I am an Alumn from BSNRS cohort 7 but a majority of the experience of my time at Stanbridge was in BSNLA cohort 6. I finished the BSN program in July of 2025. I received my ATT (approval to test) within one week from my last day. I had the option to test immediately but I had applied to test with accommodations so with limited centers for accommodations I tested 1 month out in August and passed the first time. I worked closely with our Careers Center and the director Dr. Willinger to create an amazing resume right after receiving my license, began applying to jobs immediately and received an invitation to interview within one week for DaVita. Two weeks later I received an invitation to interview for an ER position close to home which was my first choice to build a strong foundation as a new nurse. I know there are a lot of negative comments about this school on here. I have heard and watched a lot of sad and crazy experiences that my friends and other peers endure with staff and faculty throughout my 3.5 years there. I have experienced questionable professors and staff who are obviously there for the paycheck. On the other end, I have met 2x as many INCREDIBLE staff and faculty throughout my time at Stanbridge. People need to understand that this is still a relatively new program and it's still working through a lot of adjustments both within the programs itself, how they handle students, and how they handle staff. But with being new comes an advantage to incoming students because with the help of the right people and resources, there is flexibility and grace that comes with a class or a term that possibly end in a fluke (I.e. bad professors, missing classes due to extreme circumstances, etc.). I understand this is not everyone's experience, but I HAVE seen multiple times where the school does work with students to properly evaluate their knowledge of a subject a second time if there is overwhelming evidence showing it was not properly done the first time. It also is dependent on how an issue is communicated as well. Any nursing program out there is hard and rigorous. Stanbridge is not unique to this. I can confidently say that I went in to the NCLEX feeling so prepared because of how this school preps you. If you follow testing strategies and work closely with the coaches at the end of the program YOU. WILL. PASS. From Term 1 Stanbridge works with students not just on building testing stamina but building testing stamina while sleep deprived. It's not officially an actual thing. They always told us to be well rested and to eat before but, the reality of any nursing program is adequate sleep is simply not possible. You just have to get through each term and pass. Keep moving even if you have a set back, do your best to not stop. I have no idea how many times I thought to myself that I will more than likely not remember anything after the program and I questioned if I really actually learned anything. I have been an ER nurse for almost 7 months now. Every moment of feeling competent, confident, and proud to be a nurse I owe to Stanbridge. While most of my peers in my new grad program have forgotten a lot of basics and high priorities, I am one of the few who still remembers and I am so thankful. I had zero medical background coming into the program. My science gpa at a 3.5 was not competitive enough for CCs, UCs, or CSUs to see me as a priority candidate for their RN program. Stanbridge was the first school to take a chance on me and invest in me. Before Stanbridge I was never the student who was picked for scholarships, awards, or special internships. The last 2 years at Stanbridge I received scholarships every term, was selected for Student Hospital Fellowship, received the Presidential Service Award, and ended the program with the Thomas Fuentes Service Award. This was all because ONE staff member encouraged me to apply each time an opportunity was sent out. The Stanbridge experience is truly what YOU choose to make it. I have met some amazing people with incredible hearts at this school. I loved that I don't need to hike or walk a mile to get to class. I loved that I only needed to be on the ground once or twice a week. Nursing school was THE hardest thing I have ever done. I gave up my entire life for 3 years just to eat, live, breathe, and sleep nursing. You can ensure your success in this program if you want this more than anything else. There will be times where you have to pick school over your family and it sucks. But being on the other side now, it is SO worth it and now I have the rest of my life. My husband is currently in the program now and is in term 4 at the OC campus. He hasn't been in school full time in over 10 years and he is doing amazing. I'm proud to be a nurse and I'm proud to be a Stanbridge Alum. The cost for tuition is pretty steep. If you have a good tribe behind you and can afford to not work during the program, I highly recommend it! read more

lol I want to add. I once shared with Mahdi that my newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic child was experiencing glucose highs. She responded by saying "oh her numbers aren't stabilized yet?" With a huge air of judgment lol. Which told me she knows NOTHING about the disease. She also doesn't like to answer questions regarding children. Only the elderly which seems to be the group of people she has compassion for lol. I don't care how much time has passed, what a joke that she's teaching future nurses. I would still love an explanation as to why my daughter's documented medical emergency was held against my grade and why Stanbridge doesn't hold her accountable as well as to why I am stuck with these loans. read more

