Williams Family Moving and Delivery - Great review !!

What a wonderful experience we had with these movers! We have moved 7 times and these guys were…read moregreat. They were very professional, polite and willing to do what was needed for a smooth move. Only small suggestion was getting a specific time for arrival. I asked them if they were licensed & insured they said "yes" Than their truck was no wheres big enough & they only had the one. truck which ment 2 trips were needed. OF course because of that fact it cost more because of the time making 2 trips. After the 1st load was delivered they request their money before the 2nd load. I was fine with that. Until we got back to the house to load the 2nd load NOW they insisted I pay them upfront even before they load the 2nd trip. That is no way to treat a customer. They said they will not even load without pymt up front. While unloading my bedroom furniture they took apart my large finials off my two dtessers. Not sure the reason for that but when we were setting up the furniture I noticed one of my finials was missing. I wasn't too worried then cause I thought maybe it was accidently left at the house I was moving from so we checked & it was not there. I asked where it went ^ what are you going to do to rectified it. It was a major part of the design of the set. Get this they said we are 't doing anything about it, you signed the contract. With that I was done. They never came up with my 8" finiel or rectified it in anyway. These people are not professional movers & very disrespectable. THINK TWICE BEFORE HIRING THEM!

K&B Moving and Storage

K&B Moving and Storage

Let me start with the good. K&B was prompt in communication. The moving staff worked hard, and…read morecompleted the job. Now to disappointments. For context, we were moving from Fort Myers, FL to the Pacific Northwest. We got a large truck through Upack, which would drive and deliver what we packed. My wife and I packed all of our boxes and wrapped all of our furniture to make the loading process as efficient as possible. It was an auspicious start for K&B when our two movers showed up 40 minutes late, without a handtruck or dolly, both of which we requested beforehand, and should probably not be a surprise tool seeing that they are a moving company, and the job was loading a truck. The initial back wall of boxes was well loaded, and tight. Then the fatigue began to set in. To be fair, this was late May in South Florida, so it gets hot. The movers began cramping, and the work became more hurried. We supplied them with gatorade and snacks, but we could tell their focus was starting to flag. My wife and all also purchased 8 or 10 heavy duty packing straps, but had to keep insisting that they employ these to prevent sliding. The movers kept assuring us that "Everything is tight. None of this is going to move." Oh well, they put in a good effort. The real complaints came on the other end, trying to sort through the damages, and dealing with K&B ownership. Virtually every single piece of furniture was chipped, scraped, gouged, and damaged. Many boxes had collapsed, or been ripped. As I began to look for compensation for damages, I ran into what I have discovered is an all too familiar experience: everyone passes the buck. Our insurance company, after looking at the damage suggested that "this looks like things weren't loaded very well. Have you contacted the loaders?" K&B has, to this point, denied all responsibility whatsoever, and been unwilling to offer a penny of compensation. At first, the owner suggested that "this looks like damages that came from things shifting around during the drive", so maybe we should ask the drivers. I agreed, but suggested that, as a moving and loading company, perhaps part of their responsibility might include loading goods into a moving truck in such a way that they do not move around. I was under the impression that was a common and understood goal we were working toward. Then came the minimizing and equivocating. Our furniture was merely scraped and scratched. Surely they couldn't be expected to compensate new items for merely damaged ones. I tried to explain that even if they refunded the entire amount, this would not cover the replacement of even one item. After some back and forth with K&B, their party line was that because K&B had not actually packed every one of our boxes themselves, they couldn't be held accountable for damages. Goodness. I shudder to think what state our possessions would have been in if we had K&B do all of the packing as well as loading! Honestly, considering how thoroughly we wrapped every piece of furniture, it is borderline impressive that these were all damaged. Of course, if only K&B had only packed and wrapped everything for us, then none of this would have happened! After all, you can't expect a moving company to be accountable for loading things in a secure way. They told us that boxes had collapsed because we had overloaded them. (Seems as if that would be man issue if underloaded), and that the damage to clothing was caused...not by the complete collapse of poorly loaded boxes, but was in fact caused by the hangers! That line really got me :) It's like saying someone crushed during an accident wasn't actually hurt by the other car, they were hurt by their own steering wheel! Needless to say, not a do again with K&B.

Kenny arrived and he is a true miracle worker! He made it all fit and even had room to spare! Thank you both for doing such an amazing job. I get to the counter and the attendant says: "This one says it has already been returned (Amazon)"; I thought perhaps I printed out the wrong shipping slip. The clerk told me - "Go to Amazon", so as I am going on it, she actually put her hands on my phone and started scrolling through it; she was incredibly rude; I told her that I couldn't find it on there; she then stated "What do you mean? It has to be there." I said that perhaps I mistook it for a different return - and that I didn't want to hold up the line. "Didn't you go to where I told you to go before? " I told her that I was well aware as to where I needed to go, however, it was not there and that I would come back later. She said nothing. This rude employee has zero personality, zero customer service, apparently her attitude allows for her to be rude to people. I will go out of my way never to return here again. Get some better employees!
