French Dip 1/17/20

My husband found this bar with a surprisingly tasty menu! We've had a good handful of nice steaks and tasty sandwiches! The prices are fair and the food is fast. The waitstaff is kinda pick and choose. Some are better than others but it's worth the stop for the chow. The atmosphere is a bar and not very exciting or special, there are pool tables which is always great, but just kind've dark. And if you can't stand country music, don't hang out here too long, it's consistent annoying and silly country songs, but oh well. Still a good stop on the way home from work.

The fire house burger is amazing! The drinks are great! Right when you walk in the door you'll know the place is for you! The bartenders really look after your safety especially Kelly! One of the bartenders named Krystal knows what kinds of drinks I like! She made A drink for me and called it Hunter's Special Tea! Now whenever she's working and I ask her for it she makes it! The picture is included in this review! The most amazing food here is the French toast, Firehouse Burger, and the Chicken Caesar Wraps!

Mozzarella sticks and fried jalapeños

Came here for happy hour the other day. Wasn't too impressed at my time there but saw they do live music so I would like to come by again some time. Sitting at the bar it was slightly difficult to get attention for another round or to order food. The mozzarella sticks were good but needed a bigger cup of marinara sauce m. The fried jalapeños were great but were served with like a sweet and sour Asian sauce that was weird. Decided to eat them plain instead.

I live in the east aide. I have lived on the west side and when I have a chance I choose this place. Why, it's authentic, it's clean and it's retro without realizing it's retro. Great pub food. Four pool tables, 11 large screen tv's, lotto machines and a real bar. As to the service-sometimes great, sometimes just ok.....but hey, that's why it is authentic. It's best if you west siders don't know about this place.

My wife and I love this place. Game days are tough because it's crowded and the owner gets a little difficult about seating and such. The people are nice, the food is very good and the drinks are affordable, All in all it's my kind of place. Has pool tables, lottery games and a load of giveaways during games. If it was a little less loud it would be a perfect place.

Pub 181 seemed an odd choice by my octogenarian mom-in-law for a big extended family dinner. But hey, we were just happy not to be dining at Olive Garden. It was a crowded pool tournament night, and yet there was a table big enough to accommodate. We were introduced to our server by the manager who requested "please be gentle -it's her 1st night on the job." Both ladies were amazing! On to the food: Lot of menu choices, and the relatives ordered a plethora of drinks & eats. A One stand out winner at the table (and recommend by the mgr) the burgers. Any, and all. Hand formed, fresh patties, Great price for a top notch burger. My choice Bacon/Blue with a big juicy patty cooked pink (to my liking) with crisp thick bacon, generous crumbles of blue cheese and mega onion rings. So big. So fresh. So yummy. No matter how big your mouth is this bad boy is bigger. Served with fries or tots I got the crispy load of tots. Hubby ordered chicken strips & tots (not made in house) but really good none the less. All around fun night with delicious eats.

Best burger in gresham! The portions are huge with cheap prices.

Go regularly for breakfast. Great menu. Very generous portions. Nice senior menu, if you're of that age. Great people.

I just had the best fried chicken sandwich of my life here--perfectly crispy and flavorful. Their burgers and fries are also top-tier and always hit the spot. The drinks are just as impressive; unlike most places, they make handmade margaritas using fresh lemon, lime, triple sec, and tequila (of course) You can really taste the quality! They also have a fantastic selection of local beer on tap. It's the perfect atmosphere to catch a game. With a giant projection screen and plenty of TVs, there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. Plus, they have a pool table, ping pong, and old-school pinball along with other games. We've also heard they serve an excellent breakfast with homemade biscuits and gravy and breakfast sandwiches--we haven't tried it yet, but we can't wait to come back for it! Whether you're a mountain local or just passing through on your way to or from Mt. Hood, this place hits it out of the park every time.

Fun friendly crowd too - I was rooting against the Seahawks and nobody was bothered. Giant screen for sports, several free games (which is great for the kids). Also a lot of pinball and a few arcade titles. Counter ordering for drinks and food. They run with a light crew so there is usually a line and a wait for your food - it's worth it. And there's plenty of entertainment in there to pass the time. Burgers are phenomenal.

They welcomed us in and we were delighted with their delicious food. I'm a fish & chips girl, always in search of the best. This pub hit the spot! They make their own beer batter, which perfectly enrobes the mild cod. The pieces were huge! The fries were excellent. Normally fish & chips in this county come with a little cup of coleslaw. It helps me feel like I ate something nutritious along with my fried food! But Ye Olde Pub makes you choose between sides and it doesn't automatically come with their fish & chips. I liked their tartar sauce though. It was creamy and had a hint of sweetness, just how I like it. I guess I'll overlook the absence of coleslaw in my basket. My husband ordered their Reuben sandwich. He thought it was great. He got coleslaw but that counted as his side. I shared some of my fries with him. Rethink the coleslaw, Ye Olde Pub. Who cares if you don't get it at ye old pubs in England. In the USA we kinda expect it. Thanks! I'd dock you a star if the fish hadn't been so amazing!

Excellent, casual dining option…read more No private parking lot, so find a spot in a nearby public lot or street side and walk over. It's the first building on the right as soon as you drive under the "Troutdale Gateway to the Gorge" arch. We were greeted as soon as we entered by a very friendly gentleman who sat us in a booth. The interior is raw wood walls and floors with a variery of colorful wall art including license plates, soccer team scarves over the windows and drawings. Very laid back vibe. Full bar is available with local beers on tap and a seasonal cocktail list at the table. The menu is Irish-American pub foods. We ordered a small Caeser salad with grilled chicken and a reuben with an upgraded side salad. The salad was fresh and the dressing tasty. Plenty of croutons and cheese on there. The reuben is thankfully not grilled in a pound of grease which makes for a messy meal. Instead it is toasted. The slaw on there has a very nice vinegar note and has a crunch to it. Lots of gooey cheese and plenty of salty meat. The combination of flavors and textures is well done. If we find ourselves back in the area we will absolutely return for the vibe and the food.

Horrible service! In…read moretheir defense, I didn't actually eat there. Though not for a lack of trying. I called and was placed on hold for almost 10 mins. I finally hung up because I was pulling into their parking lot. I was excited because they had a covered area and my dog was with me and I had his leash, so I was going to sit with him while the food was cooking. I walked inside,in front of a couple other folks. Walked up to the register and waited my turn, after the guy in front of me. And I waited while the gal behind the counter looked directly at me, multiple times, waiting at the register. After she passed me for the 4th time to help someone else and talk to them, while eyeing me...yes I saw that..I left.

She was alone as far as we could see. She was our server, cook, bar tender and the face of this place. Even though she was running, sometimes literally, she was smiling and efficient. She was amazing! We ordered wings and jo jo's. OMG were they fantastic. They are southern fried full wings. You are given a caddy of 6 sauces so you can decide. Sweet chili, bbq, honey mustard, Franks red hot, chipotle ranch and ranch. You decide. They were delicious! The jo jo's were HUGE! I posted a pic. Could not eat all of what came. For the table we also had onion rings. Very good. And macaroni bites. Also very good. Bathrooms were very clean. Which is unusual from my pub experience. Everything about this place was great! They also have outdoor which is perfect on a nice day. Very much recommended.
