I would leave them 0 stars if possible. They were sent by AHS warranty company for a stoppage in the pipes. The first team, Micheal and another man, told my husband that they didn't want to "waste their time" snaking the drain refused to do anything until we had the septic tank pumped because according to their "professional opinion" it was full. $700 later a septic company pumped the NOT FULL tank but to get them to fix the clog we had to prove it was emptied. We recalled PP out to fix the problem. It took multiple days of calling every hour to reach anyone. finally they came out and snaked the washing machine and a shower and said that they only had a short snake and to call back if it didn't work. Within 5 minutes of them leaving we had backup in the shower again and we called all day with no results. Finally reached them and reset to come out on a Saturday morning. They did not show and did not call. I called until Wed evening when I FINALLY reached them to reschedule. Turns out- it appears they busted the pipe under the house when they "snaked" it. And we now have a busted pipe to repair. They still have not called me back. read more

We were assigned Proven Professional by our home warranty company for a water line repair. Or rather we were told we were, as the four hour window stated for the business to contact us passed without a single phone call. After reaching out to the warranty company, we were assured PP would contact us within 24 hours. Guess what didn't happen? No contact came from them at any point over the three days my home was without water. My husband and I both called the number on their website several times over several days, and all we got was voice-mail. None of our messages were ever returned. So much for the promise of 24 hour emergency service posted on their website! We definitely won't be bothering them with any business in the future. read more

This company came to me through America Home Shield. A drain in the kitchen was stubbornly clogged. They came out to the house four times. They tried everything and finally said I would need pipes replaced below the house. They told AHS that this basic plumbing was an enhancement so AHS would do it But low and behold, they could do it for $2300. I passed and quit AHS. I got another plumber who identified the problem quickly and fixed it for under $500 total. It's still working fine to this day. But there is no honest reason for the price difference, the time wasted, or AHS refusing to pay Buyer beware. And that goes for AHS as well. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. If there was an option to give less than one star I would do so. This company was assigned by our warranty company, AHS ( avoid this company as well), for replacement of our hot water heater. After making the initial service request it took the maintenance technician nearly two days to come our house and diagnose the issue. After the initial diagnosis, it took another two days to receive an estimate for out of pocket cost. Once we accepted the charges (on a Thursday), we were informed that the replacement would not be able to be completed until the following Tuesday. The hot water heater was replaced and less than 24 hours after installation quit working. A service technician come out again and notified us that the gas control unit on the water heater was bad and would need replaced. Once again, we were told that it would be another two days before the service could be completed. And just today the company notified me that they do not have the necessary parts and it would be another five days before they can make the repairs. So here I sit nearly two weeks without hot water in my house. If you are reading this review do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE PROVEN PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION SERVICES!!!!!! read more

Zero star. This company was assigned to plumbing issue at my home as I reported it to American Home Shield Home Warranty. Without diagnosing the issue they quoted me $480 to replace the Main water shut off valve (which was not even the problem). I googled the issue and found that the problem was with the bad flapper in toilet tank. Fixed it myself for under $5. This company is un-professional and un-ethical. read more

From the moment William arrived, he complained about the job and told me he was not here to replace any pipes. He then went on to use profanity, went a little in my crawl space, complained and used more profanity, then told me he was not going to fix it. We used this company as a third party contracted through our warranty company. They sent someone to do work on our hot water heater which had a pipe leaking. They never checked for a PRV despite our pressure reading high and just replaced our heater. A month later we had the same problem, so they came back and searched for a PRV and said we didn't have one. The next day we had another guy come out from a different firm who found our PRV in a matter of 5 minutes. Upon contacting this company again to discuss the error, the supervisor was basically reading from a script and refused to be of any help. This company is not worth working with because they will continually give you the run around, and clearly do not employ knowledgeable technicians. read more

I worked with Proven Professional Construction Service through my HSA warranty. They arrived within the appointment window (and completed the service too!) Jerel quickly diagnosed that it wasn't the toilet that was causing problems, but the water pressure. He worked with the HSA for approval and replaced the part for the water pressure and part in the toilet. This was all done within the appointment window so I was able to get back to work quickly. American Home Shield (AHS) scheduled our repair with Proven Professional Construction. The technician filed a false report to AHS so that AHS will not cover the suggested repair in the hope that we would get their service. They are not honest, overpriced and would certainly avoid this company. They don't even deserve the one star! read more

