One of the best spots in Reno by far. Cheap, yet good beer. Service has been great as well. The place really fills up on Fridays and Saturdays as it's a popular spot for college and locals. The atmosphere makes you feel at home and "cozy" is a great way to describe it. Now let's talk about the real draw.... THE FOOD. Wings, Subs, gigantic and tasty pizzas, as well as chicken fingers are so yummy. I honestly have not had a bad meal here ever. I love how you can see into the kitchen to see where your food is being made. I placed a fairly decent sized order and not only did the driver deliver it, he even carried it quite a ways (including stairs) to it's final resting place (UNR campus-not easy to get around with all the construction). I've had enough good visits that I would have bumped them up to four stars, but on the evening of 1/4 they let both my and another party's pizzas sit out for 10 minutes (give or take). Pizza was luke-warm. When I complained and tried to see if they could get them hot again, I got (1) no apology, and (2) a whiny ... "Uh, were like really busy now". Me and the hubby got the opportunity to do our first yelp event and it was great! The employees were all super friendly and we got to try a few of the different sandwiches & pizza samples they had out. They were all very good but the garlic cheese was everyone's favorite. Simple and delicious! Only wish we could have taken the kids outside so we didn't have to go running in and out. Usually you can take kids anywhere at this place but for some reason the outside area was off limits because of the event. Called and ordered a large combination pizza for delivery. I made the mistake of not asking the price ahead of time. I called around 8:15 on a Sunday night. I also made the mistake of not asking how long it would take. The pizza showed up a little over an hour later. That would've seemed understandable at 7:00pm on a Saturday, but it seemed like a bit of a wait for a Sunday night. Once the delivery person arrived, the bill was $33 which seemed very high for a single large pizza. On top of taking over an hour to deliver, the pizza was cold by the time it arrived. We had to heat it up in the microwave. To be fair, it wasn't terrible pizza after being reheated. However, average pizza isn't hard to come by. There seem to be several other options at more reasonable prices that can quickly deliver fresh and hot pizza in the area to ever try this spot again. read more

Let me just personally tell you that Chance makes the best pizzas ever , I'm 36 years old and I felt so incomplete with my life until I had one of their pizzas here. First time having them and We will never order from here again. They don't even deserve 1 star. We ordered delivery. First I wanted to even know if they delivered to me, I asked 3 times and the girl on the phone wouldn't tell me till I gave her my order. I do not want to go thru and place a order and then at the end they can't deliver. But gave her my order. She said will be 30-45 mins. Over 1 hr later, still no food or call. I called the store back and the guy said the driver was just leaving and he also had another order. 2 HRS NOW AND NO FOOD(it's now after 11pm ).. the driver finally calls and says he's on his way but couldn't find my place...turns out ,the annoying chick on the phone wrote the wrong address. Great! ..10 mins later he shows up. We aren't mad at the driver, he didn't do anything but he pissed off my gf. She went to get the food at the front gate, she asked him for the managers name and the guy and the girl there tonight. He said the girl is a ditz but wouldn't give the her name and he won't give the cooks Name (who had attitude on the phone) . And that he wouldn't sell out "his brother " .signed the receipt and just went back in. Our food was cold!..we had pizza, onion rings and garlic bread. nothing was even warm and the rings were mushy. Now I'm pissed. I'm usually the calm one and see both sides first but not tonight. First time having them and this experience was so bad that we will not go back to them. I love me some Pub N Sub sandwiches. I don't know what they do to their sandwiches, but it's magical. I thought I would start with the positive before I got down to business about the service we received the last two times we've gone. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it appears that one girl works the bar and the sandwich-making area. Why there is ONE person doing a job that should be given to two, if not three people, is beyond me. It was pretty packed the second-to-last time we ordered our sandwiches, so the fact it took a good 30 minutes only slightly annoyed me. What made it worse, though, was that she started our sandwiches and then left to do 10 other things before she finished them. I actually felt sorry for the poor girl who had to answer the phone, pour drinks, take orders, and make sandwiches. We figured she was brand new or just entirely overwhelmed. This evening it was pretty tame, not very many people for a Saturday night, and there was no one at the counter. Score! The same girl from before took my order promptly and began making my sandwiches. It was aiming to be a quick in and out. I was hopeful. After checking in on Yelp, checking my email, Facebook, blog, and Instagram, I noticed it was taking quite awhile for her to finish with my order. I looked up and she was gone. She was at the bar, taking orders and chatting up a couple that were just sitting down. AGAIN?! I go to the counter and see my sandwiches started, not finished, and just sitting there. What just happened?! Another girl comes out from the back and asks if I've been helped. I'm kind of stunned, so I just point at my sandwiches. She breezily says, "Oh, I'll finish them." OMG. I mean, really. How many hands need to touch my food until they decide I'm free to go? I'm beyond shocked that this same horrible practice happened to me again. I don't know who's managing this place these days, but they really need to work on priorities and possibly staffing their bar with more than one person. The fact this girl started my sandwiches and then felt getting someone's drinks took precedence is almost comical. It's as if she thought, "God, making these sandwiches suck. I'm gonna stop for now, and go talk to people at the bar". Pub N Sub makes great food, but if this is how they allow their business to run, I doubt I'll be back. Brought my son by here to give their pizza a try on a Friday afternoon around 3 pm. Pretty empty inside. The service was adequate and the pizza pretty good. The sausage they use is as big as I've ever seen. Good pizza for sure but not the best around. Watched them make a few subs while we were there - looked pretty good. I dont know what it is about me and Pub and Subs Chicken Wings but when i eat them i will zone out and not pay attention to the world around me. Something about the delicious drumstick smothered in the tantalizing spicy sauce puts me into a wing filled daze! The wings normally are cheap but if you go on wing night,you'll leave there with a stuffed wallet and stuffed stomach. My favorite is the spicy,side of fries and the jalapeno ketchup. I don't know how i havent burned my taste buds off yet. If you enjoy food that wont burn your tongue and fight back then i suggest the mild. Not as much spice but all the flavor. This review is a bit hard to write. Pub n Sub has been one of my favorite college bars to go to in the years that I've lived in the area but this experience leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. My buddy and I ordered 15 wings each and we're told that it would be about 30 minutes until done so we decided to leave and come back 30 minutes later. After 30 minutes we get there and they tell us it will be 10-15 minutes longer so we leave and come back about 20 minutes later. When we get there the 3rd time, they tell us that it will be 15 more minutes, AGAIN. They were busy and this was frustrating but this wasn't even the worst part. Finally after waiting a total of about an hour and 15 minutes, they're ready and we take them home. Only to find out after biting into all of them that the majority of them are half cooked and on the inside, the meat was pink and translucent, unmistakabley uncooked. The worst part is that when I called to let them know what happened, the server that answered was being a total ass and couldn't​ even admit to being wrong, saying that our claims couldn't be true, even after I said multiple times that I wasn't looking for compensation, I just wanted them to admit their wrong to fix this and they couldn't even hone up to their bad after giving them a second chance. I've never written a bad review, let alone gone the distance to even write a Yelp review but this really rubbed me the wrong way, don't know if I'll be going back. read more

