Parking is aplenty, I had zero problems with the staff. If this location is a convenient test center for you, then it'll definitely do the job. The computers are outdated imo; the quality of the pixels on the screen (or maybe it's the testing program) is poor. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because the location was absolutely horrible for me. A friend who had taken a test at this location prior had forewarned me that the location is very sketchy and run-down. So, I thought I came ready and prepared, knowing what to look for. Nope! I arrived and was very confused if I was in the right location or not. It didn't look like any businesses would be located here, and I didn't see any big signs (there's a very faded plaque with room numbers if you look closely), no people walking around. I walked around briefly and thought, this can't be it. So I looked on google maps again and it almost looked like the red pin was on the other side of the street, behind the building I was at....so I took off in my car and drove to the other side. Nope, that was indeed a school LOL. It was fenced, so I couldn't walk back to the other side. So...I had to drive back to the other side and run around looking for the test room again. I ended up being slightly late but it didn't seem to matter since it took a long time for everyone else who arrived before me to check in. Tips: - I wouldn't leave any valuables in your car, take them with you since they allow each examinee a locker. Even though the test instructions mention not to bring anything into the exam, I think they should have made it clear that they mean the actual exam room, not the test center. - Look up the building on google maps. Long, old, run-down building. PSI exam room is upstairs. - Don't wear any outerwear with pockets or a hood. You'll have to put it in your locker. Dress in layers. read more

Absolute garbage, I have downloaded the online testing twice and sat there fighting with the (Continue) button, it would not do anything. Their tech support is garbage and can barely speak English, they eff around for 30 minutes and then state well you missed your window to take the test & you need to re-schedule. I will be filing a formal complaint with the state I am taking my exam with. This company is a joke. read more

I would give zero if possible. I scheduled online test and found out only state portion was in there when I log in for test. I called psi to escalate and only told they think the system might thought I passed the national portion from last time, and which was not true. I had to take the exam due to time urgency and escalate again after exam. I was told I will get call back within 2-5 days, which never happened. I called again and I was only told that it was my fault because I scheduled the exam and I should escalate to PSI to resolve. I told the rep again the escalation ticket# when I called PSI, now he says oh you should escalate before you make the payment, once you make the payment they can't do anything. WORST. COMPANY. EVER. First, I'm supposed to take a 4 hour exam, I take the day off and prepare for the exam for weeks. At my paid time, I login and start the remote checks (camera and microphone working perfectly, have the software I need downloaded and they're searching my workspace). First check on of my camera says the resolution of the camera is not good enough. I have to download the special browser 3 more times until it magically works. Then I have to show my workspace and my dog is there so I have to move to a new space (thank you by the way for keeping the world safe from cheating dogs). This might be helpful information to have IN ADVANCE OF THE TEST. Alas, no problem I move to a new location where she cannot get in. I now have expired my entire time and CAN NOT TAKE THE TEST TODAY. Of course this isn't realized until 30 MINUTES LATER WHEN I can get someone online. I cannot believe this is how I have to take my test. Buy DON'T WORRY, someone will reach out to me in 2-5 days to reschedule so maybe I can do this all over again. YOU ARE TRULY THE WORST PSI. I wish I never had to deal with you again. read more

It's a testing center. No one likes coming here. But sheesh, I've never met such a depressing bunch of employees. It was worse than going to the DMV! Customer service here is non-existent. Maybe they failed their exams and now they're stuck working here forever. Lighten up, ladies. Life is not that bad. It's ok to smile once in awhile, it won't kill you. Things I didn't know before coming here, maybe because I failed at reading instructions, but hopefully these tips will help someone: 1) You cannot bring anything into the testing room. No cell phones, purses, etc etc. They have lockers though, so you're able to lock that stuff away before taking your exam. 2) They provide headphones and earplugs (for noise) in the exam room. 3) Don't wear or bring any hooded jackets/sweatshirts. If you're afraid to get cold, wear a long sleeve or something without hoods. They didn't let me take my hoodie inside, luckily it wasn't freezing in there. 4) No waiting or talking in the waiting room. They'll tell you to be quiet and get out. read more

