We always enjoy going to Pub W. It is a great atmosphere. We have gone many times with family and friends. Lots of good choices. They have a full bar and their drinks are really good. I feel like this place is a hit or miss. Today was such a miss. Maybe salads shouldn't be ordered at a Pub (?) but my husband ordered a wedge salad. It was yellow and brown and warm. Not our servers fault who did a really great job (Sunday march 30th 2:30). My shrimp tacos were indescribably bad. At $16 I just don't see how the Hal Smith Restaurant Group even keeps that on the menu. Especially because my favorite thing in all restaurants practically, are the scrumptious fish tacos at Charlestons, also a HS restaurant. I'm attaching a photo I took seconds after I was served. Food was meh and way too expensive. Quinoa bowl was small, not enough food. Seasoning was good but quinoa was not completely cooked and chicken was a little bit tough. Would have liked more veggies like asparagus or more zucchini. Ordered an Irish coffee and they didn't ask whether I wanted cream or whiskey so I got cream which I didn't want. Like the size of the place and space between patrons. Not excessively loud, which is good. I probably won't come back just because the food wasn't worth it. Today at pub W I came in for happy hour. I had splendid customer service. And a lovely environment but my FOOD! My son had chicken strips and fries the chicken was old dry and crunchy the fries were so salty I didn't let him eat either got the chicken remade. I ordered a spicy nacho and Nashville fries my nachos were BURNT you could taste it! The fries were super salty greasy and over seasoned. I like their happy hour. Good selection of very interesting cocktails. The only problem I have is they seem to feel that when it's hot outside - like today - their customers want to sit in a refrigerator. Icy cold sitting at the bar. And because it's hot outside I'm wearing shorts and a golf shirt. They could lower their electric bill and get me to stay for more than one drink if they'd just moderate the temperature. Starting from the bottom up: The toast was completely cold. Next, a lot of cheddar cheese, also completely cold. On that, maybe a tablespoon of avocado. (I took a photo but I'm not going to post it bc the artist in me can't bear to post unappealing photos). Over easy egg, perfect and fresh, part of the reason the stars are 3. On that, the salad. Also pretty good. I had them put the bacon on the side for my husband bc I don't eat pork, but if I did I would've been so disappointed. It was completely cold (also pre-prepared with the toast with cheese melted on it, obviously) and more greasy and limp than my hair on a rainy day. Coffee was great! Pineapple, great. Chupacabra, is real, it exists, it is here. It is not folklore! When I got home, I had to look into the Hal Smith operations. It is big. I didn't know that they operate some of the top restaurants that my wife and I have enjoyed. Charleston's has always been our top favorite in Broken Arrow. In OKC on the east shore of lake Hefner, Mama Roja and the Hefner Grill are fabulous! They are worth the drive! There are others that we didn't like, but let's stay focused on today's visit to Pub W. The Pub W menu is a very diverse offering. There is something to delight anyone, and a beverage to match. We were there mid-afternoon to avoid the crowd. The restaurant was fairly empty of patrons, but not for long. We were seated in a comfortable booth. Attractive furnishings throughout the restaurant. Friendly waitstaff. The many delicious choices on the salad section, had my wife struggling. The exotic sounding Moroccan Salmon Salad was the winner. I don't think she could have been happier. She loved it! It was a very attractive bowl and as described in the menu; a combination of herb marinated salmon, roasted bell peppers, mixed greens cucumber, grape tomatoes, balsamic-glaze, black pepper and bleu cheese. She rated it as one of the best salads she has had in Tulsa, in direct competition with her favorite salad at Charleston's. We'll be back! Under promise and over deliver. That is a good way to do business and keep customers. The menu only offered a summary of the ingredients and promised nothing, but the name alone had connotations "Chupacabra!" It delivered! A perfect sandwich of spicy, tinga chicken, grilled jalapenos, grilled onions, Muenster cheese, spicy aioli, jalapeno toast. It had the flavor and it had the fire. All wrapped in perfect buttery, crisp toast! And then there were the fries. They were as good as the sandwich! One of the best meals I have had in Tulsa and it was just a freaking sandwich and fries! This place is Hip and the menu is awesome Love the high top tables in the middle and the nice spacing. Food