I needed to take an exam locally and selected Quality Tutoring becase they had the soonest available test date and time. I studied really hard all night and early morning and on my way to the test center I quickly searched for my conformation e-mail. I pulled it up and read it and read that you need to print out a copy of the conformation and bring it with you as they do not allow cell phones in the test center. I panicked because who prints things anymore and there were no places I knew off the top of my head that I could print a piece of paper at and if there were places that I could print at they opened after 9 a.m. I decided to calm down and just show up and see what happens and I'm happy to report, they never once asked to see the conformation e-mail, they just asked for my name and test I was taking and my ID. There was one young woman and you man working. The young man escorted me to the locker where I was instructed out all my belongings in the locker, even my car keys. Shortly after I was ushered to my computer station and began my test. The room I was in was quiet and had no other testers in there at the time. I was able to focus and complete my test without any distractions. I passed my test, gathered my belongings from the locker and dropped the key off at the front desk and was on my way. If I needed to test again I would come back here as it was a pleasant experience and the staff were very polite and efficient.

The payment policy is also great because you get a discount for prepaid packages and if for any reason you need to cancel, you get your money back for the unused credits. Since then, my daughter has thrived with teaching tailored to her abilities rather than her age (she has a late birthday, so in the public school system she would still be at the preschool level). Thanks to the support of her teachers, she has excelled academically. After a year at FVM, she took the GATE exam through the school district. Not only was she able to skip a grade, and she was also accepted into the GATE program. I truly believe this wouldn't have happened if she hadn't attended FVM. I'm incredibly grateful to FVM and all the staff. Ms. Sneha is such a kind and caring person. Without her, my daughter wouldn't have had the opportunity to learn here. Ms. Neranja, one of my daughter's primary teachers, holds strong teaching principles, and whenever I speak with her, I feel confident that my daughter is in good hands. This place is amazing. When comparing this specific tutoring place to other tutoring places that I have gone to, this one has been helping me in both academics and personal problems. Whenever something bothers me that affects my academics, the director of JTutoring had a heart to heart discussion with me that allows me to understand the reality and how to balance my problems and school. As an attendee at JTutoring and an very active student in extra circulars at school, it was hard for me to follow the schedule I had established at JTutoring. The director of JTutoring is very understanding and helpful, so she let me revise my schedule for the meantime until everything calms down. The way the tutors teach is easier for me to understand than how my teacher taught the lesson at school. It is like a one and one interaction where the tutor reviews the lesson and gives us problems so they can make sure we understand the lesson. When looking at the aura of JTutoring, it is very positive. The tutors and students that go there are very nice and positive. It is really easy to communicate with one and other. Last year my grades were not good overall. So my mom took me here over the summer to prepare for Algebra 2. At first, I wasn't sure if tutoring was going to help, but Ms Jeani and the tutors were very encouraging. Ms. Jeani also encouraged me to prepare for Chemistry over the summer too because she told me it can be a difficult subject to learn. I'm so glad I did because I'm more confident and prepared in both math and chemistry. Not only do they help me with my weak subjects, but they also teach me problem solving skills. My confident has increased a lot and now I enjoy going here. So far I'm doing better this year than last year and I focus more on school. My youngest sister went here for her SAT prep before entering college and the result was absolutely amazing!! Jeani really listened to my sister's concern and had truly focused on improving her Math and English skills. As a result, my sister got a SAT score as 1400 for the FIRST TIME. All the tutor here were well trained loving and caring for each student. This place is amazing. I have been going here since my freshman year, and my perspective on school had changed. I was a terrible student in my freshman year where I tend to slack off A LOT. Ever since going to JTutoring, I have been getting back on track with my academics. Whenever I am off track, the director and tutors (shout out to Ricky, Jennifer, Jeani, Lana, and Billy!) are there to keep me on track. The tutors here as well as the Westminster location really help encourage students who are struggling improve their grades. As a failing student, Ms. Jeani and the other tutors have helped me raise up my grades from F's to acceptable grades.I struggled in subjects in HS like Algebra2,AP World History, Chemistry and many other subjects. The tutors really care for the kids. I have been going for a couple years now and I have improved myself as a better person. Before I came to to JTutoring, I had went to few different tutoring places, and so far I like this tutoring place the best. Ever since I came here, I had improved a lot when it comes to math. The tutors here are caring and kind. They all do their best to help the students improve their grade and review with students before an upcoming test. This is a great place to send your child if you want to see immediate improvement. After going here for around less than a month, I noticed a huge difference in my grade. We do have a unique viewpoint, because we have attended three centers. #1: Miss Vicki simply gives a level of customer service that we didn't receive at the other centers. Her communications are rapid fire, and it makes it so easy with my daughters complicated schedule. #2: Miss Vicki has carefully crafted extra reading, as well as extra writing samples that the children can complete after their Kumon is completed. To me this is really going the extra mile. #3: Miss Vicki's staff are polite and helpful. We have seen in the past staff not being very nice at times. Miss Vicki runs a tight ship . Favorite Kumon center ever !