Horrendous experience! As an Admin to several electricians and General Contractors and having scheduled dozens of PSI State licenses, I'd like to give PSI a big fat 0! Proctor VERY unprofessional for the Oregon GC exam! After previous exams, all scores were received within the hour of test completion. Unfortunately, the test scores have not been received (4 days later). I've been told by their "Help Center": (3) different wait times (end of day, 24hrs and 48 hrs). Most curious is that not one of the reps can tell me what the test score is!? Do they have? Has it been lost, or perhaps the Procter is just showing further incompetence? Train your people and offer a corporate complaint line. Six months ago, I would have given this company a firm (4) for both testing and customer service. The only problem in the past was not enough test times being offered. Unfortunate testing monopoly!! PSI centers administer many exams for various medical fields i.e. nursing, optometry, psychotherapy, etc. I just took a 4 hour exam on Monday and the conditions for taking a exam here were great. The building may not have curb appeal but the temperature was perfect, disposable ear plugs and ear cover were available, and I had the perfect cubicle facing a wall with a clock. In fact, I didn't notice I was the last person in the building until my exam was over. The proctors are not the friendliest as they shouldn't be but they were professional. A locker is provided and all items must be removed including fit-bits and watches. NOTHING is allowed inside the testing center including your own pencils and pens. I left my cell phone in my car (if it accidentally goes off in your locker the exam will END). I also wore a straight dress with no pockets and European Birkenstocks to keep things simple and comfy... The results are not available until 48 business hours but I called the testing site and they told me that PSI inputs them and I knew that there weren't many testers that day and they would probably put it in results before the center closed today and I was right. I PASSED with a somewhat respectable score !!! read more

As the final step in my professional licensure as a psychologist, I was required to take a proctored examination on California law and ethics. The step prior was to take the national examination. Oddly enough, the California Board of Psychology makes us take the national exam at Prometric Testing Centers, and the state exam at PSI Testing Center. Couldn't tell you why, just is. I was irritated to realize that there was no PSI Center within 30 miles of my apartment... though no fault of this center, of course. Why would there NOT be a location in Los Angleles proper, but plentiful locations on the outskirts? I just don't get it. Anyhoo... Prometric was a little more modern, a little larger, a little cleaner than PSI. This location was tucked away, rather hidden, deep inside an office center, without very good signage. You really have to find the complex, park, walk to the interior of the complex, and up the stairs, around the corner, before you see any sign of the place. The people were very nice when I checked in... the computers were a little old-school and the mouse was set to very sensitive, which was a bit distracting. Plenty quiet, which was likely due to the lack of people on 12/23 so I can't really say much more about that. Overall, a decent experience. Nice enough people. But they could certainly afford to put a little money into signage, perhaps a little bit nicer furniture and layout. Definitely looks thrown together. read more

0 stars! The admin on our real estate team contacted me in tears! Finished the online pre-licensing course. Went through PSI's "compatibility" test multiple times to confirm her computer was compatible to log-in and take the exam. Scheduled the exam then couldn't log in when required. Talked to PSI customer support. Was told they'd call her back on Wednesday. Here we are Friday - no call yet! Tried logging in today. Couldn't. No response about a request for a refund. Apparently, every time you schedule and then have to reschedule, even though it's through no fault of your own, you get charged again. Many, many complaints online and accustations of PSI being a scam. Sad. read more

If I could give less than one star to PSI. I would It is one of the most unprofessional company. I have ever seen in my life. The waiting time on phone is long. I have been waiting 17 days to get my score.when i call them they would transfer me from one line to anther line. Every time i made a call they have told me you will your score in a few hours, 24 hours, 48 hours. Last time i talked to someone and he assured me that I would get my score in 48 hours and gave me an extension number. Today i called them they said that extension doesn't exist in our system and the call ended without any informative response. Setting up to take my real estate license test, finding a location to test and ease of testing at the site was simple and straight forward. (No complaints with all mentioned to this point.) The problems arose when I passed my test and the transfer of that status to the Dept of Licensing was horrendous. First off PSI never sent in my information so nobody with DOL had any knowledge of me. Then when we started digging (a kind DOL employee took pity on me eventually). DOL had to send a request for testing results and I had to have a number of unpleasant phone calls with PSI before the information was finally sent. At one point a PSI employee (by direction of her supervisor) told me the piece of paper I got at the test site was all I needed to walk into the DOL office and get my license completed. That was not factual at all because the paper had little to no info on it and could have been easily fabricated. It actually said in bold letters WAIT FOR AN EMAIL FROM DOL, but PSI never sent ANYTHING to the DOL. So the DOL had no idea what I was talking about. When in actuality my information should have been sent from PSI to the DOL where there could be less room for info being falsified or confused within a few days of me completing my test. In the end it took over 6 weeks for me to get my license when it should have taken around 2 weeks tops and it took a very kind DOL rep and myself many phone calls to get everything so I could finallybe licensed. PSI has very terrible customer service, be aware of the complications when working with them. And be aware, you may struggle to prove you tested and passed. Good Luck! read more