was awesome came out timely and reasonably priced. Cocktails were delivered by someone else who put his fingers on the rim of my glass... I guess I just don't understand this whoever is close grabs the cocktails and delivers them... Service by committee ... in addition I saw him all over the restaurant front door / the kitchen/ server next to our table ...lots of energy that boy has!! Restaurant seemed overstaffed and was cold ...with a lot of customers wearing their Jackets/ coats inside so maybe management should be more worried about their patrons and not their employees being comfortable ! ... and yes I told our server and it was ignored. This place is a comfortable and fresh restaurant. The vibe is bar food and the menu reflects that but is still very complete for the hungry diner. We don't drink much but have had some good beers and cocktails here. The appetizers are delicious and I prefer the buffalo Brussel sprouts. The menu features many sandwiches and all that we've tried have been good. I especially like the Chupacabra sandwich. The sweet potato fries round out a good meal. They also have some nice plate meals. Service has always been friendly and efficient. The place is spotless and you can tell that management takes pride in their work. Good atmosphere if you are looking for casual. Only complaint is we had a family dinner for eight with a 7 yo and an 18 mos and only tables large enough are high tops-not the best but it worked out. I had the Kochendorfer Irish Red and enjoyed it. To eat I had the chupacabra and also enjoyed that spice of the jalapeños, spicy aioli, and grilled onion to go with the tinga chicken. It was nice to be able to sit in the outdoor patio area when the weather was nice. The service was pretty good too. Our waitress was kind. I ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. I'm not a huge burger kind of person, so this being a non-burger option (plus I'm always drawn to food with some spice!!), made it stand out on the menu. It was pretty good, though I would have liked a bit more flavor and spice. The mac and cheese was creamy, and both the cheese and pasta had a good consistency. The portion was decent as well. The ratio of mac and cheese to buffalo chicken worked well, though I probably would have liked just a little more of the chicken. The breading on the chicken was a softer kind, I would have liked it a bit crispier, but it was easier to eat that way I think, especially paired with the mac and cheese. I'm just thinking a bit more contrast of those two textures might have been nice, and personally I usually prefer my breading on the crispier side anyway. I liked the addition of some spinach (or was it swiss chard, I can't remember?) in the pasta. I think it would have been nice to include extra buffalo sauce or something so people could drizzle on more, to their taste. The food could have been a bit hotter (temp) for me I think. Especially with something like mac and cheese, I like it to be pretty hot... I think it's just that warm, comfort food vibe that you want, you know? Price felt slightly high to me. Overall not bad, and I'd go back at some point, just probably not very frequently. read more

Charming little bar and grill type place near the hotel and hospital area. Great burgers with some fun additions. We split the pimento cheeseburger which was unique and yummy; we both wanted to eat both halves. The other sandwich was a brie and chicken sandwich, which we were warned was a little messy...accurately. It was good too but nothing on the burger. It's much bigger than it seems from the back patio where the hotel faced, and had a nice vibe. We were glad we bypassed the steakhouse, as this was much more interesting. First time back since COVID. We've eaten here for lunch a few times and like it. Today we were meeting friends we haven't seen in a long time. They wanted to meet at Neighborhood Jam at 10:30 for brunch and got on the wait list. We arrived and got a parking space at 10:15. After our friends arrived and we walked in, it was packed. I kind of expected this after reading the reviews but it was obviously going to be awhile standing around before we could be seated. We decided to go elsewhere and discovered that Pub W opens at 10:30 and a short walk away. There was maybe one other couple there! And they have a brunch menu! Ashlee seated us and brought us cold water. There were four adults and two kids. The tab came to $123.50 (not including taxes) which included 4 Chambongs ($5 apiece). The food was good, The Chambongs were fun. My partner and I had a Mimosa carafe ($12) which was excellent. We finished our meal at 11:41 and would have probably still been waiting for a seat at Neighborhood Jam. Pub W was getting pretty busy as we were leaving. read more
