I didn't understand when he said it would take 2 to 5 days for it to get there. Because UPS in Florida is usually always delivered within a day(especially when only going across the state) even though it says it could take two days or so. I even said that is weird bc UPS is usually always only a day or two at most. He just stood there looking at us. I didn't realize he changed the delivery company on us that we requested (didn't even acknowledge that he changed it what we asked for either) until I went to track the package and see that 3 days later it's still not there. So now it makes sense that it's taking three days to go from Fort Myers to Miami, which is still a joke. Mail used to go across the country in three days. I had already been to the post office and sent the letter via certified mail. I went to the UPS store specifically to send it via UPS as a backup/second form of delivery. So now I have the exact package being delivered on the exact day via USPS and I just wasted money. Not happy!

I decided not to use their service and went to the USPS location across the street near Publix, where I paid $10 for the same type of Priority Mail service. I also spoke with the USPS employees about the price I had been quoted, they laughed and were surprised by the amount. They also told me the owner of the pack and ship, buys stamps and other supplies to upsell at their pack and ship store. I'm a local and have supported businesses in this area, including helping various businesses after the hurricane. I believe customers deserve to know when they may be paying significantly more than they would through USPS directly- and they certainly deserve to be treated with basic respect when asking a legitimate question about a price. I strongly recommend the USPS (which mins away) before using this Pack & Ship location. I will not be returning, and I'll be sharing my experience with other members of the local community.

To put this into perspective, the truck was big enough to barely move a 1 bedroom apartment. When we called the company to understand why they did this, the answer was "the movers are good, let them do their work before complaining". The issue here was not the movers, it was the idea that we would move our entire home in this tiny truck. Whether this was a logistical error, poor business management, or a slick way of guaranteeing more hours of move time due to multiple trips needed... it left a horrible taste in our mouth and let us know to never use this company again. Secondly, we specifically said we would be paying for the move with a credit card when we first contracted them... on the move day, the movers stated that the company doesn't accept credit cards and only accepts, cash app, Zelle, or venmo. At this point it was further confirmed that this was an absolute mistake to have hired them. In all seriousness, the only thing positive about the move were the movers themselves. Larry and Eli were extremely respectful and handled the move very well for what they were able to fit in the truck. In the end we packed the little truck with the heaviest items we could (laundry machines, fridge, bed frames, mattresses, and a dresser). After the 1 trip to the new house, we ended the move with them and handled the rest ourselves. Ended up having to pay for another U-Haul and finish the move into the night which was exhausting since we had been moving as much as we could the night before. Bottom line, this company is not the one you can count on in such an important moment such as moving your home. It is not worth it even if it's a lower cost than others. The term "you get what you pay for" rings loudly in our ears after this experience.
