Sharon (Manager) SAID NO ONE TAKES BEDS AND THERE IS A 350.00 DUMPING FEE. She wanted me to sign abandoned paperwork on the unit. Guess what I found a Charity and they came and took everything on 5/19. My billing went from 5/15-6/14, and they charged me my monthly rate of 158.00.(3 days) Over 3 years Big Jims has made a small fortune off of us $5688.00. but still took their 158.00. I had a large unit when I moved out of state. We finally went back to FL to empty it. It took…read morelonger than we thought so we swapped it out for the smallest size at $70/month from the original $200+. Two months later they raised the price. Then they kept raising It bi monthly and it is now at $200/month. Which is the same as the original larger size that we had. Which was the size of a large bedroom. This one is the size of a small closet. We have called and they told us it's dynamic pricing and all storage companies do it. And then, "Our rent goes up too". Well it's not an apartment and rents don't usually go up that quickly. It is usually yearly or bi yearly. I hate dynamic pricing. Airlines do it also. My job even does it once and awhile and I find it embarrassing when I have to explain it to customers. IMO if you are doing well why raise prices? It's not like they are raising our salaries when they do well. I was going to keep it longer at the $70 price even though it is still a waste of money. But $200?? Now I have to fly down there and close it up. My bad for not planning better the first time but my Dad was dying and we were more focused on that. But I recommend not getting storage lockers if you can help it.

I wanted to be sure because I'm elderly, on a fixed income and it's very hard for me to move everything myself. Well, I just got notice that I have a SECOND rate increase in LESS THAN A YEAR! Talk about bait and switch! Also, the unit is barely climate controlled with huge roaches are everywhere, and there is no lighting inside the unit. At the rate I'm supposed to pay now, I would have been better off at Public Storage because they have REAL climate control, NO roaches and plenty of lighting, and it was closer to my house.

They should have new air conditioners that have a service plan attached and they would surely have low turn over!
