I feel comfortable knowing my items are taken care of and the price is very affordable compared to others in the area. I previously had a storage unit with another company in Austin where someone tried breaking into the unit by driving through the wall resulting in damage to my stored property. The management knew it had occurred, but never contacted me about it and let me discover it on my own. I am glad I moved my stored items to Bastrop Guardian. As long as Michael is caring for the property I expect to use their service for a long time. My advice to new renters...take the time to read all of the information Michael gives you. It will provide all the answers you need and prevent any misunderstandings. Ive read the negative reviews and checked it out for myself. Its apparent those people didnt take the time to read or were just dumbasses to begin with. ‍

The larger trucks have dynamic cruise control that will maintain a perfect distance to the vehicle ahead of you. Our 20-footer had a separate light switch on the cab to control lighting on the cargo hold. That was nice. You don't need to use the battery on cab lights while you're loading or unloading. The translucent roof lets enough light in to be very useful in the daytime. Note that a Penske 12- foot truck has roughly the same cargo space as a UHaul 15-footer, as UHaul counts the "Momma's Attic" space, even though it's only a few feet high. Keep that in mind when comparing pricing. We've used Penske three times now for three-day long-hauls (interstate/cross county) and will use for any future move, too.

We had just moved to Bastrop and we had our belongings stored in our garage and at AAA, and everything was in boxes, so we may never know what was taken from our unit. The thieves broke into several units so we weren't the only victims. The owner, in my opinion was apathetic. The place looks like the epitome of "secure" but don't let your eyes fool you. This place has been broken into several times according to local law enforcement authorities. Store your items somewhere else besides here. Giving them one star is like giving them a score of 20/100.
