Coming back on here to give my update , I graduated from the RN program in January & passed my NCLEX first time !! I give a ton of credit to all professors, especially Professor JP for making Advanced Med Surg material easy to learn and absorb !!! My NCLEX was a good 75% med surg and I was able to recall so much from class that was taught by JP and Christine, it made the NCLEX easy in my opinion!! I hope this speaks volumes to how well these professors are !! I encourage those who are interested in Pacific College to go ahead and join this school! Like I said previously, if you put in your own work as a dedicated student, you will enjoy your time at this school and working with every professor! I'm a big Yelp review checker, and like many people, I hesitated to call Pacific College in Costa Mesa because of the outdated negative reviews. I started the ADN program at Pacific College in 2024, and looking back, one of the most impactful parts of my experience was having Professor Jonathan Pham for Advanced Med-Surg. He's one of those rare instructors who not only really knows his stuff, but also knows how to explain it in a way that just makes sense. I completed the ADN RN program at the Costa Mesa location. It was a little rough at first because it is an accelerated program but I had a lot of support from the professors and the new friends I made throughout the program. Nursing school isn't easy but pacific college made it fun. The teachers help a lot sharing their personal nursing experiences. If you have a complaint about this school you should contact BVNPT at (916) 263-7827 request the Enforcement Division. If you have financial aid issues or if Pacific College is overcharging you and refusing to send your paperwork to the State so you can take the NCLEX exam like they did me, contact BPPE at bppe@ca.gov or 916-574-8900/ 888-370-7589 to file a complaint. Jennifer Sanchez has never passed an NCLEX exam, she actually failed and never went back to take the test again, therefore she should never be "teaching" anything! Not an NCLEX review, not term 1, not anything! When Pacific College higher ups knowingly allow her to do NCLEX reviews, sit in during NEC visits, or allow her to try to teach they are cheating you out of a proper education. Several people have complained about this individual and when she finds out of your complaint Jennifer starts harassing you at school and online via Facebook to try and make the students quit. She is extremely unprofessional and is as crooked as they come boasting that she is getting an "education doctrine" through the falsifying of paperwork provided by Gamble. Gamble is in charge of Jennifer therefore students approach her thinking they can confidentially bring their concerns about Jennifer to her attention, however Gamble ignores us students and covers for Jennifer. Pretty soon you realize that Gamble is just as bad if not worse. If you take the IV class at this school beware that Gamble doesn't try to have someone that isn't licensed or qualified through BVNPT to teach this class because it will not count as she tried to do with my class. If you do take the IV class make sure that the supply used is not expired. Gamble will tell the class it's fine but it's not. I got an infection due to an expired saline that was used on me. When my PCP requested the lot# to report it she gave a totally different lot# for a different saline that wasn't used and still asked me to do a Yelp review so here we are. When we figured out that Gamble is no good we tried to follow the chain of command at Pacific College to try and have our concerns heard. Sadly both Paul Bott and Donna Woo ignored our emails and my attempts to set up a meeting by visiting the campus. One can only imagine that if the very top of the chain of command ignores students requests for a meeting to address several students concerns, they are both fully aware of the shady, crooked, education and money stealing, unprofessional things that are going on at Pacific College. Make sure you keep your original financial aid contract! Pacific College has a magical number of approximately $3,000 that they like to overcharge each student and if you do not have your original financial aid contract they say that they updated their system and no longer have it but that the numbers are correct. The financial aid department will "fix" the overcharge but only if and when you provide them with your original financial aid contract to dispute. A school should always be able to provide an itemized bill for all the charges and credits but Pacific doesn't. When we paid for the IV class we were told we would get a booklet and other supplies that we paid for however we didn't get a booklet or any supplies nor our money back for never getting anything. I feel like there's more I could say but at this time I can't remember every single incident or argument we had with this school. Like all the schools there are ups and downs! The organization can improve. However, you need to take it day by day and keep studying. He explains it very well and again makes me feel confident and smart when I try . Louie who is apart of admissions asked my classmates and I to write a review on how he did, and I'm going to be very honest. The experience signing up into the nursing program was terrible. Everything was unorganized, unprofessional, and we were receiving last minute updates regarding if we needed to be on campus or not for theory. Whenever I tried getting in contact with Louie, he ignored me or referred me to someone else. You can't really get a hold on anyone at the school if you're calling, you physically need to be there to receive help if you have any questions. It's been very frustrating here so far and I'm wishing moving forward that the program does get better when it does come down to communicating, if you're thinking about signing up for this school, I wouldn't recommend speaking to Louie. A lot of false information was told to myself and others and when I wanted answers as to why, I heard nothing but excuses which is not okay. He wasn't honest about working with my schedule, mentioned that we were able to pick theory days, how our skills/clinical started around 6:30-7 because of my work schedule over the weekend etc... just lies. Also, we were told last minute that we'd be moving campuses which caused another inconvenience. If I knew prior to joining this school, I would've went elsewhere. I'm not saying everyone is terrible here, most staff are understanding and helpful, but my experience with Louie weren't great and I didn't feel like all my questions were answered when I needed their help ever. I also reached out to Nadeem and didn't get much help from him as well when it came to them telling us that we had to attend a last minute orientation prior to school starting literally days before. When I came to him and explained how last minute this was and how I'd have to rearrange my schedule due to last minute changes, he didn't care. Instead of coming up with solutions like having orientation on zoom because he knew it was last minute, he didn't think about our work schedules, kids, arrangements we'd need to make last minute because of their doing. I understand it's nursing school, but letting students know only a day prior, day of is just ridiculous. Not to mention, we had the SAME orientation back in February of this year, so it was pointless have another one. Tried to get information, admissions office was closed. I called Louie Garcia and we set an appointment for zoom at 3 pm. He didn't show up. I called him a week later, he set up an appointment on zoom again because he wasn't available to give me a tour. Attended the zoom, still wanted to see a tour and he couldn't give me an appointment until 2 weeks later. I canceled my very last appointment bc something came up and he was unwilling to reschedule for a different day. Very rude, unhelpful, unorganized and unprofessional. If the admissions office is like that, I can expect the whole school to be unorganized and unprofessional as well. read more