I was in the part-time nursing program at Stanbridge, and my experience was straightforward. The expectations were clear, communication was consistent, and the schedule worked for my life. The pacing was manageable. It was challenging, but it felt intentional rather than overwhelming. As a mom with two kids, I was able to handle it. They are my everything so I'm proud to do it for them. The course and labs were hands-on, the instructors were clear, and the program prepared me well for the NCLEX. I stayed organized, used support when I needed it, and never felt like I was struggling to get answers or keep things on track. She has ultra strict dress code for class , you must wear pure white leather shoes , no stain or other color are tolerated, no wrinkles on out fit . she also FORCE us to cover any tattoos with stickers , and a lot other ridiculous rules that totally violates our constitution!! I know there's a lot of strong opinions out there, but this is how I look at it. I went through Stanbridge, passed the NCLEX, and I'm working in the field now. For me, that matters more than any single comment online. One thing that gets overlooked a lot is this is an associate's degree, and that comes with higher academic and clinical standards. The program is meant to be rigorous on purpose. They don't make it easy because patient safety is on the line. That focus shows up in licensure outcomes. You don't pass the NCLEX, and programs don't consistently post strong results unless expectations are high. The experience wasn't perfect. It was stressful, and there were times I had to push myself harder then I expected. But the difficulty never felt arbitrary. Everything tied back to real nursing practice, accountability, and being prepared for the responsibility that comes with the role.I used tutoring when I needed it, and Career Services helped me the whole time. Those resources were there, but you have to be willing to actually use and work with them. What really kept me grounded was my motivation. My brother went through a serious accident when we were younger, and that shaped how I see healthcare. What stood out to me most were the nurses who took the time to explain things, who noticed when he was scared or overwhelmed, and who treated him like a person, not just a patient. Those moments mattered more than they probably realized. My mental health classes and labs stood out to me in particular, because that's the area I want to work in long term. That part of the program felt intentional and meaningful. That experience is a big reason I found my calling in nursing and mental health. I don't just want to do tasks. I want to be the kind of nurse who creates a sense of safety for patients who are already carrying a lot. Stanbridge helped me get there. This path isn't designed to be comfortable. It's designed to prepare you. It's not for everyone, but for students who understand what they're committing too and are willing to do the work, it delivers. just finished the LVN program here. it was tough to say the least. if you are not committed 110% you will fail. The program is super cut throat. If you are not willing to make sacrifices for 18 months it will get tough. You can't be late nor miss specialty courses or you will be dismissed. I seen many classmates fail because of this. if you fail a course it takes over 6 months to get back into the program and by that time you have lost over 2 terms of the program that you have to repeat. I graduated from their PTA program and had a truly positive experience. The instructors were all incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in student success. The course was well-organized and designed in a way that made it easier to understand and retain the material. Thanks to the solid preparation I received, I was very confident sitting for the Board exam and was able to pass it on my first try!!! Starting the program I was extremely excited! Labs, onsite classes and hybrid classes were well structured and had support. As the terms got closer to core, support was extremely limited. From the lack of professors and lack of admin support. I am waiting to reenroll for two terms now and unless I reach out to them there is no update. When submitting the documents, there are still failing to add me to the term. This is an extremely disappointing school. Stanbridge University is one of the most disorganized, dishonest, and unprofessional institutions I've ever encountered. I'm currently enrolled in their BSN program, and I'm urging anyone considering this school: do not make the mistake we did. Let's start with the basics: * We were not given an instructor until week 5 of a 10-week course. Half the quarter gone, and we were left completely unsupported. * Over half of our cohort of 40 students failed. That's not a student issue--it's a program failure. * They ignore your emails, refuse to clarify grades, and hide behind robotic responses. Real questions never get real answers. * Office staff members do not have the proper credentials, and when students ask for verification, the response is: "We will no longer be communicating with you." Completely unprofessional and alarming. They claim to support students with accommodations--but it's all for show. A friend of mine who had just given birth and still had stitches was forced to return to campus a week postpartum under threat of dismissal, despite a pregnancy contract in place. When asked why the contract wasn't honored, we were told it goes against their attendance policy. Then why even have a pregnancy policy? It's dangerous, deceptive, and shows a total disregard for student health. And the people in charge? * Dr. Harrity, the BSN program director, has been overheard by multiple students calling us 'stupid.' No apology. No accountability. This is who they allow to lead. * They dismiss valid academic questions with vague, deflective emails, offering no real support. * They've withheld critical information about accreditation. Stanbridge was recently rejected by WASC--a