While I have never used this service, based on the disrespect they showed my yard next door to the home they serviced, I never would. I was home alone and could hear banging and lifted my blinds to find several of PRV tree service workers in my yard. I was completely shocked. There were men on my shed, in my back yard and on my fence in the middle of jumping. All of them had jumped the fence to get there. I yelled, and told them to get out of my yard! They STAYED!!! I don't even know why they were there because not a single person came to knock on our door. We had two cars in the drive way and four people in the house. There was no knock, no doorbell, no shout over the fence. PRV why would you risk your employees safety that way? How dangerous it can be to break and enter into someone's yard. Which they HAD to do to go through our gate and lock. I have dogs. I have kids. That was entirely to invasive and I do not appreciate it. I tried to speak to your employees and they ignored me. I spoke in the only two languages I know, English and Spanish, to which they completely ignored. The one man they called the "boss" refused to speak to me and instead spoke on the phone with you. Asking if he could still just enter my yard. This is poorly executed service. You left a huge mess in my yard PRV Tree service. You may schedule with me to come clean it up. I'm beyond impressed with PRV Tree Service. HOA had an issue with some of my trees. PRV rep came out, gave me a quote for everything I wanted to do at a very reasonable price and arranged to have the work done well ahead of the deadline the HOA gave me. The guys went above and beyond doing the work, cleaned up meticulously when they were done and walked the property with me to make sure everything had been done right. They continue to ignore my no soliciting sign, and even when requested to stop leaving trash on my property they completely ignored the request and have left fliers on multiple occasions. They ruined mine and my neighbor's trees. Crew did not understand the English, so was hard to communicate, they would just node the head. I pointed at the specific branches I wanted to be removed, at specific height, and the team took out randomly and went few feet higher on the tree than I said I wanted. I asked to remove my neighbor's tree branches just above the fence line, team wet ahead and removed the BIG branch of my neighbor's tree which is now ~15 feet inside from my fence, which made my neighbor very mad. All of my shade for the summer is gone, and ruined my relations with neighbor. Very Disappointing! read more

I just asked for a refund for a job that was not complete . Out of the $162.37, I am getting back approximately $54. I called for an estimate, somebody came out said they can remove my trunk , I get a knock at the door a few weeks later and was told okay the trunk was removed , I'm having a tree put in today, lo and behold the trunk is still there. I called prv and requested a refund . Rosa said she can only give me a partial because they came out to the property. Even though they did not finish the job that I paid them for they will not honor the quote and work they promised me . I was also told that if I would have told them sooner they would have come out and grounded down some more , what that has to do with the trunk still being there today I do not know. We had PRV come out late last year to trim our 30 trees for the winter and they did a great job. No amount of trimming could have prevented the trees from sustaining the damage they did with the recent ice storm. PRV came back out today to remove the fallen and hanging limbs/branches and remove all brush. All cut and split limbs were treated. They took all limbs on the curb and cleaned up leaves and twigs as well. We are extremely pleased with their service and would highly recommend them. read more

Came out and offered a reasonable price for trimming my storm-damaged tree. They went above and beyond, doing both the work I asked for as well as a little extra needed pruning. They then cleaned, raked, and even used a blower to get the yard better than it looked. More than that, they also took away the brush already piled curbside! March 2018 EDIT: I've since noticed that a fireplace vent cover was left broken and completely open. Apparently their crew wasn't very careful when dragging out the pieces (as you can see in the pic) by the long scratch marks in the red brick along the side of my house. I'm bothered that not one person said anything and as a matter of fact probably threw away the cover since its nowhere to be found. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Our neighbors hired them to trim a overhanging oak tree and so we decided to give them a call. A couple hackberry trees in our backyard were starting to give us problems. A particularly large one had already split in two and one half was precariously positioned right above our fence and neighbors shed. I told PRV about the situation but Pedro assured us that it wouldn't be a problem and that they'd be extra careful not to damage anything. He gave us a fair estimate for 2 tree's removed to the stump as well as clear out all the leaves and vines from our backyard. All in all, they were punctual and professional. Last summer, I found an ad in my door about their service, and held onto it since I usually have my trimming done around Christmas. Then came the big ice storm after Christmas. After waiting 2 months and one rain delay, they finally made it out to clean up the limbs I couldn't reach myself. I can understand that they were backlogged from the storm, but 1 month just to come give the estimate and another month before they could do the work? By the time they made it out, everything was in spring bloom. Of course, it was partly my fault, since I should have had them come do the routine trimming before Christmas. Anyway, thanks to the storm I saw one big oak limb that I thought was plenty far from the powerline, but when the ice weighed it down was laying right on it. That was probably the biggest amount of work to remove it, since it was a good 6-8" thick. Rosa also suggested some other clean up, just to maintain the shape of the trees. I also had them clean my gutters. They don't have equipment to clear downspouts, but fortunately it turned out mine weren't clogged (I ended up ordering one of those extendable gutter cleaning nozzles after they left). Gutters were clear. I thought their quote was a little high, but after the coupon from the flyer, it ended up about where I thought it should be, BTW, their crew understands very little English, so make sure Rosa will be there if you're not bilingual. read more

You hired some young girl to walk door to door to hand out fliers. She did so, and proceeded to ring the doorbell that is mounted right next to a NO SOLICITING sign on my house. The sign isn't up for my health. I have a reactive dog and it's there so she doesn't hurt herself when I'm not home. Think about the people you hire and what you instruct them to do. We have multiple live oak trees that needed trimming, thinning and canopies raised on our Hill Country property. PRV gave us a solid quote and scheduled two weeks out. The Freeze in the Hill Country and the Houston area prevented us from being able to make the original date, so PRV rescheduled in a timely manner. The quote included two four men teams, brush chipper and the pulling out and trimming of very established Yuccas. Everything was completed and cleaned up and PRV even discounted as we elected to stop some of the work. The PRV team includes an Arborist responsible for the quotes, a Supervisor that comes out the day of to make sure workers know what to do. Pedro the owner came out to give the estimate and personally came out to oversee the project as it was being done. In addition to the trees they offer several value added services including trimming all bushes, mulching the flower beds, cleaning out the gutters and hauling off a pallet and other trash. All for less than many other wanted just to do the trees. They also made sure that the trees were 10 feet from the house and make clearance for shed. As a final touch they raked up all the leaves. great bid for the work requested. put down a deposit of just under half the bid and a crew of 4 came out on the day and time promised and pruned a large oak tree and four crepe myrtles. they spent over three hours here, cleaned up and used a blower to get what they missed (and picked that up too). they constantly checked to make sure we were satisfied and to see if we wanted more taken off the tree. paid the balance with no hidden fees or up charges. very satisfied. will definitely use this company again when we need more trimming done. will also refer others when asked about tree service. great job!! read more

We are having a pool put in and needed a few trees removed and the others trimmed. Our timeline was tight but PRV rearranged their schedule to fit us in on a Saturday before the pool diggers are scheduled. They came with a team of 6 and they were all friendly, professional and fast moving. One of our dead trees was very tall...we were in awe of the skill as we watched a man climb the tree, hold the chainsaw with one hand and carefully cut down branch by branch.
