood the rules, rates, and how to work they lock and gate properly. All of the paperwork was clearly explained before signing. Great location! read more

I would give this company zero stars if that was possible. My husband and I rented a storage unit with this location for a cross country move. I opted to use the online payment option to pay Junes rent. I received an email stating that it was paid on 6/2, two weeks later I received an email stating that the rent was past due and I am subject to $45 in late fees and a returned payment fee. I contacted the office, which of course cannot handle the issue and was redirected to Brian, DM. Brian was rude, condescending, and told me I needed to speak to the bank because the payment was returned. First, all of my bills are paid through EFT from the same account, we had a few issues when we first moved to the area with the routing number, but when I spoke the bank they pointed out that the issued had been resolved at that point and all of the car payments, insurance, etc for June cleared with zero issue, and that Public Storage had never attempted to take a payment from the account. Brian directed me to speak to the bank about the returned payment fee and my bank stated they were not charging me one because no one attempted to take a payment and nothing was returned so how could they be responsible for "handling it", good point! So I called and left a vm explaining this to Brian and requested a call back, he never called. I went into the location and was, "yes, ma'am'ed" by the gentleman behind the desk who seemed sincere, until I spoke with him again this afternoon. He put in a call to the other DM, Rick, but I never heard back from him either. I also put in a call to the 800 number, which just redirects you to the location unless you specify that you have a reservation to get a CS agent on the phone, and was escalated the Regional District Manager, Jay, who, also, did not respond. So I called the location and spoke with the same gentleman today regarding the $45 late fee and he was less than polite, funny how attitudes change from in person to over the phone. He explained that the locks will be cut on our unit 6/21 and our contents sold next month (over a $45 late fee that should not be there in the first place?). This company is bullying me into paying a fee that I am not responsible for and threatening to sell all of my families belongings because no one in their corporate office (who are the ones tasked with handling these issues) will return my phone call to address the issue that I am having. I even asked the gentleman behind the counter if he had heard back from the call he placed to Rick regarding my account and he stated "when they get around to it, they will respond to you." He also repeatedly said "if you would just listen" during our conversation when I was asking him questions. I have required the use of a storage unit 11 times in my life, some for moves others because of space issues, I have never had an issue with any of the other companies and I have never been treated with such complete and utter disrespect as I have been when dealing with public storage. There are 100's of storage companies near this one and I would advise you to use any of them besides public storage, if you would like to be treated as a human being!! read more