major regional accreditor--and students were never told. We had to discover this ourselves. * They only have one accreditation left (ABHES), and are currently under review. That means your degree could be worthless if it's lost--and they are not being transparent. Multiple students have reported Stanbridge to the BPPE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education) due to these issues. And it's not just one student with a bad experience--it's dozens. Entire cohorts are confused, overwhelmed, unsupported, and traumatized by how little this school cares. Stanbridge markets itself as a premium nursing program--but behind the glossy brochures and Instagram posts, it's falling apart. The administration is dishonest, the communication is non-existent, and student well-being is consistently ignored. You are not getting what you paid for. You're not getting what was promised. You are being lied to, manipulated, and used for tuition dollars. This is not just a bad school--it's a risk to your future. Do your research. Ask current students. Bursar's Office: 0/10 Financial Aid Office: 0/10 School Overall: 0/10 Organization: 0/10 The only reason I'm still here is because I'm too deep into my BSN program to transfer. The lack of responsiveness from faculty is incredibly disappointing. If you have an issue, don't expect help because they won't try to support you. Attendance policies are strict, with only one allowed absence before being placed on probation, yet it's impossible to get basic administrative support. I've had ongoing issues with both the bursar and financial aid offices over a simple request for an itemized tuition bill. Despite following up multiple times, I've been sent in circles with no resolution. Additionally, they won't inform Mohela of your enrollment status, so you may be forced to start repaying federal loans while in school. Even though Mohela states that deferrals require school verification, the school has failed to complete this basic task. I just wanted clear guidance and support, but instead, I've been pushed aside for months. THIS SCHOOL SUCKS. read more

Im rating the program 5/5 for objectivity. I researched all the PTA programs in California and moved from the Bay Area to Irvine to attend this program specifically as it seemed to offer the best education. I wanted a good education, to be competent, and pass the NPTE easily. I did all 3. This program is hard! You bouta grind. I dont think yal hearin me though, I really had to tell the shawty I was dating we can only kick it once a week on fridays because I gotta study. Manz didn't go home for Christmas break because we had a practical as soon as we got back and I wasnt bouta take an L. Starting the program, I had no degree and no prior background in PT and felt really behind compared to my peers. Well I put in that work and graduataed with a 3.6 and honors. I was looking like a bottom tier draft pick day 1 but after puttin in that work I made it to that top tier. Anyways its hard but doable. Next, Im a grown man, and Im not bout that he say-she say drama. In my 2 years I really only had 1 minor indecent and it was resolved the same day with a professional Email and everything was cleared up with some communication. Look its a 2 year program, youre bound to have some disagreements but nothing major that would deter me from the program. I graduated in 2021 and Ive been in the field and no lie... Im HIM! I know what im doing when it comes to my craft. I work in out patient and the PT trusts my work and is only at the clinic 2 hrs a week so i fly solo most days. I learned enough that I can answer all my patints's questions confidently and progress interventions. Aye I know when I go to an interview, Larcell getting hired. Aight let me wrap this up. In closing stanbridge gave me a good foundation and met all my expectations. Its hard, but I aint no scrub so i was gone get it done by any means, and the hard work paid off. I was dropped from their LVN program for "failing" a course and I found out from a another student that she was kept despite having failed that same course yet I was dropped. FORGET ABOUT PETITIONING BCZ YOUSEFF DOES NOT CARE. HE IS THERE FOR YOUR MONEY AND MONEY ONLY. I tried and still wasn't kept despite having been on deans list for 3 terms consecutively. I'm writing this review in response to the girl that complained about Admission rep Laura in particular. I had Laura as my Admission rep and I feel this comment is very unfair towards her and would hate to have it impact her in anyway. I know some of my classmates whom she also helped with the process and we all like her. She is the kind of person i still go to if i have any questions or just say hi and check in from time to time. So i just want to share my experience to show case this is just one person who is kinda angry and negative for no particular reason in my opinion. Laura was the most helpful and the nicest person for the job. She is very knowledgeable of the programs and really wants to help me make a decision on what would be best for me. Blanscet, Dr. Pennington, and Dr Loveland-Grace were the best during such an intense program. There were also amazing lab instructors such as Dr Hansen, Dr Hirani and inst. The PTA Instructors are hella dope. Dr. Cardoze is a real G. Pennington will make you laugh your guts off. We miss Dr. Cleid (plz come back). Heisendorf made a feature in Phineas and Ferb as the main antagonist so that's cool. Master D is Master D. And Manning will absolutely manhandle your stuff if you don't get your stuff. Financial Aid blows... Also really miss the 2 days we spent in the VR Lab (what the heck happened to that btw??) Overall, I have to say that Joey the custodian is the realest one at Stanbridge. I know a scam when i see one and this school is literally only there for the money. I went to an