American Home Shield dispatched them to come out and verify our water heater was broken so they could authorize replacement. Proven Processionals confirmed a new water heater was needed and then told AHS we needed to pay $1110.04 to bring the new installation "up to code". This is a totally fraudulent claim. We then had 3 local 5 star rated plumbers all agree this is simply a water heater swap needed. The only reason I am providing a single star is because I have to provide one in order to leave a review. I scheduled an appointment for today THREE days ago. They advised the appointment would be between 8a-12p. The technician, Chris, did not arrive until 12:30pm and that was only AFTER I called inquiring on his whereabouts. He then told me to LIE and say there were elderly people in the home and that I have a disabled person in the home to expedite my service because he could see the heater had busted. Though there is in fact a disabled person in my home him instructing me to exaggerate the situation was unprofessional. He further instructed me to call my warranty company and ask for a payout because "money talks" and they would write me a check and I could purchase my own heater and pay HIM to come and do the work for me. I expressed my frustration and called the office on numerous occasions with no answer. Once I finally spoke with someone they advised I would have to wait until my warranty company authorized them to bring out the new heater. I advised the employee that I'd spoken to my company already and they were approving but I desperately needed someone to come out because I'd waited all day with no call or mention of the delay and missed an entire day or work between the wait and the back and forth calls. I also asked if she could schedule me for an appointment for tomorrow morning seeing as Chris already guaranteed there were heaters of my kind available. She placed me on hold and when she returned said that I needed to call my warranty company per their conversation. When I spoke to my company, all of a sudden the heater that Chris suggested busted because of normal wear was submitted with a diagnostic of excessive pressure. We have NEVER touched our water pressure and have lived in our home for several years. I truly believe that they gave a bad diagnostic because i was so frustrated with their piss poor service and or Chris tampered with it because we wouldn't agree to his back alley side gig requests! Ny the way he never touched my water faucet and my water is on city line to the entire city of Raleigh likely has high water pressure by their standards. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I used this company as a third party through my warranty company. They came out and accessed the cost of replacing my hot water heater which the water heater and labor were covered at 100%. I received a call from my warranty company later that day telling me that my portion of the quote would be over 800.00. I was not given a quote at the time of the service call so I immediately called Proven Professionals to inquire what the additional cost was for and requested a written quote. I was still not convinced that my portion should be 800.00 so I had another company come out to give me a quote without the knowledge that I had a warranty company. The quote I received was for at little over 1000.00. That included the water heater labor and any additional incidentals, remember in the 800.00 obligation the water heater and labor were paid for and the 800.00 was what was left after. I called the warranty company to let them know and to see if I could go with the company who was obviously not adding additional work to recoup their loss on the warranty work. Long story short Proven Professionals is contracted by the warranty company so it was a no go. I did although get 100.00 knocked off of my original obligation because I told them I would remove the crawl space door so that the water heater would have clearance. That's right a 100.00 to remove a 6 screw door. Forced into using this company I reluctantly paid the first half of my obligated cost with the understanding the second half would be due at the time of installation. My installation date was set for a Monday and the Saturday before I got a call that my daughter had gone into early labor so I headed out of town. I called Proven Professionals Saturday morning and left a message on their answering system to let them know my circumstance and to cancel my install until I returned. Monday morning I receive a text that the technician is on the way, so I immediately called to inquire. I was told that their answering machine takes messages but is broke so they can't listen to them. So she hangs up to call the tech to let him know not to do the install. I get a call back that the tech was almost done with the install. I ask how his he installing when no one is home, I didn't get a concrete answer. Fast forward a week to when I return. I call multiple times to pay the remaining balance and the phone just rings and goes silent. I try to call for several days with the same issue. I then receive an email alerting me that there is a balance due so In a reply email I explain I have been trying to call and get no response. I guess their email and answering machine are related because they both seem to suffer from the same affliction. Fast forward another few days and I get an email threatening to take legal action if the balance is not paid. Are you kidding me??!!! Side note it hasn't even been 14 days since they installed a water heater I requested not to be installed. This whole situation is so absurd I can't help but just chuckle. NEVER AGAIN will I ever use this company and because of this incident I cancelled my home warranty protection also. read more

Zero stars too. They were dispatched from my warranty company for my water heater. The tech came to my home looked at it and took some pictures and said it needed to be replaced. He said warranty co would be contacting me within 24hrs for next steps. This was Thurs. On Monday I called warranty Co for status and they haven't heard from Contractor yet. On Tues warranty company called me saying the contractor contacted them and said that the Warranty co would cover for new water heater, but i would have to pay contractor +$1000 to bring enclosure up to code among other things. I asked for more details but warranty co said contractor didn't give more details and said it could try to contact contractor myself. Which I did, I called on May21 and left voice message with all my contact info. No one called me back. I ended up getting my own contractor to get the job done and it cost $700 less than what Proven Professional quoted. On May31 st i get an email asking if i want to continue with replacing the water heater. I would not recommend they at all. read more
