Ben doesn't care about this company as he doesn't even live in Illinos five star cleaning my ass the cleaning products they use are vinegar and water which leaves a horrible smell and doesn't clean vacuum cleaner could not pick up a feather let alone any dirt that may be on the floor. ProTidy has been coming to the house for a good number of years. The team members are reliable and through. They leave the house near pristine and over the years have not minded dog hair from three Golden Retrievers or the current two rescues. Ben and Kathy are a pleasure to work with and they work hard at hoping your satisfied with their employees work. If there is an issue they are quick to respond. And, I get it that nobody is 100% all the time, but 97-99% is great to me. For an exaggerated example; if ProTidy has vacuumed the entire house and I find a couple dog hairs, I accept that. I have used this service for the past 3 years and during that time have had 4 or 5 different girls come by. Kathy usually sends the same staff and for a long time that was the case but I do not use a regular schedule and typically request a cleaning with very short lead-time. They are also accommodating to my hectic schedule and each staff member has left my home in the same condition (with one exception but she is longer employed there). I've tried a few different cleaning services over the years and not been too impressed with them. Generally you get different people out to the house each time, and it isn't always the case that they are easy to communicate with. Because of this, I find myself having to re-explain all the details about how I like the house cleaned, and be unable to leave the house while they are there since I haven't gotten to know that particular cleaner / cleaning crew well enough to build up a trusted relationship. That all changed when I started using Pro Tidy. Although I can't vouch for all of their employees, the person who they assigned to do my house does *SUCH* a good job, I can't even believe it sometimes. The house always looks / smells great after she leaves, and she is able to get to all parts of my relatively large house in the 3 hours she is there. She must work extremely hard to do that. She follows all the instructions I've given her about cleaning the house, and I have no issue leaving while she is there if needed as I know her well and am able to trust her at the house alone. I've got 3 teenage kids that spend half their time with me. The last time they left their rooms were disasters, looking like a tornado ripped through- beds unmade, trash on the ground, clothes everywhere, desks covered with who knows what, etc. I went in there to straighten up ahead of them coming back to stay with me - but our house cleaner had already been in the rooms and they looked like I always wish they would if only my teens were better at cleaning up after themselves! It got our current visit with them off to a great start, and hopefully they'll keep their rooms in better shape given such a nice start. I've never had any trouble contacting Pro Tidy (although I haven't really needed to all that much), as has been mentioned in other reviews here on Yelp. In conclusion, I am super happy with having chosen Pro Tidy as my cleaning service provider. The employee they assigned us is always on time, dressed appropriately, and gets straight to work. She is ready, willing and able to do specific types of cleaning that may be needed at any specific time, other than the usual. She has cleaned our oven, windows, and more - I think she might even do laundry if we asked! Pro Tidy has reasonable priced cleaning options - so if you are tired of the ongoing game of trying to keep up with all the house cleaning, give them a call and let them help you out! It is so nice to have a good chunk of that time back to use for other things. Their scheduling is a mess which was mentioned in some previous reviews that mysteriously don't show up anymore. They don't come when they say they will and the worst part is the same cloth they used to clean the bathroom floor was used to dust the bedroom furniture. When I called the girl out on it, she denied it but then quickly ran to the car to get a new rag. So disgusting. Never used them again after that. In response to Kathy, I now live in the NW suburbs not Chicago and it was your company. Speak to your husband Ben, he is the one who handled the situation and refunded my money which is fair considering I had to reclean my whole house again. Having young kids I could not take any chances. He also is the one who scheduled incorrectly. read more

I'm SOOOO glad I checked Yelp to find a house-cleaning service. Yaya. I'm very very impressed with Kathy's company. I've had all kinds of experiences with cleaning companies, and I had one "local" person in my neighborhood offer to clean my condo for more than double what Kathy is charging. She offers well trained, efficient, bonded cleaning people and the ability to auto-deduct your payment from a checking account- very convenient to not have to remember to leave a check. I guess the economy has turned enough that small businesses are so busy and pass on jobs. Of all the work that I've had to have done in preparing two condo's for market, the cleaning service providers were the least responsive. I called a total of 6 cleaning services and only one called back (see my reviews for this company that I did end up using). Three cleaners that I called back again, answered this time and told me they didn't service the my town (near Lincolnshire) in the NW suburbs. This was a very solid experience. A real person (Ben) answered the phone when I called, was patient with the chaos of my morning, answered all my questions, and helped me take advantage of a cancellation so I didn't have to wait a week to schedule a cleaning. In a nutshell, I was moving into a new place and I wanted everything to get a good once over...I wanted to know it was clean and I just didn't have the time. Paul led a crew of three (I don't know the names of the women who were with him I'm sorry) and they were all professional, conversational, and effective. I did an initial walk-through and a final walk-through and I knew right when I walked in that they made a difference. In particular, there was sticky buildup on the kitchen cabinet and oven exterior, and they scrubbed the hell out of both. The kitchen in shiny, the baseboard and trim are clean, and the bathrooms are great. It's an older home and some things will always show their age, but ProTidy did a great job of sprucing it up and making me feel better about moving in. Oh, and the quote process with Ben was transparent and simple. He gave me time estimate, explained how he was quoting everything (and why) and walked me through it all. Nice work, ProTidy! read more

