We always try to find good local spots along the way, and I'm so glad we decided to stop here because this place was SO good! There are plants everywhere, which I loved, and it just has such a welcoming feel to it. I got the steak and eggs and asked for my steak medium rare, and they cooked it perfectly! Honestly, probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. We also got the honey peach latte and had it made half sweet, and it was amazing. I'm also a sucker for fresh baked goods, so when I saw they had fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, I had to snag one for the road. Overall, we're really happy we decided to make this our stop. Everything was great from the food and coffee to the atmosphere and service. We're definitely saving this spot for the next time we're road tripping through the area. If you're passing through and need a breakfast stop, definitely give this place a try.

Hanging from the ceiling are roughly a dozen colorful umbrellas. There is no shortage of visuals in this restaurant. The food: Beignets - we tried the classic and the Berry White. Both were great, but I'd give a slight nod to the original. The one buried in powdered sugar helps keep the texture of the Beignet. The Pickle Gambit - super thinly lengthwise sliced pickles in a light batter. Comes with chipotle aioli and ranch. Good portion size. One of the best fried pickles I've ever had. Ned's 5-Alarm Chicken - really good crust and very flavorful. One regret is we didn't go waffles with this. Lemon Poppyseed Slaw - tastes like a classic slaw. A little sweet and creamy. Goes really well with the heavier dishes that we got. The Shrimp Incident - small shrimp and sliced sausage with a Cajun cream sauce and crostini. We thought this was ok Country Mac - my favorite part was the fried chicken as it was very tender and flavorful. The shell shaped pasta was cooked al dente - it was firmer than I would like partly due to the pasta being on the thick side. The Mac is Cajun forward and not very cheesy. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal, but it was definitely on the heavier side and could have used something to balance it out.

None of the trendy hipster "coolness" that has come to rankle me in other popular coffee shops. I've had some delicious pastries and excellent drinks, including coffee and non-coffee specialties like their golden milk latte which is unique and amazing. Comfy space, high ceilings , exposed brick. My only feedback is that they serve their bagels to go with a cup of cream cheese and a sliced bagel. This is common, but I don't understand why anyone would want to spread cream cheese on their own bagel when they're on the road. It would be like ordering a sandwich and a stack of meat, cheese, lettuce, and bread and asked to assemble that while you're driving. That's literally my only complaint and it's a small one. I will be a Regular at this coffee shop, bagels be damned! lol.

They have a good amount of vegan and gluten then friendly alternatives too. The prices were a steal for the portions I got -especially the toast and chia pudding. The coffee was also pretty good, nothing to write home about. I'll have to come back to try some of their bagels next time.

For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. But alas we picked up the sandwhiches and went on our merry way. About an hour later we go to eat the sandwhiches (which we kept in our cooler bag) and the kids ham and cheese sandwhich was absolutely covered in mayo. Like someone took a giant spoon and just globbed it on there. Both sides of the bread and then also in between the cheese and ham. I tried to scrape and wipe it off but it wasn't salvageable and we had to just throw it out because the 6 year old wouldn't eat it and honestly I don't blame her. The other sandwhiches were fine but I would absolutely never order from this location again after this experience.
