Very popular location. The bar was jammed, but they don't take reservations this was the downside. Once we were seated the service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were very large. Overall it was an excellent value. read more

This is a nice local pub with good food and good service. Went there this evening with a few colleagues and we all enjoyed it. They sort of got railed as soon as we walked in so the service was a little slow but I'm not one to take points off for that - for me it's all about the food and how the food itself creates the experience. That sad, I went with the fried haddock, side of homemade Mac-n-Cheese and Fries. Didn't finish it all - portions were large but I totally enjoyed it. Being in New Mexico now, fish and chips are a hard commodity to come by. However, having grown up in Michigan where every Friday is Fish-n-Chips day...we know a little about the food...eh? Large piece of fish, good flavor wth a medium batter but nice and crispy. I'd go back and try their burger next - again, nice place and a nice find close to our hotel. Well done. read more

This is my second encounter with this restaurant. We just threw $35 out the window. Hubby decided to try a different restaurant from the one where we always get our fish fry . Bad move...two big servings of over cooked, hard ,greasy awful fish. The cole slaw tasted spoiled and the fries were rubbery. Wow lesson learned. NEVER Again!!!! I tried to call but got a constant busy signal...understandable ..it is Lent. I think I will give this place up for Lent. My husband waited on hold for 15 minutes for this. Overall the place is very nice. I had the special appetizer which was pulled pork nachos on tater tots and they were spectacular. But, the issues came with the entree. Smokehouse burger was just a stack of frozen products. Microwave bacon, frozen onion ring, and worst of all, a frozen, prepackaged burger Patty. It was awful. Just make a beef Patty folks. It's not that hard and probably costs less. And roast your Brussel sprouts. 5% of the population wants boiled sprouts with a vinaigrette on them. Nasty. I've been here two times in the last few months and both times the food was delicious. The first visit I had a New York strip sandwich (special) with caramelized onions and au jus dip, which was delicious. Second visit I had the chicken French panini, which was unique and also delicious. Their fries are delicious, though I was not a fan of the Mac and cheese. Service is decent. The outdoor seating is nice, with the exception of loud cars and motorcycles peeling out of the back lots. It's truly one of the best places to eat in the Webster area. The area inside is beautiful and as well they have great patio area seating that makes this place pretty popular when it's nice outside. Any evening, whether it be during the week or weekend, this place is busy. Thats not a reason to deter you away though. My husband and I actually ordered takeout on Valentines day and the food was scrumptious. They even gave me a flower when I stopped in to grab our food. The pizza was not soggy or overly oily either. The breadsticks to go were still warm and yummy. We were very happy with their take out service. Just yesterday I took a friend over there for a drink when we had an hour of time to kill. We sat at the bar, enjoyed the company of the bar tender. They had three TV's on playing different things for the patrons which was nice. We both ordered a Sam Summer ale on tap and I listened as a guest came in asking the bar tender to make her a surprise drink. He seemed so enthusiastic to whip up something of his own and she seemed to love the drink. That special touch is something you don't find often anymore. We ordered the pretzels & the pizza logs to satisfy our hunger. Both items came out really quick and fresh. I'm obsessed with the beer cheese at this place and could literally lick the bowl of it clean. The pizza logs were delicious as well! If you're looking for somewhere to hang out and have good food, this is the place to go. The staff has always been so friendly everytime I've ventured there, even on their busiest nights. read more

French Onion Soup was good. Got a chicken wrap that was terrible. The chicken was very dry and tough. No way that it was made fresh and I don't see how the cook could not have known how bad it was and chose to serve it anyway. There is no excuse for this. Really bad for $15. Asked to see the kitchen manager and I was told he/she was busy. They made a new one and comped the meal but was not hungry at that point. Have some respect for the customers please. read more

