    So many kinds of gin!
    Kerry M.

Fun place for a beer or cocktail. Beautiful outdoor seating. I did not know there were so many types of gin. A perfect treat on a beautiful day. Friendly service and knowledgeable staff. Learned about different types of gin. A real treat.

I've been here a couple of times now, for lunch, for dinner, for late night snack, for drink with friends (they drink, I sit) and I've always had a good time. Their menu has some decent choices. I think their burger is the best and it's a different variety every week/day sometimes, but it is customizable anyway. Their chocolate mousse dessert is surprisingly rich and dense in chocolaty flavour. They do play sports games often here. Recently they've added brunch for the World Cup games but the place fills up fast! And like all places, they do not take reservations when important games are playing. They also host game nights, I plan on going soon. The service is nice and I never had any issue with the wait times.

Initially I just wanted somewhere, anywhere to PEE.. washrooms during pandemic are hard to find! Few drinks, great salad... amazing 90s hip hop mix; camp-lo, nas, tribe..... And a washroom!!!!

A classic pub with great drinks and even better food. Lively ambiance and a nice selection of original and classic beers, local gin and delicious cocktails balance the delectable meals superbly.

Mozarella di buffala appetizer with tomatoes and red peppers. Very acidic.

I've been to Bishop & Bagg a few times now and I always have a great time. I tried to reserve online for Friday night but they were full so I called and they were nice enough to squeeze us in. They have an extensive menu of gin's whiskey's, Bourbons, rhums, beers, wines and cocktails. Definitely something for everyone! I had the "something sweet" and "Jasmine" cocktails and both were fantastic! They have a great food menu but I don't think I made the right choices. My friend and I shared two appetizers that were just ok. The mozzarella appetizer was too vinegary for me and the chorizo focaccia wasn't really a focaccia. It was a very very dense dough with tiny cubes of chorizo. I know that their jerk chicken, the burger and the salads are all really delicious so I'll make sure to order those next time. Great pub, cozy atmosphere for 2 people or a group. Always a great time !

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Decor & Style: 3/5 This place owns my favorite Reuben sandwich OF ALL TIME. Called the Cheesey Reuben: Homemade beef brisket, choucroute, gruyère on focaccia. It was so good, that on our 3 day stay here I came back twice! We also tried the Hanger steak which was amazing, however the Reuben overshadowed the Hanger steak. The bar was cozy, small, and a great place to watch the world cup. Very Pub-like, wash closets really small.

Stopped for an appetizer and again this spot did not disappoint. The bartender Sean Michael was attentive and informative on their Gin selection. Over 160 different Gins! So I had a beer!! Lol Had their salad and Buffalo cheese app... both good choices. Good music, unassuming place well done. I'll be back to try their cocktails.

I've been here only twice - once for dinner and once for brunch. Thus, this review is based on both of those experiences. The first time I had the jerk chicken and Mac and cheese. It was good, favourful tender chicken. The Mac and cheese was a little dry. But it wasn't something I thought about and craved afterwards. However, I went for brunch recently and I still think about that delicious plate I had, I think it was called fisherman plate (see photo). It came with amazing gravlax with caviar, three kinds of salad and rye bread. There's just something so delicious about this smorgasbord of goodness! I have been craving it ever since! Hope to go back soon to fulfill that craving. Another thing, it was too busy on Sunday morning, unlike a lot of the brunch places in the area. So no line ups woo!! Dinner on the other hand it was very crowded, almost every table was taken.

Randomly stepped into this pub on a sunday night after a meeting for quick dinner. I ordered the wild mushrooms, halloumi and bacon salad. The individual components of the salad were excellent, especially the thick cut of bacon. However, all in all the salad was bit too greasy. But I can't complain since its a pub and they were probably keeping it real with the idea of greasy food. 3/5 for food. For drinks I got myself two whiskey/bourbon based drinks: a manhatten and a brooklyn. Both drinks were very smooth but strong on the alcohol content. I would definitely recommend both for people who like strong drinks. 4/5 for drinks. The service was a bit slow at first but they managed to make me feel welcomed and the food and drinks didn't take to long. 3/5 for service. What really hit the point was the ambience and the environment. Its pretty amazing to see a pub packed on a sunday night but their trivia nights seem to be very popular. Trivia is not really my thing but if you are up for it you should definitely go with a bunch of friends. The ambience is very cozy and has an on point english pub vibe; Dimly lit spot lights, a few stained glass windows and the exposed wood definitely makes you feel warm. 5/5 for ambience! The final bill for me with tips came to 56 CAD. It might seem a bit expensive but their options for beer and appetizers are quite reasonable. Go here with a group of friends instead of just by yourself!

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. Review for their Quartier Dix30 location, 2025…read more.. Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff... My friends and I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I and my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, and we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative and chose Mckibbin's. Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick and friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor. Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, and finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario. He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), and was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay and get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him "sniffing" his nose in the stall, and found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, and to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles and that was all he needed to throw out allegations. Needless to say, I'm completely and utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left and let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there and cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation and what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted and unfounded accusations. That said, I urge anyone and everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.

Horrible service. They didn't let 3 of my peers with REAL ID in the club. And when my friend…read moreconfronted them, the next time she came in they told her she was "the bitch with the attitude". Tremendously rude bouncers. Don't recommend.