admission meeting with Laura. It was a horrible experience so so extremely pushy. I brought my bf with me for support to tour the campus & Laura kept asking him if he wants to look into their OTA program??? The focus wasn't on me or anything about me and the RN program i was interested in. Never asked if i have any medical field background, could not speak English well. Literally bored me TO DEATH with a PowerPoint. It was a waste of my time. I left after 15 min it was dumb af and lowkey a little rachet inside, cardboard taped to the floors, no one to greet you. It was anything but welcoming. I didn't even get to the tour bc her attitude. She kept saying "Stanbridge doesn't need you" "we need to keep our pass rate to stay high" literally disgusting i Can see through that PowerPoint and i saw all i needed to see. I would never recommend someone to go here. IT IS A FOR PROFIT SCHOOL do your research. They care about their statistics than anything. Tried to brag and say they have laptops for each student...yea shity $200 laptops. Where is the $38k going for each LVN student. NEEEEXXXTTT I'm so so so happy i am not giving them my money. We should be allowed to give zero stars. This school is the worst life choice I have ever made. Now I am in debt. I was dismissed after only a mere percentage. They have you go through the reenrollment process only to put you into more debt. If you don't pass a course DO NOT file for an appeal and keep continuing with classes, because they will charge you up your @$$ only to deny your appeal. The reenrollment process is a joke, because they'll only delay you and keep giving you the run around and not place you into the next cohort. Speaking on the PTA program, I would 100% recommend it to others. My experience and education was well worth the inflated tuition. The PTA instrcutors were very skilled and knowledgeable in their crafts. They take the time to make sure we understand the material, while providing us with ample support in many ways. As rigorous as the program was, we had help every step of the way. They also prepared us extremely well for clinical experiences and our careers, as well as the boards exams. The overall staff at Stanbridge is incredible. From the administration to financial aid and career services, you have all the help you need, they make it so easy. read more

A highly motivated student with great grades in the RN program was dismissed halfway though the program bc of car problems, late 30 minutes to a class that haven't even started yet. The school keeps all that money and the student is out of luck. Also The faculty has high turnover, staff and teachers don't stay because of terrible organization. WAY overpromise and overcharge. If they cut the fees in 1/2 and stopped making promises they don't keep (and yes, I have both experienced and witnessed many of these) it wouldn't be so bad. But even with this they are dumping SO many students that every year the pay rate goes down. I went because I really saw no other direction to go in and I believed the promises. But I regret it and it was a huge expense. I'd have been better off working at Target and taking more time to explore options. I am an older student but they treated me, along with everyone else (whom I don' t suppose deserved it as young adults either) like some kind of misbehaving child pretty much every day. Everyone has been reaching out to me thinking I wrote that review, about sorority girls running the program. I didn't but whoever from cohort 10 did write it. I love you, hit me up, I'll buy you dinner. I'm the "sexist" student. I still have that email and the original email from the AD calling us all lazy. Drives me to be better every day! Gotta thank the program for that. This school is overpriced for what it is. PIMA medical is 1/3rd the price for the exact same certification. And is run much more professionally, at least IMO. Scorebuilders and PTA content master will let you pass the boards. IMO, nothing from the program helped me on the NPTE. However, It doesn't matter what school you go to. Passing the NPTE is all that matters. Once you pass it you're going to have to learn how to be a real PTA no matter what school you attend. It only matters how much you're willing to spend to get the piece of paper that lets you pass said boards. Before I launch into this heavily. I attended during COVID. It was obvious that the change from in person to online was beyond the management, administration, and critical thinking capacities of the leadership. Here's a buzzword I haven't used in a while that got me multiple "write ups." The "busywork" added was insane. We were no longer allowed to study in a way that benefited our learning style! Just a few hundred fill in the blank answers from the god awful PowerPoints. 2 hours of independent study was worth those 30 of those abysmal assignment sheets. Based on personal interactions and a lack of accountability from leadership this place is the bottom of the barrel option in my opinion. I wish I had listened to the 1star reviews. They're telling the truth. The others are being pressured to write 5star reviews. Multiple people from my cohort reached out to me saying they were being pressured to write 5star reviews "after my review" LOL! Looks like only a couple caved to the pressure. I did hate my time here but I have some great memories and stories. "Yes master!" IYKYK. All the negative being said. There are very good people at this school. Many instructors in the PTA program are amazing and want to help you succeed. Pennington, Manning, Blanscet(sorry for spelling), Patel, Baloy, Trafficante, Ali, Klein, Pula, and many more. There are good people here doing their best to help you succeed. As a bonus you will trauma bond with your cohort! I was on a submarine for gods sake, that was less traumatic than scambridge! This school did what I paid for. Allowed me to take the NPTE. Gave me the tools to pass the NPTE. And gave me more nightmares for 2 years than my first 2 years out the military! The fact it achieved this goal for the most money and the least effort is what earns it 1/5 stars in my book. read more

