Please be mindful on the belongings you are putting into these storage units. As I came into my storage unit to move out of it, I discovered droppings and roaches scattered through my uni. I had a 5x5 unit to store my children's bed and their extra clothes and toys but all of that is being thrown away. $1400 investment down the drain. I have called Public Storage and no one has returned my call or responded by email. But boy will they send the SWAT team if your payment has a processing issue. read more

Let's see everything was screwed up from the moment I placed the order for the storage they never sent me my code to get into the gate so the day I was moving in I had everything in the truck packed got there thinking there would be somebody on the property there was no one there no one would answer the phone it started pouring down raining in hell so everything that I owned got wet and rent none of it is any good king size mattress all my clothes everything that I own is run thanks to them it took about an hour and a half to finally getting the gate because none of the codes they gave me would work and you couldn't find anybody to answer the phone I went to one of the places there was two next door to each other and the woman when I finally got her to her door so this is a private residence and I'm off work and wouldn't even help me to locate where I was supposed to be then when I finally found the right storage it took about another hour to get into it standing in the pouring rain which I said my cell phone because it got wet because you have to use your phone to unlock all the locks but yeah it was the worst experience of my life and if I had to do it over again I definitely would not and I would not recommend this place to anyone I plan on trying to file the insurance claim for everything I own that was ruined because they wouldn't send the right gate code I read more

I initially rented my unit from All Storage in 2009 for $117/month. I moved to Houston in 2014, but maintained this storage unit because it was so economical. My rent was $122/month when Public Storage took over and they immediately raised my rent and required me to take out insurance with their company, which raised my monthly payment to $143. Still not bad, even though NOTHING CHANGED. However, I received an email today stating that, starting July 1 (next month), My rent is going up to $179!! How do we get from $122 to $179 in less than a year with no changes in anything regarding the storage unit itself? Literally the only thing that has changed is the name on the building. I am in a non-climate controlled unit that the rats have gotten into several times over the last 13 years. It has flooded a few times over the last 13 years and I never complained because it was affordable and I live in a whole other city! Now I have to find another storage lot to move to, take off work, find someone to move me and drive all the way to Arlington from Houston to move because there is NOTHING they have done that justifies this rate increase. read more

They claimed there was a fire and my stuff was deemed "lost" in the fire, I went over there to see for myself, because I refuse to believe them until I see for myself. I got notified by EMAIL 3 DAYS LATER that there was a fire.... then a week later I got another EMAIL stating that they have closed my account!!! NO PHONE CALL regarding my stuff... NO information of the cause of this alleged fire!!!! It is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL how they handled this... the LACK of compassion is outright hurtful and unprofessional!!! I only ended having to deal with them because they took over my All Storage location. Never over 10 years off and on that I have used them, my entire family did, never had an issue. Public storage officially for me has been since February and just one disappointment after another. i wanted to move my storage in February but felt I didn't have the time. I wish I had because they only got worse and now I am expected to from the other building, park my full car, walk to the office (no walk-through gate) take my id To get a cart and then take it to my building? So if they're not open I got to just carry everything to the elevator and then through the hall to my storage? All storage always had carts and I know this to be the process at all the Public Storage locations so for the rude, lazy woman at the desk who had no one in the office yet could not answer the phone, stating carts were being stolen is a lie. Don't do it!!! They are very difficult to work with. I pay my storage a month in advance because I now live out of state. They changed my door (lock included) and told me I had to pick up a new key. I'M OUT OF STATE, so no I can't just come in and pick up a key. Guess what, neither can the people I left authorized to enter!!! So now I have to spend $265 to get on a plan and come to Texas for 5 mutha****in minutes and pick up a key that they have permission to give to ANYBODY I left in charge ... I've never had this problem with U-Haul, I rather pay more to know that I can move out of state and my storage be handled by someone in state. SMH!!! read more