I attended Pacific College for my Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), and my experience was great! Don't fall for Nadeem's recruitment call or the other people Calling saying "21 day left to get enrolled and get your paper work in, give me a call back" (I was waiting in the lobby and I can overhear the calls being made out) 2nd post here - i just left Pacicif College, finally received my diplomas after 3 months short from turning 2 years since I completed the program. 1st year was them telling me that my diploma was mailed out to me and I should receive it 3-6 months. Than periods of no response to my emails, months at a time after constant request for updates. After they charged me for commencement, and after attending commencement they told me it was on hold due to outstanding balance ....... Wish I would have been told sooner.... I asked if I could go in to pay/ receive me diploma, 9 months later I received the email that it was finally ready for me, and to bring in $9,350 so I can receive my diploma. I'm calling, calling, and calling (still trying to be respectful of people time) to check if it's okay for me to show up same day to pick up since email responses are taking too long. Of cores no answers! So I show up The receptionist in unprofessional clothes, hair looking like she rolled out of bed and ran to her job. the billing girl in flip flops and a pancho, anddddd NADEEM the recruiter counts the money before handing over my diploma. They were laughing up a storm, joking around with each other like no business is actually running in the facility. What is frustrating about them laughing up a storm and joking around while I am there to pay the $9,350 dollar balance in order to receive my diploma is the fact that other students also experienced getting charged unexplained amounts because Pacific claims that "the school did not receive FAFSA". Other students luckily caught it on time. Looking at the reviews now I see how other students experience the same scam I did . read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. Pacific College is a CATFISH SCHOOL, they portray to be a top notch school once you sign on the dotted lines the circus begins. No support, no tools, no tutoring etc. They have instructors who've been out of the field for over 20+ plus years who's not up to date with any of the new scopes of practice. Everything she teaches is out of date and ancient. Poor Ms. Zehner 80 years old, she's a liability for the school. They don't speak to any of the "students" especially if you're not of their decent. Everyone else is below them in they have no problem showing you. They are rude when you ask questions about the program and even reply with " Why don't you go somewhere else?" If I could give zero stars to this school I would. Stay away from staff member Jennifer Sanchez!!! I am not sure why she is "teaching" there in any program, since she is not licensed. Sanchez has never even passed an NCLEX exam yet they have her "teaching/tutoring" for NCLEX/ test review. I am not 100% sure how that is legal! These are FACTS that can be verified online in the nationwide and CA database- she doesnt have nor has she ever passed NCLEX and has never been licensed. She is very unprofessional to boost her non-educated mind on top of all the other red flags. Jennifer is also "in-charge" of sending the school paperwork to allow you to take the NCLEX- you better pray she does it right or likes you if not it will get sent 3 times and kicked back from the state the first 2 times until she finally figures out what she did wrong. As far as financially, I should've listened to some of the reviews. They were trying to overcharge me by $4,000. Again, same reason as others below that supposedly financial aid hadnt paid but then when I logged in to the state FAFSA they did pay. My bill went from owing $4,000 to owing $75- SERIOUSLY! Furthermore, they say that the charge of the NCLEX exam is included but when it was time to take the exam it all of a sudden wasnt and that was an additional non-expected expense. The extremely few people that are nice and helpful are so overwhelmed that no one truly gets the education that you are paying so much money for. I truly do not recommend any of the campuses of this school. I completed my LVN in 2019. The actual office staff is the worst, Jennifer Woo solely cares about the money you bring in and not the education. You basically have to be your own Financial aid counselor since the constantly change since they either quit because they realize the mess they walked into or get fired because they messed up. I graduated and it wasn't until 6 months later when they said that the previous financial aid rep made a mistake from the start in 2017 they said I couldn't