Called ahead to see if they had a channel for a hockey game.They said they had the game on 2 channels, come on up, no problem! Took a Lyft there and then asked for the game. One channel said they had to purchase that channel because it wasn't part of their package. The other channel said something was wrong with the cable box even though all other channels worked. Person didn't care to click on the channels when I called. They weren't rude but it was just a huge waste of time and money to get there. Not great for non-local sports. read more

This is one of the worst bars I've ever been to. Sad crowd, sadder service, the limpest, most tasteless bar food you can imagine. One server for basically the entire place, catching her is nearly impossible. Ordered an eggplant parm, and was told *as they brought out the rest of my group's food* that they "couldn't find the eggplant." Had to order something else, which I received after the rest of my group was finished eating. Horrible music blaring from busted, tinny speakers. A friend and I ventured in here on a Sunday afternoon after a stint over at the unbearably hot Wax Trax in search of anything cold and refreshing. Having never been here nor heard anything of this place, I had no expectations. To our luck the place was not only well air conditioned, but it just so happened they had happy hour going from 11 to 7, which they apparently do every day. The interior is a lot bigger than one would expect from the entrance. The bar occupies the front room with a large game room and enclosed patio in the back. We grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a few shiners on draft and were encouraged by the bartender to check out the food menu. Food options looked appetizing and reasonably cheap. I have come to notice through threads and reviews that many Yelpers are fond of tater tots. Yelpers should probably be credited for the new tater tot trend and craze at bars, as it is a common theme of places I go (for instance the Horseshoe which I visited the night before). Anyways, there is a reason why I mentioned tater tots, as those Yelpers should take note that the Pub on Pearl offers a large plate of tater tots dressed with whatever you like for pretty damn cheap. My friend who is easily manipulated by offerings of unhealthy bar food ordered a plate dressed in green chili, cheese, and bacon along with one of their dollar tacos for good measure. The taco was pretty dismal as it replicated what you might get at Taco Bell, however, the plate of tater tots was substantial enough to make him have regrets. As tempting as they looked, I had to pass leaving him with a half pile as leftovers for the next day's breakfast. Service was good, the atmosphere was laid back, and I anticipate this might be a good place on Sundays when football season rolls around. read more

So god awful, it distracts from the game you're watching. This past Sunday was the worst of my terrible service experiences. This place has it's ups and downs. Poor parking and poor wait staff is what comes to my mind on the cons. The pros are them having good happy hours (wednesday is half price apps which are a good size as well), great bartenders, really good pool room, and a good locals atmosphere. I went here with someone that wanted to watch a football game. There was a nice room next to the bar with a lot of televisions for patrons that do not fit the "meathead" profile. Unfortunately, they decided to mix trivia with Thursday night football, which was incredibly obnoxious. I love trivia, but you could not hear the questions and they wouldn't leave them on the screen long enough to read them. Also, they used a terrible trivia program (all pop culture, no science/history/politics). That said, I appreciated the fact my partner could watch the game and I wasn't completely horrified by my surroundings. read more

Pub on Penn is a great spot! You can go any day of the week and find a good special. I went with my friend tonight. We sat on the patio enjoyed the weather, got wings and two pitchers of PBR and our bill was only 21 dollars. IF you really like wings you can go on Wednesday and get all you can eat wings for 5 dollars. However it gets really crowded. read more

Can't beat the $5 bottomless wings on Wednesdays. Although on such busy nights as Wednesday's slow service is to be expected, but I was very disappointed when I came back on a normal slow day and had just as bad service. 4 stars for Wing Night! I've been coming here for wing night for awhile. Its usually busy so I'd recommend coming a little early to get enough seats for your group. Although its busy, the service was great. I came to meet my group late and the server remembered my water and the wings came fast after ordering. My favorite are the Asian and Buffalo style wings. Came in for all your can eat wings on Wednesday. It was 5:30pm and the place was already packed. Wings were awesome with many flavors to chose from. Can't beat the burger special for lunch, we go almost every Friday! All you can eat wings is also a popular night, but make sure to get there early if you want a seat because it gets packed and the bar is not very big. I went here with a friend because they had $3 burger specials this past Thursday (June 9). We got there and I ordered a whiskey sour. It was watered down so much that I thought I was drinking poorly flavored water. We could not get a waiter. The one waiter that we saw refused to even acknowledge us and spent almost all her time chatting up her friends. The burgers (when we finally got them) were as dry as coasters. We had to ask for a to go box for some tater tots from the bartender, who asked our waitress, who in turn threw it down in front of us and stormed off. Too bad Yelp doesn't let you give a zero star review, or this place would get it. Unless they make major changes I'm not going back again. read more

Always a fantastic experience. What servers lack in attentiveness, the owner/manager makes up for in frequent checks to the table. Service is hit or miss. Food is what you'd expect from a bar. They're awash in cheap all-you-can-eat wings on Wednesdays; be forewarned that all of that free food makes them -very- popular on Wednesdays, so plan accordingly! There are a couple of outdoor seating areas, some pool tables in a spacious back room, and TVs line the walls in the bar area. Sot by the windows for some great people-watching opportunities. Service can be hit-or-miss, especially when they get busy. Sometimes you have better luck ordering your food straight from the bar as opposed to waiting for someone to come to your table. Absolutely the WORST service I've ever had at a bar! I stopped in to grab a quick drink while walking around running errands, and the bartender ignored me for almost 10 minutes after I sat at the bar. I waved twice, he looked straight at me, and went over to a coworker and started chatting. Other nice patrons had to help me get him to come over to get my order. Ridiculous! Get over yourself, I'm in the industry and I wouldn't treat someone this way. Don't go here, there are way better bars in the neighborhood that don't treat you like crap!! read more