The proctors were thorough and kind. Everything was explained correctly and they made me feel comfortable and at ease. I'm not sure what all the commotion is about with the previous review. I experienced nothing like that. Every person who spoke with me had a purpose. The previous review indicated that there was a lot of confusion with employees. Not every person is there taking the same test. Have some consideration for the proctors. Most test takers are nervous, rude, entitled, etc. Both women who assisted me today were cheerful and observant of the test takers. The noise won't be a factor because they give you ear plugs. Bottom line: be prepared for whatever test you're taking and you won't have an issue with the test site. Go PSI Anaheim!!! read more

Customer service at this location ZERO, manager at this location did not allow me to take the test because I changed my last name single to married, I presented my marriage certificate and new license and they did not let me take the test. I paid $83 dollars and they told me that I have to pay again. I asked her how I am supposed to pay for a service that I did not receive?? They said their rules said there is not consideration for such as situation. This is ridiculous!! Hannah threatened to kick me out rubbing my hands together about 2 hours into my 4-Hour test, when I mentioned the temperature freezing me she said there was nothing she could do about it. I suggested possibly moving to another station where I wasn't directly under a vent and another attendant helped me with that. Very poor testing experience at this location. read more

I am writing this review to warn future patrons of an unfortunate experience I encountered at the PSI testing center in Anaheim (PSI Test Center 5017), which was anxiety provoking to the point that it affected my ability to successfully pass my licensure exam. I failed by one point! A point I am absolutely certain I would have made had I not been so distracted, disturbed, etc. I drove up to the building around 45 minutes prior to my testing appointment. I had a difficult time locating the test center as there was no outer sign. The testing center was crowded and disorganized. I was shuffled from one employee to another to provide one with my identification, another assigned me a locker, another took my photo and thumbprint, and yet another provided me with scratch paper, which was literally ripped out of my hands as I was folding it to prepare for a test taking technique. The employee then placed the papers outside of my reach in a condescending manner. They were not accommodating, appearing not to take into consideration that patrons were completing an important test that could affect their careers. The environment was not conducive of one you would expect to contribute to successful outcomes. The experience at PSI Anaheim was completely upsetting and anxiety provoking. When I mentioned this to an employee, she retorted, "Well, we are the only testing center in Orange County. That's why it is so hectic in here." The number of patrons was not the problem, it was the disorganization. I had arrived at the center with ample time, confident, well studied, well-practiced and calm. By the time the employees shuffled me around for 30 minutes or so, and were also "processing" multiple patrons at one time, I was anxious, upset and frustrated. I asked an employee, "This will be the same as the first test, where I have a few minutes to review the instructions before I start the test?" She replied, "No, you have to start the test at 11." I said, "I need to prepare my scratch paper and read the instructions." She replied rudely, "If you don't start the test by 11, we will come in here and start it for you!" That produced more anxiety as I knew from experience that there were lengthy instructions and I had yet to prepare my scratch paper. At another site, I was told to take my time reviewing instructions and start when I felt ready. This being a timed test, the thought of being forced to start when not yet prepared was stressful. The staff at Anaheim also hovered about over my shoulder, distractingly. As if this was not upsetting enough, throughout my test taking experience, my entire cubicle began shaking on occasion. I believed it was earthquakes. This experience was frightening and distracting. I genuinely believed there were recurrent earthquakes during my test. I was so distracted by this trembling of the cubicles, which ruined my concentration. To add insult to injury, when I wrote a letter with concerns about my experience, the proctor blatantly lied about my arrival time, stating that I had arrived only minutes before my test appointment, making excuses for rushing me. They also dismissed my concerns regarding the rudeness as "she wasn't paying attention to security rules" as if a person of above average intelligence could not fold a piece of paper and listen at the same time. They excused the shaking of the cubicles as patrons and proctors entering and leaving the room. This is impossible. The shaking was much more severe than to be caused by this action. PSI representatives stated, "Based on the above (their lies and excuses) PSI has denied the request to allow you to retake the examination without further charge." My letter of concern NEVER asked to have a fee waived. My letter asked what recourse I could take and asked that the problems be addressed so that no other person would endure this stressful situation while taking such important career making or breaking tests. This told me that their focus is money. It is not to provide a good experience for people paying good money to test at their centers. It is not to manage an office in a way conducive to your successful outcome, it is not even to care what goes on there, as long as you pay them the testing fee. If you have a concern, there will not be a manager to correct or even address issues. Just lies to discount your concerns. What they need is sensitivity training to deal with people who may be dealing with a bit of testing anxiety as most of us do. DO NOT TEST HERE IF YOU NEED A QUIET SPACE TO TEST. DO NOT TEST HERE IF YOU NEED A CALM, OR EVEN A STILL PLACE TO TEST. DO NOT TEST HERE IF RUDE AND CONDECENDING ACTIONS COULD CAUSE YOU ANXIETY THAT INTERFERES WITH YOUR TEST RESULTS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TEST ELSEWHERE. IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE TO A DISTANT CENTER. ALSO, IF YOU HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AT THIS SITE, PLEASE REVIEW SO THAT OTHERS ARE WARNED AND AWARE WHAT THEY ARE WALKING INTO. read more