This pub is my favorite! I am A repeater in personnel and Corp mingling! The name is PUB but appetizers, foods and drink menus always make me happy so I recommend here whenever been asked among friends. Today I ordered Maryland soft Shell crab is marvelous! Pizza is tasty and wine selections are reasonable. The staffs there are very friendly and helpful for suggestions. What a pity I lost my car key that I didn't drive the day... I called if there is the chance somebody reported lost and found to the restaurant. It was almost closing time closed midnight however they welcome me to pick up the key even though the door was lock after the business hour. I am so glad and extreamilty happy! I appreciate their kindness also the person found the key! I definitely go back again! read more

This was my first visit to Pub 235. The restaurant was well staffed and very attentive. Food came out quickly which is a plus. My friend and I order a Margarita pizza. I know New Yorkers are very particular about their pizza, but I have to say this was absolutely the worse pizza we ever ate. It lacked any flavor whatsoever in the crust and the sauce almost as if they forgot to add spices and salt. When a frozen pizza taste better than fresh, that's not good. Needless to say it was a nice casual restaurant. I would go back but try one of the sandwiches, which seemed very popular with the rest of the crowd read more

Came for lunch on a Tuesday and it was packed! Seating was available both inside and out. We chose inside and got the last table. The menu has something for everyone! I ordered the French dip with Parmesan fries and my dining partner chose the chipotle panini. Both dishes were huge and tasted great! Both meats on either sandwich were very tender. The fries were piping hot, garlicky and perfectly crispy. We were noticing that everything that came out of the kitchen looked incredible. Since we have been here on vacation our luck with a good meal was about running out. We remembered this place as "Hanks" ice cream and sandwich place from way back when. Saw the reviews here on Yelp and thought "why not?". We were so glad we came. First was dinner on Saturday night. Service was good and our meals were great. Portions are large so be prepared. I had to have Grandpa Hanks beef on weck with waffle fries. The beef was tasty but on the dry side. We asked for the Au Jues and that's what the sandwich needed. The waffle fries were cooked just right and not greasy. Yum. The dinner rolls are fabulous. Would highly recommend dinner. We came back for lunch and was not disappointed at all. Our meals were very good again. We will continue to support this resturant in future when we are in town. read more

We went here for 5 weekends in a row for our weekly dinner out and were excited to have found 'our place'. Then the food started going downhill. The steak ($32) had 5 bites of edible meat on it, the rest was a giant ribbon of fat through the middle. The chicken french we usually get had a thick, yogurt-like texture, not thin as in weeks past. Complained to the server and showed her, she shrugged her shoulders and we didn't hear anything further on it. We paid and left and as a result, we won't be back. read more

Was there on a Saturday night at dinner time so had a bit of a wait which was understandable. Hostesses seemed preoccupied by drama felt like a flashback to high school, probably wouldn't have noticed but when you're sitting in front of them waiting it's obvious. Was able to order appetizers and food in a timely fashion. Food took a while and when food arrived one of the orders was wrong, not a big deal except instead of saying "ooops i'm sorry i got that wrong" the serve tried to blame my niece, didn't appreciate that. I have had several meals here recently and enjoyed them. The food is good and the service is good. We ate outside and the only thing to be aware of is that the traffic noise is rather loud. The patio is right on the street and there seemed to be a lot of trucks and motorcycles with loud exhausts during our time there. Even with the street noise I will go back again. read more

I have come here a couple times. The garlic fries are absolutely delicious. Buffalo egg rolls are good too but expensive for the serving size. I have gotten pizza a couple times and the crust seems to always be soggy. The toppings never stay on and it always messy to eat. The pizzas sound good but I haven't had one come Out good. read more

Well went here after it was recommended to me, but will never go back. French onion soup salty and had very little cheese on it. My partner got French dip was just "ok" Mac and cheese side definitely not homemade. I got artichoke French with pasta. The sauce had too much lemon in it, and halfway through the spaghetti was a large black hair. So disgusted that we both left more than half our meals and couldn't finish our drinks. Manager never even came to table after we showed waitress. This was not a busy restaurant at that time. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Great Place!! Was in with a couple co-workers last Saturday night and had a blast at the bar with our Bartender Bruce and the owner. Fun Night of drinking and conversation. The food was good also.