Craving chicken parm sandwiches, we sought out Pub n Sub as a local option. We've had the pizza before (which was delicious), so figured they had all the ingredients to make an awesome chicken parm sandwich. We ordered... waited... and then when my name was called, we were presented with grilled chicken patty's smothered in mayonnaise and lettuce - no breading, no marinara, no mozzarella. I made sure there wasn't a mistake in the order and asked for a side of marinara - which was handed over to me cold. Strange... has anyone there ever had a real chicken parm sandwich? Some of the food here is good. Some of it is only mediocre. Service is a little hit or miss (more hit than miss). This is definitely a college bar. They've got some nights with specials and it can get very busy. They do have some outdoor seating in a back yard and on a front deck. You can tie a dog up to the front deck. They focus on subs and pizzas. I'm usually happier with the pizzas. They do wings as well, but they aren't my favorite. They are well positioned and serve as the nearest bar/ restaurant for a lot of people just west of the university. read more

Another patron overheard this and demanded the lady to take my order, and she complied (thank you). Lets be clear about something. This is the BEST pizza in Reno and there is no competition. I don't understand people out west and how they seem to think that pizza is some sort of dainty. A pepperoni pizza is supposed to be greasy. Pepperoni is basically made of grease. In order to properly cover a pizza in pepperoni, you need a lot of it, which happens to get greasy. If my pepperoni pizza is not greasy, I call into question the preparer. And if you don't like greasy pizza, you don't like pizza, why don't you opt for the tree hugger on their homemade sourdough crust? It is also very delicious. They have the best crust: The proper thickness, a little cripy on the outside but delectably soft on the inside. The sauce (the element which subtely makes or breaks a pizza) is fantastic and they give you plenty of cheese. They never skip on the toppings, even on half-off days. Best value, best taste, no matter what. I almost never feel the need to have pizza from anywhere else. PS their subs aren't bad either! read more

Called in my order for a 2 topping medium pizza and was told it would be ready in 20min. I show up 20 min later, pay for the pizza and get told it will be ready in a couple minutes...another 25 minutes passes and I see several people come in and get their pizzas while I sit and wait until finally someone working there goes in the back and finds my pizza, hands it to me saying that he doesn't know why I wasn't called, and that it must have happened during shift change.