I am giving props to AZIN in career services. This girl is a light, thorough, and you can tell she is 100% authentic, which is RARE these days. My experience at Stanbridge was not always the best, but now that I have graduated and passed the NCLEX, I am being rewarded by being able to work with her. Like they be talkin a bunch shiz and they wrote me up a bunch of times for leaving campus after class was over and put my piercings on and the lady told me to come back to campus to write me up. That being said, the PTA faculty here are superb at ensuring their students fully grasp the material, and are supportive every step of the way. My cohort started with 26 and finished with 17 students, just to give an idea that this program will challenge the applicants! Concepts were taught in a variety of ways including VR labs, utilizing real and synthetic cadavers, lectures and lab days. I found it to be incredibly healpful how classes were split up with the lecture being the first half of the day, followed by lab afterward where you're utilizing scenarios and/or getting to know the manual techniques/modalities of physical therapy. Every day was a different subject, and the last day of the week were long-lab days which was a day all-encompassing that week's material, which was so helpful! Also, tutoring after school hours provided a different way of learning the material if you had specific questions needing clarification or personalized ways to understand a concept. The practical examinations and competency exams also really put the student to the test to see how well we are grasping concepts. Students are essentially given a scenario and the student is tested on appropriate interventions. They were tough, however there are so many opportunities to ensure that you are prepared prior to these exams. The PTA program consisted of 8 terms that were 10 weeks long, with a week between each term. There were 3 clinical rotations within the program, one (4 weeks) during term 5 and the other two affiliations within term 7 and 8 (6 weeks long). The internships further cemented what we had learned during diactics and also challenged my knowledge. Going into my last two clinical rotations, I felt so prepared for whatever came my way in the outpatient orthopedic setting and the skilled nursing facility, and my clinical instructors acknowledged that. In fact, during my outpatient ortho rotation, my CI was a board member for another PTA program, and he could really tell that Stanbridge has strong & passionate students based on his experience with previous Stanbridge PTA students. He even went on to say that his school which he was a board member for should implement Stanbridge's applicant process consisting of two interviews (one with admissions and one with a PTA staff). I would highly recommend Stanbridge University's PTA program here at Irvine. Not only are the professors passionate about the world that is Physical Therapy, but they are incredibly supportive of their students and their success as well. I think this program has a bit of an edge as the professors are all Physical Therapists (Doctorates & Master's degrees) so it pushes the student to think about what is expected of them as a PTA from a PT's perspective. The professors are so approachable, great listeners, and it is displayed through their awesome personalities that they love to teach. As a pre-OT student, I found it hard to find mentors to help me navigate through this process. Until I met one of the advisors, Richard Kim. For two years, this amazing individual has helped tremendously throughout the process. By updating me with important deadlines and even giving some tips to help me stand out as an applicant. If you are lost or need more information on the application process at this University, I would highly recommend Richard Kim!! He is very honest, passionate, and encouraging about what he does! I am proud to say that I got accepted by this amazing University! This review applies only to the Physical Therapist Assistant program. As a proud alumni, I can confidently say that I am so glad that I chose Stanbridge's PTA program. To keep it simple, this program is difficult and holds its students to high standards. With that being said, for those who accept this challenge and are willing to put in the work, it is all worth it in the end. The faculty truly care about your success as future clinicians. They make it clear that you are there to learn how to be exceptional PTAs, and not be force fed information just for testing purposes. The program directors, Dr. Eberhardt and Master D, as well as the other knowledgeable and passionate instructors, have done a wonderful job at constructing such a comprehensive program that encompasses all the values of what it means to be a PTA as well as preparing well for the NPTE, in which Stanbridge has a 99% passing rate from 2018-2022. For the prospective students, be prepared to work hard and to be challenged mentally as you will have ups and downs throughout the process. Work together with your classmates and cherish the time you spend with one another as time goes by quick while in school. This college is a scam. Stanbridge should have been called Scambridge. Do yourself a favor, and avoid this place at all costs. I waited few years to leave a review because I got traumatized and also got ptsd from attending here. This place is by far the worst experience I encountered. I can't even get myself to finish this review right now, just thinking about what I had to go through in their PTA program, gets my blood boiling.