receive my actual diploma until I paid 7k. Jennifer Woo did not offer any apologies or sympathy. The absolute worst. I made a complaint with the board in 2019 as well. Please look at all you other options before coming here. And know what you are getting into review all you paperwork and do you own calculations. Coz obviously nothing has changed except the fast turnovers of Dean of nursing. If you ever need anything from administration, they take forever to get back to you or just totally ignore you! But when you owe them money, they do not waste time calling or emailing you a bill. If you're going to pay 80-100k for a private nursing school, just go to west coast university. I am a recent RN graduate, cohort 5. My experience at this school was unfortunate. The only thing good about this school was my OB professor (Bobby J) and my advanced med surg professor (Nelson). These two ladies should take their knowledge to a college that actually cares about their students, not just the money. They really went above and beyond to assist every single one of us. Admin is horrible here. The assistant director is a professor, a director, cafeteria worker, janitor, financial aid, etc. She takes on way more than she can handle and ultimately doesn't do well at anything. She would be an amazing director if she had the ability to stick to one job description. Leadership course during last semester is a complete joke. They take zero feed back from the student and "adjust" their syllabus every 5 min to make their jobs easier without considering the students. We were the first cohort to take the next gen nclex and got zero to no help/practice on ngn. Although they will say they prepared us so well and gave us ALL the tools necessary to succeed. Professor Gerez will go on rants about her personal life and focus the last 20 min of our paid time to review course material. Tutoring was never an option because no one had the spare time to offer it. After many complaints they attempted to offer it but always looked forward to same day cancellations. It wasn't until last semester when they attempted to make themselves more available. Financial aid department is non existent. You email today and possibly hear back from them in 4 months. Our last semester ended in April 2023 and we still haven't had a graduation ceremony. they are still "working on it" but I already paid for it. I am SO glad I am out of this school. If you are going to choose a private school and sacrifice your well earned money, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go elsewhere. I am a new graduate from Pacific College 12/2022, and proud to say that I passed my NCLEX on the 1st try after only 75 questions! Dr. Attala was a humongous help in this area. He provided encouragement, knowledge and confidence in me and my fellow peers. With his NCLEX preparation and reminding us to never give up, push ourselves because the BIG pay off is at the end. I was in Cohort 6 of the ADN program, and I feel like its a good time to speak out. I had such a terrible experience at this school, I can't recommend it at all. The professors are nice, but that's about it. The financial staff (all the way up to the COO) are the absolute worst. They were so unhelpful with my student account, and I ended up getting wrongfully dismissed from the program. They only have one private loan service to finance your education. No matter your credit, it's at 18% interest. There are no other options from banks, credit unions or Sally Mae. It felt very sketchy, and with how disorganized the schedule was, they made it extremely difficult to work and pay the $2300/month the program. They absolutely will not work with you. They only would respond or get into contact with me when the money was due, which was 5 months into the program, and that was in the form of threats. When I emailed back for clarification, I was ignored. I emailed and called many, many times during the session to get clarification on what I owed, and to come up with a plan to pay, but my contact was ignored. It even got to the point where I was gaslighted by them, claiming they never received any emails or calls in their "system". I went through the emotional trauma of trying to go through this program, deal with the erratic schedule, and still try to figure out how to work full time to afford it, while the financial department was breathing down my neck. They harassed me like the mob, but refused to help me when I had questions about exactly what I owed. Going through nursing school is difficult, and I expected that. What I did not expect was the stress and drama caused by the financial administration that nearly broke me. Stay away from this school, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. read more