From then on, we went through a few different girls who had no eye for detail, e.g. cobwebs left in ceiling corners, spilled salt left on the kitchen table, not removing a rubber mat in the kitchen before cleaning the sink. To say they did a half-ass'd job would be giving them way to much credit. The best description of their work I can give is,,,,a friend dropped by the very next day, and after walking around for a few minutes she asked "when are the cleaning people coming" when we said they had been here and finished, our friend kind of hung her head and said I'm sorry,,,I didn't mean,,,,,,,,,,,,... We told her it wasn't her fault and agreed it was a pathetically sad job, and we did feel ripped off. And worse now had to start all over as not one room or area was completed making it impossible to know what they may have actually touched or not. I have asthma, I'm smell sensitive, and I didn't detect the smell of one cleaning product anywhere in the house. To list the details of the filth we found after they left would take pages, literally pages. My wife took photo's but we destroyed them as this isn't really what we wish to remember about this move Their system is interesting,, like the inmates running the asylum, the cleaning people they send to your house are their own supervisors And this is basically how they operate, if YOU don't like the work, then YOU are wrong because there supervisor reported a finished job that was done right. They in there God-like attitude will defend that position to the bitter end. No matter what! Your opinion doesn't count In closing I want to make it clear I paid my bill in full but NOT for cleaning, I paid to get them off my back, their extortion-like tactics will haunt you forever. P.S. I would like to let people know what great service I received today. I had flooring installed and the installer didn't do anything to control the dust he even used the saw in the house. We are moving in tomorrow morning and I have lung problems . Had no idea what to do. Then I sent an SOS email last night to ProTidy explaining. I received a call and email in the am. And had girls there by 9 am. I had 10 windows with wooden blinds full of dust as well as everything in the house.... They did a wonderful job and saved the day for me. I'm so grateful. I used them a year ago in 2012.The cleaning was ok, but the ladies complained that they didn't know how big my house was & how they didn't allot that much time to do a deep cleaning. It was frustrating that they rushed through for $250! I called again the end of Nov '13 to make a cleaning appointment. I left voicemails & sent two emails to Kathy. I didn't get any calls back. I called again a few days later & got ahold of her husband/ partner. He told me they were really busy so sorry Kathy didn't get back to me. We had over a ten minute call & I told him I needed them specifically on Dec 20th bc we were having a party with 70 people on Dec 21st, 2013. He said no problem bc they had extra staff for the Holidays. I didn't get a confirmation call on Dec 19th about what time they were coming the next day to clean. I called & left 2 messages asking what time they were coming. Kathy's husband called me back & said I didn't have a cleaning scheduled the next day. I reminded him about my party & our conversation. He forgot to enter it into the system! He said if I wanted a deep cleaning like last time, it wouldn't be $250 (like I paid last time), we would have to pay his staff Time & a Half!! It would be $375 for 3 hours!!!! My house isn't That big- seriously!! Save yourself time, aggregation & Money! Call around- you can find someone who would probably be more reliable & for less $! I have to say, I have never been so disappointed in a cleaning service. I scheduled biweekly service and every time they were scheduled to clean, a problem would come up. The maids were either late, sick, had personal emergencies, or would leave early without getting everything completed. When I would call Ben to express my concerns, he typically wouldn't address it or even respond until days later. I would usually have to follow up several times and even then, there was never a backup plan or an apology. Ben has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. This is the most unreliable service I have ever used. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Please keep in mind, if your maid can't make it, your home will not get cleaned. This happened to me once again today, my maid had another "personal emergency" and there wasn't enough staff to come and clean my home. It was very frustrating. Although Ben and Kathy were wonderful to work with, responsive and accommodating, the crew that completed my deep cleaning, move-in service did a very inadequate job. While they were here quite a few hours, I never smelled a hint of cleanser. And after they left, I realized how dirty the house still was -- floors, light fixtures, bathrooms, inside cabinets, drawers and appliances, blinds (for which I paid extra), etc.. NOTHING was clean. Perhaps they may have touched on everything, but they were not nearly thorough or meticulous enough for me and for what I was charged (nearly $500!). I have had to re-clean MANY things myself and will need to bring in my regular cleaning lady to clean floors, bathrooms, etc.. Perhaps I just didn't get the 'A' crew and other crews are much more fastidious, but this was a completely disappointing experience.
