One of my nieces came to HW Club unable to read as a first grader. Belinda and her team helped change that almost instantly. The tutors make learning fun for the kids and they all seem to make an effort to get to know each child on a more personal level and cater to each child's learning needs. The students are expected to show their tutors their test scores, GPA, reports, etc so the tutors can keep track of each students' progress. The tutors also make every effort to talk to every parent as needed so us parents are kept in the loop of their kids' progress. Besides making sure the kids stay on top of all their class work and maintain their grades, The Homework Club also have the kids participate in several fun activities, such as drawings for prizes, skate night, field trips during the summer session, etc! Check out their decorations for Halloween and other holidays! As of now, The Homework Club accepts students from TK-8th... and I HOPE that they will expand to include high school students because I don't want my kids to go anywhere else.!

I would absolutely recommend Sunflower Preschool!…read more My son attended Ms. Cecilia's class, and she is truly one of the best teachers anyone could ask for. You can tell she takes great pride in her work and cares about her students. She puts so much effort into teaching the children performances for Christmas and graduation. I was amazed by how much my son was able to learn and accomplish. The students respect her and love her. My son was excited to go to school everyday. Not only is the teaching phenomenal, the school also provides healthy lunch and dinner. Ms. Kathy is an amazing director. She knows every student and parent by name. We are going to miss this school very much. Thank you to everyone at Sunflower Preschool for giving my son such a wonderful experience!

Brookhurst elementary school is a public school serving from grade k-8.(LInk:http://www2.ggusd.us)…read more My review is specifically for the toddler class here and I have no experience with the other classes so far. -The preschool teachers are nice /friendly. -They provide students with an opportunity for learning involving physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development. -Parents & teachers work together to enrich child's early educational exp. -They have lots of fun activities, crafts for the kids - I have volunteered for this school few times and it's fun. This was my 1st attempt to review a Public school in USA, and since I completed my studies/higher studies overseas, so I really don't know much about the schools/curriculum here. Saying that back in my school -it was only about "studies" and no fun, academics were very tough, teachers were very strict and all we did was study and tests. After I see the schools here and how much fun they have I just feel that we missed out on the Fun part back in our school. Oh well!

Kimberly has been doing this tutoring business for a while so she has the hang of it and gives me some very helpful pointers. The other tutors are genuinely passionate about tutoring and improving the grades of their students. As for tutoring options, the center itself is a tutoring location and the other option involves tutoring at the student's home. I recommend tutoring at the students' homes because it helps students focus better and is a more controllable environment than the center. Overall, It's a pleasant place to work at and all the students have been making steady progress towards improving their grades.

We do have a unique viewpoint, because we have attended three centers. #1: Miss Vicki simply gives a level of customer service that we didn't receive at the other centers. Her communications are rapid fire, and it makes it so easy with my daughters complicated schedule. #2: Miss Vicki has carefully crafted extra reading, as well as extra writing samples that the children can complete after their Kumon is completed. To me this is really going the extra mile. #3: Miss Vicki's staff are polite and helpful. We have seen in the past staff not being very nice at times. Miss Vicki runs a tight ship . I have spent so much time there that I might be able to call it my second home. The principal, Mrs. Quynh Giao, is very passionate and determined in providing top-tier, high-quality educational resources for a variety of subjects. She really cares for each and every one of the her enrolled students and ensures that everyone is being their academic best. Furthermore, all the tutors that I have worked with at A Plus are very kind and are always willing to teach/answer questions. They make sure that their lessons are not only educational, but also fun and engaging. All in all, whenever I needed help with my challenging courses, from AP Chemistry to Precalculus, I always turned towards A Plus and was always satisfied with the result. With the far less expensive tuition at A Plus, combined with its A1 educational resources, it doesn't get better than this. You won't regret enrolling here. Thank you A Plus and Mrs. Quynh Giao for all the amazing academic wonders you have done for me and your students!

I am honestly glad that I attended this tutoring center. I have been here from fourth grade until…read moretenth grade. Generally speaking, I spent a lot of time here. In that case, I feel as if there is so much I can say about this place! To start off, I'll describe the environment. The classrooms are pretty much well taken care of. Staff members are putting time and effort to keep this place sanitary and safe for students. Teachers even spend extra time to ensure cleanliness and put up some decorations in the classes. Aside from the physical environment of the classrooms, the staff members additionally feel like family to me! They have been treating me with kindness and care for as long as I can remember. Despite having to discuss about school, they build a fun and interesting atmosphere for students. The teachers play a big role there and I'm grateful for many wonderful influences in my life. The environment I have been surrounded by for many years is one of the main reasons why I have grown to like this place. Along with my surroundings, this place is doing more than enough in terms of education for students attending. There is always extra practice to do after homework and a wide range of books to choose from. Because I spent many consecutive years there, I found many benefits to the provided resources of the center. I used prep books and multiple practice packets. On the plus side of this, I didn't always have to bring my textbooks home. They carry most of my math and science textbooks, always staying updated with common core. On a more personal note, the students are really like no other. I can pretty much say that there are issues that arise, but nothing that interferes with other students and their education. Whenever conflicts start, the staff members are always there to straighten things out. I know that I can trust them and they have given me reason not to be concerned when attending the tutoring. Nevertheless, I even met my current best friend there. We have formed an amazing group of friends who have become important figures in my life. Although I no longer attend this tutoring center, I have been visiting and encouraging others to try this place out. I even decided to volunteer here for multiple purposes! The location is generally near by my area and close to convenient stores like CVS and Jack in the Box. It is apparent as to how much I favor this tutoring center. All in all, I have no idea how to show my huge appreciation for this place. Thank you Mrs. Dung, Mrs. Jenny, Miss Rea, Mr. Tony, Mr. Bui, and Ms. Chelsey. I miss you guys and I am thankful for all that you have done for me. As for the owner, Mrs. Dung, I hope that this tutoring center will prosper and guide your many students.

Education is alright, could be better. Most students there are overly sensitive. Example, complaining to staff and throwing trash onto floors, walls, and tables just because it's not theirs. Bathrooms are mostly always dirty, hand dryer doesn't work due to students punching it and has been broken for the past year. Older students there have "too much drama" I've went here all throughout my education, it's had its ups and downs. Ps.