Welcome to PC where the teachers read off the power point slides and leave you hanging with un answered emails. You can be passing all your classes and for any bogus reason they will tell you that you need to do the semester over and charge you 19,000 the very next day. The ring leader of this circus is Priscilla Greco, Madden-Nisco, Donna Woo and others. At this school they play favoritism and look forward to failing students because its a for profit school they cash in on students . Therefore they make it impossible for you to not fail that is why instead of teaching you what you need to know for exams they don't. You basically have to teach yourself and they have no library the campus is super old and the facility is gross bathrooms are always clogged and smell horrible. Avoid this school or mark my words you will regret it with your life savings. They will put you in debt and misery!!! WHILE you are taking MedSurg 2 and Leadership they throw at you 3 books and give you the protored exams back to back and they do not teach you these classes. The classes that you are teaching yourself and by luck are supposed to pass are Leadership, Community, Nutrition ..They put as much obstacles in front of you as possible so you can fail. read more

Finished my IV class with Dr. Gamble and Ms. K from VN program. It was very informative. Instructors are very patient as well.

I cannot recomend this school. The only person that ever bothered to help me was Mr. Ethan. Other staff wasn't helpful in figuring out how much I owe and Financial Aid basically was impossible to reach. Not worth it!!!! read more

I finished the LVN program June 2023, and I graduated Oct 2023. I passed my NCLEX on the first try with 85 questions. I am truly grateful to Dr. Attalla for dedicating his time to tutoring me for my exams and teaching me how to use those test strategies for NCLEX. He encouraged me and my classmates to set time aside every single day to practice 100-150 questions or more everyday, which really helped me score high on both my Exit Exams and pass NCLEX. read more

I am a graduate from 7/22. I passed my NCLEX on first try. My test shut off at 75 questions. I started school two weeks before covid hit. At first we all had to make adjustments and learn to navigate being fully online. The staff was able to make those adjustments and accommodate us as students as well. Ms Gamble, Ms Lee, Ms K/Isidro, and many other teachers were amazing. On more than one time I needed assistance from the office staff, and was able to get a timely response. Going through school during Covid had great challenges, but with the schools assistance, and the hard work I put in, I was able to make it through on honor roll for four semesters and graduate with honors. I really believe you will get out of it what you put in. Ask questions if you have them. Participate in skills as much as possible, especially during clinicals. Step up and you will rise. I did have difficulty reaching financial aid one time, this was due to a change in the staff. But I reached out to another person in the office not responsible for it, and they were very helpful and directed me to the correct staff member. read more

I called this location to inquire about their RN program. Right off the bat, the woman who answered has the most rudest tone in her voice. I asked her a few questions because I was really considering trying this school out to further my education, but she was so rude and offered no help whatsoever. If this is how you talk to prospective students, I can just imagine how you deal with current students/graduates. Would not recommend even calling this place for information. read more

Graduated In 2008 so I can only review what we had.... Great staff, hard school, you really have to study! Just do it! We started with 20 students initially and there was 6 of us left by the end of the program! I love my experiences with this school, it's not the best looking school out there, but it was the cheapest private lvn school back in 2008... i think some of the bad reviews here are from students that didn't make it... read more

I am currently a nursing student at Pacific College and I have to give major kudos to the professors and staff here, especially Professor Gerez. I have never experienced a Professor that make themself available nights/weekends to assist several students. I am traditionally not a remote learner, at all. I wanted to "throw in the towel" however, Professor Gerez motivation, flexibility, real life related stories, tutoring etc gave me the push to keep going. Professor Saites makes virtual learning as if we are actually live doing our clinical. Couldn't ask for a better duo of professors. With covid nothing is easy for anyone. It's all work workarounds and adjusting to unusual circumstances. However, they have made the very best of a very difficult learning situation. Thank you professors! :) read more