The tutors make learning fun for the kids and they all seem to make an effort to get to know each child on a more personal level and cater to each child's learning needs. The students are expected to show their tutors their test scores, GPA, reports, etc so the tutors can keep track of each students' progress. The tutors also make every effort to talk to every parent as needed so us parents are kept in the loop of their kids' progress. Besides making sure the kids stay on top of all their class work and maintain their grades, The Homework Club also have the kids participate in several fun activities, such as drawings for prizes, skate night, field trips during the summer session, etc! Check out their decorations for Halloween and other holidays! As of now, The Homework Club accepts students from TK-8th... and I HOPE that they will expand to include high school students because I don't want my kids to go anywhere else.!

So I'm really happy with that! I hope the improvements will continue into next year. I also like that the program is not restricted to 1 or 2 days a week. I can take them all 5 days if I wanted to. Now that the summer program kicked in, it's 6 days/week plus an extra hour for math games!

Danny is great at listening to feedback and does not hesitate to cater the lessons to a child's specific needs. Cindy is especially patient with the younger children. The center is a great place to get help on homework or supplement the school curriculum by working on more advanced level work. Driving almost 30 minutes to get there can sometimes be a pain but knowing that our kids have a safe, nurturing yet disciplined environment makes the time spent worth it. Danny and Cindy have also done in-home private tutoring for us which I would also highly recommend. I look forward to having our kids grow academically and in all aspects at Elevated!

And I attribute that to the extra time he spends at Kumon. And it's only been a couple of months!! His penmanship is getting better and more legible. He answers math questions quicker, he's able to blend word and write multiple sentences about a singular topic. He's reading words that I didn't even know he knew. He enjoys the kumon workbooks for the most part and is excited to do them (but it could be because it's part of his "chore" list). He enjoys the challenge of being able to finish the booklets "faster" each time. At first when we began, he was doing both math and reading/writing with 10-page booklets. But honestly, it was a lot for my lil kinder guy especially after a long day of school and activities. After speaking with Mr. Michael, he suggested cutting the workload to either just one subject or fewer number of pages. I chose the latter to ensure that both topics were covered still and I've seen major improvements on willingness to complete the books, excitement to do the work and satisfaction of doing a job well done. The little rewards they have in the center also are a cute incentive. The kids are given kumon dollars to earn towards little prizes. It's adorable to see the kids count their money and decide if they want to spend now or save for a bigger item. Great way to teach a child about the value of a dollar, delayed vs instant gratification, and smart spend habits. I've seen a mix of kids who go "shopping" with the few kumon dollars they've earned and get small items and I've seen many save up for the bigger prizes. Ms. Mindy is incredibly sweet but stern at the same time. No push-over there and she can turn whining of "I don't knows" into smiles of "I know it!!!" almost magically! (I gotta learn that trick!!!) The center is open Mondays and Thursdays starting at 230pm. Depending on workload, kids finish up their in-class work in average of 45minutes. They are also assigned homework to complete when at home. Some parents like to sit there and wait in the small front entrance or in their cars, but Starbucks, albertsons, dollar tree, Ross, marshalls, Home Depot and a bunch of other stores are nearby for a quick shopping trip. So convenient. I never understood why anyone would want to sit in their car for 45 minutes. If my son gets done early, he calls me on the center's phone and Mr. Michael never lets anyone out unless he sees parent. It's amazing that he can he remember all the kids and all the parents...by first and last name!! I think one of the best advice I got so far from Mr. Michael and Ms. Mindy was if my kiddo doesn't finish the work at home, it IS okay. Pushing him too hard will just discourage him and he will not enjoy kumon. They can always move the work to the next day. The important thing is that my kiddo goes at his own pace which will allow him to continue to enjoy the work and succeed. Can't wait to see how this year progresses!!!

The environment didn't come across as very warm or kid-friendly, which immediately raised some concerns. What stood out the most was their policy around classroom access. I completely understand and respect not wanting to disrupt learning time, but parents are not allowed to enter the classroom or even look through the window to check on their child. For me, that lack of transparency felt like a major red flag. Also, in the state of California, parents are generally allowed to access areas where their children are present, especially in licensed childcare settings. Knowing that made this policy feel even more concerning. As a parent, feeling comfortable and reassured about your child's environment is extremely important, and I didn't get that sense here. I would recommend proceeding with caution or exploring other options that allow for more openness and peace of mind.