Been here a few times and let me tell you its not a good testing environment. There is talking an laughing beyond the testing room caused by the staff. For some reason I always get placed closest to the window/door, so I always have to wear headphones and/or ear plugs to concentrate. The waiting room is pathetic and the staff, the times I went were on their high horse. One time I had an argument with staff. She said I was late. My test time was 2pm and I was sitting in the waiting room at 1:45pm. I rolled my eyes and said there is still 15 minutes til actual testing time. She tried to defend her statement with check-in takes 30 min and that I should have been there at 1:30 and all that crap. I gave her a piece and told her all the times I've been here they've always checked me in within 5 minutes and had me start the test way early. I told her the first time I came they actually started my test 45 minutes before testing time. She had nothing to counter and said well you can still take the test. Well yeah duh stupid, of course I can take the test still because it's not even the scheduled time yet!! ARGH!! So unprofessional, plus they dress like high school students, it's no wonder they act the way they do. They are probably high school students. It's casual clothing there. The last testing site I was at for a different exam, the staff was all business in slacks and dress shirts. They were punctual and *snap* got it done, quick and quiet. I suggest everyone pick a PSI testing center different from this Anaheim one. read more

Just passed my CPT exam for NASM :) I think the bad reviews here are just old. There were two women there. Dressed business casual. Very professional. Absolutely no problems at all! You can use the restroom down the outside hallway (5 min time limit during the test). They have lockers in the office, which you hold the key for. Nothing else can be brought into the testing room. No need to keep valuables in your car outside. I felt like leaving this review because of the previous bad ones. There was nothing wrong with this place. Plus they provide earplugs and sound-blocking headphones at each station. I used them and I heard nothing. read more

