Read through my reviews, I don't post many salty ones but this one does have a happy ending! We got taken by Wertz. Should have tried for a couple estimates, but we wanted our gas fireplace to burn brighter, higher, & better. Asked Wertz of Rehoboth for a tune up. Was told the glass seal was busted, needed new glass, & before we knew it we're waiting for 4 weeks and paying $800 dollars and still not so great fire. Wertz said the fireplace was a cheap builder grade and if we wanted better we'd have to spend $5K for a new fireplace. I was like no thank you and I adjusted my expectations - maybe the fire wasn't that bad after all. It's OK, the fire comes on with the flick of a switch and after about 45min it does look a little better. At least we have new glass. But Dad said never settle. Trust Dad. Also, trust Mike of CCI Fireplace, LTD. and don't call WERTZ & Co. Because though we got new glass I think we got taken for an expensive ride by the Wertz guys. Womp womp. See the BEFORE picture which is what it looked like after the new glass and not much fire of the Wertz job -- the AFTER was after spending only $165 more with CCI Fireplace LTD. He said it was all messed up. That it was an easy fix and the gas logs were covering up important gas vents & holes and it was messy inside. I'm guessing this is something Wertz (or anyone experienced) should have seen right away. Mike also said it was a good fireplace and we really didn't need a new one. I like Mike. I'm happy now. TLDR: Wertz isn't the worst but they're certainly not the best. And they're expensive and I think a little incompetent. Mike at CCI, Ltd is the BEST! Get estimates & call Mike at CCI. Listen to Dad. Never settle.

Mike is usually very punctual and gets the job done. However, after some work on our gas fireplace…read morethat involved removing the gas feed at the valve last winter we seemed to notice a slight gas smell but thought it was residual from the work done. This is a second home so the next time we came down and opened the door you could really smell the gas leak! I bought a gas detector at Home Depot and found the gas coupling at the feed valve was leaking. This was on a weekend but I needed to get this fixed for my family's sake. I gently tightened the coupling the rest of the way after finding it loose by about a 1/4 turn. Retested and the leak was gone. Dunno perhaps they were in a rush to get to another job but darn - that was kinda dangerous.

I could not have imagined how they did what they did in so little time and the damn thing weighed 550 LBS. But they had an awesome team that made the impossible look easy. You can roll it". I have terrible arthritis and my mom is almost 80! We're not rolling anything! These guys came, didn't announce that they were here, just went to work, but they sure announced themselves when it came time to get paid! Didn't even give an invoice for the work. Called their boss on the phone and told him. " Well I didn't know you needed one. Why do you need one anyway if your insurance already paid you?". Well, I still need an invoice to give to the insurance company anyway! I wouldn't recommend these guys ever! Upon further inspection, the workers drove their large work truck on my already damaged lawn and put large ruts in it with their tires. The wood they cut up is fireplace sized... If my fireplace was as big as my kitchen (and I have a very large kitchen!). There is NO moving these logs. I don't even know someone who could heft them! These people are INCOMPETENT!

We had a friendly Labrador, and although we brought her in when they came to refill the tank, they always made sure the chain link gate they used was closed when they left so Lacey could go out without us having to make sure her 'escape route' was in tact. This job was quite a challenge as it is a very old beach cottage. They gave honest advice and proposed a Fujitsu system with 5 units inside the house. They had challenges in getting this system installed, including going under a wet house to run the coolant lines to the opposite side of the house from the main outside unit. They did this job with great care (because of the old exterior), knowledge of the system, and professionalism of the installation. It is beautiful and has provided an extension of our season from early in the spring through to late fall. We are extremely happy. We thank them for their dedicated professionalism.
