    Lee McDonald fries alone

Went one day food was great. Went the next day the ribs taste like chili the cheese/hamburger is not real meat the french fries are McDonald's thin and taste less . As much as I tried to patronize our Afro-American food spots this is the inconsistency that we run into on a day-to-day basis up your game. yourfood blogger Reta

    Catfish dinner

Stopped and tried the catfish with fries. The fries were good but the catfish had a different taste to it but not like catfish. Eat bite was ok but the enter of the fish seamed strange, possibly over cooked. My son tried the cheese steak hoagie with fries and loved it. Would go back to try more. The owner took care of us extremely good. A really great guy.

I drive by this little place all the time and today everything was very busy, but Pryors had an empty drive through - being a large supporter of locally owned we decided to give it a shot - they should have been packed. Southern inspired Menu - Kind Prices - friendly staff - Family Owned Food was excellent and the fresh squeezed lemonade was so refreshing - perfect stop for Friday fish fry - they offer both cat fish and cod. The food is made from scratch and quicker than fast food - the only suggestion is lining the to go box so the BBQ doesn't leak - other than that A++++++++ Pryor's - thank you for the lovely meal and excellent service

Rib tip dinner with green beans and greens

Went to Pryor's on a whim because the wait was too long at the other restaurant we were going to. Called my order in and it was ready as soon as I arrived less than ten minutes later. The collard greens and green beans were literally the best I've ever eaten. I always order them when I see them on a menu and none compare to the ones I had at Pryor's. The rib tips were excellent and falling off the bone. The bbq sauce was perfect and not too sweet. My dad had the cod with Mac and cheese and potato salad and said it was great. I highly recommend you check it out!!

Catfish dinner with baked mac and coleslaw

The catfish dinner was great tonight, my two sides were coleslaw and baked mac n cheese. Absolutely delicious. The coleslaw is unique and tastes so good!! The catfish is great; I love the seasoning and batter. It was nice n crispy. And the mac and cheese was just perfect, too. Fast and friendly service from Mr. Pryor himself is a bonus!!

So she googled bbq restaurants and found this joint. It was a little off our path but worth it. This is not your typical restaurant but it does have seating indoors and out. You order at the counter then get your food and sit down. The noise level is moderate inside because it's one open space with the cooks, service counter, and line of people waiting to order or get their food. There's also music playing. The nice thing is you can sit outside at a covered picnic table if you choose. They cook the food in smokers located just outside the restaurant. The meats served are brisket, ribs, turkey, sausage, burnt ends, and pork. I choose a platter with three meats - brisket, turkey, and burnt ends. The brisket was so tender and tasty! My fav! The burnt ends were good too but a few of mine were too burnt (hard). Those that weren't were amazing. The turkey was my least favorite but it was still very good. There are many sides to choose from along with rolls or cornbread. I picked hashbrown casserole and baked beans. The casserole had a slight spicy kick to it along with some bacon! Perfect combo of potato, cheese, and bacon. The baked beans were yummy sweet. The corn bread was the least exciting thing on my plate - just not the best I've tasted and a little dry. Generous portions are given - so much I had food to take home. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend!

I found Flavorz on Facebook and seen that they have a rotating specials menu as well as a regular menu. So I followed the page and kept an eye on their rotating menu. Even though everything sounded great, I ordered on a day that Meatball subs was the special, as this is my husband's favorite type of sub. So I ordered ahead and drove over to the restaurant. When I walked in, I noticed a wall of coolers for a variety of drinks (from Faygo, Juices, pop, etc), as well as a large chalk board menu and dessert case. There is also plenty of indoor seating as well as a bright interior. I walked up to the counter and gave my name, paid and had a seat. It took a little longer than expected but between walk in ordering and phone calls, I can tell they were busy. When I got home, the sub was huge - it had 4 large meatballs on it that were perfectly cooked... it was an excellent meatball sub and my husband (picky eater) agreed. We will definitely be going back to order other specials, especially the Zuppa Tuscano (soup). Highly recommend and prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and portion.

I scoured the web for the best sounding wrap I could find and finally set my sights on Grand River Brewery. I ordered a Santa Fe wrap to-go, got there before it was even ready and was home to eat it within 5 minutes. To my dismay they had left the spicy ranch off the wrap. It was dry and unpleasant and that was an unfortunate tell of what was to come. It was accompanied by an odd tasting pickle, which particularly hurt my heart because I am a woman who loves a good pickle. This next part was especially jarring because the ambiance of the restaurant really seemed like they would have good fries, I'm sure they would be good fresh, but the ones I found inside my to-go box were not that. Sad, hard, dry fries that tasted and felt like they had been sitting out for hours. Truly disappointing. In summary, twas certainly a mistake to treat myself to this TWENTY ONE dollar meal that didn't even include a drink...21 dollars for a horrible wrap, horrible fries and a weird pickle. For that price I was really expecting the best wrap I've ever had, I could not have been more let down. My Venmo is grace-shoemaker- if you're feeling sympathetic to my experience. Thanks for tuning into my blog.

Sandwich was tasty but Extremely small portion for the price and the fries are skinny so eat them fast or they'll get cold quick. Been back 3 times. Placed a to go order on the way home from Ann Arbor and once again it did not disappoint. TW: This place bleeds money at your expense…read more This establishment needs an overhaul and warn their customers about drinking cut off rules. Our first waitress (we went an hour before shift change) was really sweet, but our last waitress informed us about the beer/drink limit for the bar. However, our previous waitress was filling our glasses nonstop and my husband wasn't driving, I was drinking Pepsi Zero. The manager shows up after requesting her, with a major attitude and a definite need of a makeover and proceeded to inform us that there was a "companywide" limit on alcohol. First of all, you're an establishment, not a company. You have all of 2 locations. (Another group of people were walking out with us, and they also had the same problem and there words exactly were "lets go get some real drinks, ones that don't cost $14 and let's go somewhere we can actually drink." WOW!) On a side note, why do you have more than 5 host/hostesses (who are all on their phones, even though they're not "supposed to be")? You need 2-3. Why do you have 30-50 waitstaff for an establishment that warrants 10 at best? Do you enjoy bleeding money? If you're looking for a job where you can stand around and do nothing all day this is the place for you. We won't be returning to any of your "company" establishments. BTW you're in Jackson, NOT Ann Arbor. ***Update*** They informed us that the waitstaff decides if someone "appears" intoxicated. Managers will back up their waitstaff at all costs, even if that includes losing business. Therefore, the second waitress stated to the manager that he "appeared" intoxicated due to the number of beverages he had consumed, yet she was unable to provide any evidentiary support as to what "he appeared intoxicated" means. In other words, this is discriminatory nature of practice based solely on the number of alcoholic beverages you've consumed. BTW if you want a really good dinner go to Burger King down the street. Their food is better!