Even more disturbing was that the two young women who were working there today (one was a white girl with blonde hair and the other was a Hispanic-looking girl with dyed hair and acne) smelled of marijuana and seemed to be high on the job. I think people are being harder on this place than they have to. I've taken tests in several locations and this one is right on par. HGTV did not come in a do a makeover on the place, but do you really need high end decor to take a test? My only requirements were that it was quiet and it had lockers. The staff were much more professional than I was lead to believe from these reviews. I did hear them talking through the wall at one point, but I just added the headphones over the earplugs and didn't hear anything else. I recommend you take a test drive to the location and even find the room before your exam if you are the kind of person who worries about that. I am, and I did. I went earlier the same morning of my test to time the drive, and figure out where to park. Park in the back, and go up the stairs. There is a restroom on site, but not IN the testing office. You would need to get a key and go down the hall to use the bathroom. In my opinion, it's inconvenient if you are only allowed 5 minutes during a test. So plan ahead! That's it. If there were a zero star option they would get that as a rating. The customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. I went to take an exam. The girl told me that some imaginary "Board" told her supervisor that I needed to take a different version. I then tried to show her that I was registered for the previous version and that the actual Certifying authority(not them or their imaginary "Board") had published on the certification landing page that the previous version was still in use for almost 6 more months. The admin girl told me to get lost and threw a customer service number at me to figure it out myself. The number wasn't even the right number. Fast forward 20 minutes of being on hold...walk back in to try to get the testing center to help in any possible way...once again I'm told to get lost...go back outside and find the actual number to customer service (in India of course) and am promptly told that I am correct and should have been able to take the exam. By this point it's clear that the admin girl at the desk gave zero fucks and made up some imaginary "Board" so she could get rid of me as fast as possible to go back to playing crazy birds on her phone or something. If you can take your test anywhere else do it. This place could care less about getting you through your exam because they already have your money beforehand. read more

Although from the outside, the building had very little "curb appeal"... the PSI testing center was very conducive for test takers. The temperature was perfect despite being quite warm outside. The noise level was kept at the minimum as other test takers continue to check-in. The computers were all up to date, and most importantly, the testing center did not smell like an old library! The staff here is very conspicuous of their test takers. I have now been at this location 5 times to take various tests, and every time I ask myself why I go back there. This last time I went to take my clinical MFT exam and didn't pass. When I came out I asked to use the bathroom because I was sitting through a 4 hour exam and had taken no breaks because I was too scared that I wouldn't make it back before the 5 minute bathroom break limit during the test and I would forfeit my exam. The girl told me I could use the bathroom but was adamant about giving my results before I went to the bathroom. She was just gawking at me in shock because she had to give me my test results, which I had failed and she was waiting to see my reaction. I specifically saw her look at the top right of my paper to see my results. Once she gave me the paper she continued to gawk at me in judgment, and I just grabbed the paper and walked out. I don't think it's right that they look at your test results and then judge you for it. I do have to schedule this exam over and I promised myself not to schedule it at this location again. read more

I've been to several testing centers over the years, but this one was really nice. It was small, but quaint and cozy, so that the tester felt comfortable while doing that "Oh-My-God-A-TEST!" thing. Unlike Pearson-Vue, you don't have a proctor sitting behind you (something I have an absolute phobia about, no matter WHAT the situation) but, instead, the girls are behind a two-way glass at the long end of a double row of testing banks - really nice to look left or right and know that they are there. Also, everyone testing is situated so that the test taker is really not aware of interlopers around. The girls were friendly, and came immediately if you had to raise your hand for a question about the process. The only thing I didn't like was that the "Candidate Booklet" told you not to bring ANYTHING into the test center when, in fact, you can bring a few items and put them in a locker (good for sunglasses or a raincoat or something that you absolutely need). read more

I have had good experiences with Psi as a result of my own preparedness. Most issues are easily avoided simply by reading all the info in the "information bulletin" that's emailed with confirmation notice. Like being late, stuff you shouldn't bring, wearing the wrong clothing etc so BE SURE TO READ! Except when there's a power outage, that's inconvenient but with things like that, PSI is accommodating. What I didn't understand my first time there was that PSI enforces my BOARDS rules (taking pic, emptying pockets, not letting me wear my hoodie), these security procedures aren't necessarily PSIs so be careful or you're basically telling your own board that you're not going to follow their rules! Testing environment was quiet and welll organized, though not well decorated. But it is a testing center, not a magazine cover. There were sounds from the office next door briefly but ear plugs took care of that. The professionals who work there are usually pretty nice if you're not giving them a hard time. The dates and times they offer for scheduling online are complete updated. not availability as they show online. then , I called costumer service for scheduling and the lady over the phone scheduled me for the wrong examination, even that i clarified her couples of times that i carried Life license already and i just needed to take Accidental and Health. READ your confirmation. they do not know how to do their job.
