I rented a storage unit in August woth the old .....First month for a $1 ....However they actually charge you a $30 admin fee So No its Not first month $1 ......be honest and tell them the truth...Its $1 plus the admin fee $29.....then there lock $25......I should of seen the red flags...in Dec They send out an email.....oh buy the way.....were raising your rent from $120 to $215...because we Can! ....We can scam....is what they actually mean..... If they would be up front from the beginning.....and tell us they are gonna be raising the rent in December...I would of continued my search...Dont Let them ...small print you and take your Money......you work to hard to let a big company just .....bet on you not wanting to move out , right after you moved in.......shame on you Public scammers!!! read more

Don cancelled wrong transaction and would not correct the error and changed me more than the special. BEWARE OF PUBLIC STORAGE!!! We rented a 5 X 15 Non Climate Controlled February 1st 2023. Our payments were $99.14 which we thought it was pretty expensive but it's close so we rented it. Nothing in our contract says anything about raising rates but we thought rates would increase in a year. I GUESS WE THOUGHT WRONG!! Just got an Email today and July 1st we owe $132.15. Not even 6 months. Who knows when we'll get the next rate increase. We're retired and living on SS only. Renting unfortunately and our rent went up now our storage. Also it's not the cleanest storage. Looks like it leaked. I'm only letting you know so if you need a storage please check around and see what the rates are and get one that locks you in for atleast a year. We moved down from NC last July and had a storage there. It was a climate controlled plus a huge storage unit. Paid $100 for a year then the rate went up which we knew but a tiny little space in the heat paying $132.15 and it's only been 5 months. I wouldn't rent off them at all. Public storage on cortez road is infested with roaches palmetto bugs Beetles it's beyond disgusting !! I was doing a remodel in my apartment so I had 70 boxes no furniture I finished my renovation started to move my things home to be disgusted with my towels sheets and all my possesions loaded with poop and bugs . I told them and they said they would spray !!!! Spray the place is disgusting. b t w I took some bogus insurance to be told for bugs my coverage is 250 dollars are they serious don't get blind sided like me. This place is so rude . When i came to sign the agreement but the lady didnt say anything about nonrefundable . Then 2 hours later , i come back to cancel it because i came to another place with a better price and good service. When i come back , i want to cancel , the lady told me that i cant get my money back because of non refund . This is my first time to go public storage . They didnt read that non refund ,and said that i have to read . When i sign the agreement , she didnt mention about the refund . So if you want to come here make sure ask before sign agreement . Zack is moving back to PSL for a bit, so we needed a place in Bradenton to store his furniture. I actually began my search yesterday, discovered this location near to his apartment, and found that they had the best move-in promotion and monthly rental in the area. I used their website for quick registration, received a phone call within minutes, and scheduled an appointment for this morning. Tabatha demonstrated how to access and exit the facility, showed me a unit, provided me with a lock and damp-rid to purchase (cancel that trip to Walmart!), and then walked me through the lease agreement. THANK YOU JASMIN!! It would have gotten 5 stars, if it were not for the property manager KRYSTAL!!! When i first called and wanted to rent a unit it was 4:20pm in the afternoon and they were to close at 5pm. I could Hear Krystal in the background tell the other associate " well she better make it here in 10 minutes, because we are closing" very rudely. When the day came to move my furniture in, i had an issue that was MY fault. When it came to rectifying the situation, KRYSTAL was giving me trouble, and i would have had to come up with another $80. I asked the store associate jasmin to call the district manager. When jasmin spoke to him, he was very understanding and accomidating. When you move to a new place the last thing you want to hear is someone telling you, you have to spend MORE money. I understand that there are rules in place, but the KRYSTAL needs a training course on customer service and how to be understanding/accommodating to certain situations that arise! While my movers were moving my things in, I could hear another customer tell jasmin that Krystal had given her a hard time as well. Thank you again jasmin for your understanding. read more

The units are advertised as clean. When I asked if the unit was clean, I was told "absolutely." When I opened up the unit for the first time myself to move some boxes in, I found that the floor was swept, but the walls were covered with dirt. I spent a half hour with a roll of paper towels, a bottle of water and some hand sanitizer trying to wipe off as much dirt as I could. Mind you I'm only 5'2". It probably has never been cleaned. So I reminded the office clerk of her statement about the units being cleaned and was then told, "we don't have time." Every time I close the door to the unit, the dirt drops from the higher sections and makes a cloud. Are you kidding me? The unit was beyond disgusting. read more
