I had an odd problem with my car - he said he diagnosed it and $800 later, he never bothered to check that it was fixed. I would never take a car to him unless you know what's wrong. So yes I got $800 worth of repairs that didn't need to immediately be done in an old car. Also said he'd repair my headlight out and didn't bother after he said he'd do it. I took my car in today to take care of an oil leak and the guys at Prum's Auto Repair took really good care of my car. They were all super nice, helped me understand what I was paying for and my car needed and also advised me on a couple other things I wouldn't have known about. The experience I had with Prum's Auto Repair gave me the trust that I needed to make this a spot that I will go back to in the future. I initially took my car to the dealer for an inspection because I wanted a Nissan specialist to give me the run down of what was causing my leak. Apparently I had a few different leaks and they quoted me for an astronomical quote. So to get a second opinion, I googled Nissan mechanics and this location caught my attention based on proximity to my home, number of reviews and that it wasn't a dealership. I Don't recommend this place. I paid prum up front for the estimated repairs on my vehicle but instead of for filling his duties as a prominent and certified mechanic he totally dropped the ball. If I could give him a zero star instead, and he was recommended by someone who does business with him also. I would recommend this shop to anybody I know PRUM is respectful,responsible, and reasonable. In my past experiences with mechanics I have been took advantage of and over charge. PRUM has don't none of that he makes a reasonable price and does the work with 100% efficiencies I have gotten three jobs in total here done. PRUM's take pride in the work they do for example I came in there to get my pulley change and replaced and he noticed I was low on oil and he topped my oil off FOR FREE. I had a huge emergency my brakes went out and the rotors were grinding metal shavings. I pulled up to a nearby auto shop and they agreed to do the job. 1 hr later the shop calls me and say they have to do it another day. I took my car back and stumbled across Prums Auto. I took my 2012 BMW there because my lights were malfunctioning and my drivers door would not lock with the remote he took all day with my car and when i finlly talked to him he said i needed a new battery and new headlights and he said he fixed the door lock and put the battery in and he said he needed to put in all the right codes because whwn the battery was changed it put my car in transpertaion mode he said in two days when he had the new headlights bulbs he would get it out of transportation mode, well i took the car back and then he told me i needed to fo tto pick-a-part and get a rear tale light cercite boared and i told him that was never mentioned when i came and pick my car up , he ended up taking off $90.00 for the headlight so i ended up paying $250.00 for a battery and #162.00 for labor and he refused to finish the job and take it out of transportation mode which it was only in that mode because he got it in that mode when he changed the battery . read more

Sometimes crappy circumstances yield you with unexpected gold. My car was overheating, and...it wasn't good news. The mobile mechanic who helped me at first (and had the patience of a saint) fowarded me to Prum's to help me with what turned out to be a blown head gasket. Prum's explained everything, and they advised replacing the engine, as they uncovered evidence of some former botched repairs. It only took a few days...the car drives better than when I got it, better mileage...and it was delivered washed. These guys are truly partners for car ownership...and consult options, and walk you through everything. i can't say enough good stuff, as I've had some really, really, really, really dishonest and crappy mechanic relationships.
