This was one of the most frustrating insurance experiences I have ever had. Kris Jackson at ProStar provided incorrect information and showed a complete lack of ownership during an already stressful situation. I was told my assigned agent was out of office for the holiday and that nothing could be done. However, that agent's voicemail clearly stated to press 1 to be connected to another agent, which I did. The alternate agent immediately confirmed that what Kris told me was incorrect. From there, I was forced to do the work myself. I personally called the policy department to remove our totaled vehicle from the policy. The representative I spoke with even stated that this was the agent's responsibility, but since it was not being handled, they would take care of it for me. That should never happen. When you are dealing with a total loss, you should not have to fact check your agent, chase down departments, and resolve issues on your own. I do not recommend ProStar if you are involved in an accident. Be prepared to handle everything yourself, because this office will not proactively help you. I dropped ProStar immediately after this experience. For comparison, I switched to Robert Pfarr at Allstate and the difference is night and day in terms of customer care, responsiveness, and knowledge. His team has been wonderful. I would not recommend ProStar to anyone, even as a last resort. read more

Anthony Schulz in particular is absolutely worthless and if I were Prostar Insurance, I would have this man fired immediately! I am a real estate investor and own properties across multiple states. I deal with dozens of insurance companies and this place takes the cake. This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with by far lol. I am absolutely flabbergasted that this place has as many 5 star reviews as it does. Anthony doesn't answer calls, doesn't reach out to lenders to get escrow insurance payments, doesn't return calls, takes days if not weeks to respond to emails, tells me that he can't get payment from my lender but tells me we have time because Safeco isn't cancelling policies because of the fires, then lets my policies cancel, doesn't tell me anything, doesn't inform me of the cancellations, doesn't let me know it's pending cancellation, then I start getting collection agencies calling me from Safeco. This is absolutely unacceptable for clients!! Anthony has wasted my time and money and continues to do so. Stay away from this place! You have been warned!! read more

- Waste of time - We were trying to see if there are other insurance companies that can give us a better rate, so I contacted prostar and got hooked up with an agent. After 2 calls to try to connect with her, I gave her the information on our current home/auto insurance. Then several days later she texted me and told me that she needs my hubby's license number and his SSN. To be honest, I wasn't comfortable already because the other insurance brokers that I worked with a couple days ago didn't ask for any of those. I gave her those information, but she still couldn't pull anything from the system and she asked me to get a picture of his license. At this point, I was just like.. forget it. It's a waste of time, and I won't give out her name here. But honestly, if other companies can pull his information without his license number and SSN, shouldn't this company be able to do that as well? I dunno, upgrade your system or something...it's just such a waste of time!!! read more

Found these folks through Dave Ramsey's ELP (Endorsed Local Providers) program. Always professional and great service. I now have Home, Auto, and Umbrella policies through their excellent brokerage and they review the coverage to see if they can save me more money yearly. They beat all the insurance policies I had in place before finding them. I had several questions about various options and they did a great job of comparing them and giving me competing quotes so I could make the best choices. read more

John Pfeil was slow to respond to emails, and when he did respond it was clear that he had made no effort to read my messages or understand my insurance needs. I had to email him the make, model, and vin numbers of my cars numerous times. After that he still tried to sell me a product I had expressed a strong dislike for. In addition to not purchasing insurance through Prostar Insurance, I reported the experience to Dave Ramsy's ELP program. I felt this was important as a big part of the program is that ELPs are suppose to take a keen interest in your personal needs, and not just sell you something you don't need or want. In other words, by choosing an ELP, I was expecting exactly the opposite of what I got from Prostar Insurance. Update: Eric Johnson of Prostar Insurance, upon reading about my bad experience with Prostar Insurance reached out to me in a hart felt attempt make things right... "This misrepresentation will not be taken lightly. Please respond with how you plan resolving your written defamation immediately." -Eric Johnson, Prostar Insurance. Great public relations and customer service skills there Eric!!! To be fair, I checked my records and confirmed that I had the name of the agent I was dealing with wrong. This was an over site on my part and I have corrected it above. I had originally attempted to contact Eric Johnson, but my inquiry had some how ended up with John Pfeil. It was John Pfeil who was slow to respond to emails he seemed to not read. Eric did not respond to my emails. I hope that clears up any misrepresentation. read more

I have been using Prostar for about 2 years, I usually always had my questions answers promptly and I felt like they always got me the best rate, until this last month! I asked Anthony to see if I could get a better rate switching to another company, he was helpful and found a great rate, he got all the paperwork together emailed it to me to sign and I thought everything was good. That was October 13th, I always pay on autopay and I noticed that on November 13th my payment wasn't pulled, my husband and I decided to call progressive and ask when our due date was because we just thought it hadn't come up yet, they informed us that we have not had any coverage for the whole month!!!! That our broker gave them a incorrect account number and the 1st payment was never made, granted I should of looked closer at my account but I really have never had a problem and I even have a receipt from Prostar stating I paid and had coverage from October 13-November 13. No one called, sent any letters, or even a email, my husband and I drove around for a month without coverage on two financed vehicles. I emailed Anthony right as soon as we found this info out and they have yet to contact me, guess they don't care anymore since I had to go get coverage that night through another company. I am now paying More then I was before but at least I know I have coverage, I would highly recommend using another company, the way they are just plain ignoring a long term good paying customer is ridiculous! read more

At no fault of Prostar, I had a horrible experience with my current insurance company. I had submitted a claim for some water damage to my apartment, the gentleman I was working with mis represented what was covered, and after a few months of working with him turns out I was not covered and would not be getting money for my claim. I was told he was fired, but there was nothing they could do for me. I contacted Anthony at Prostar about the situation and that I wanted to switch insurance companies, he contacted my insurance company right away and I did receive my claim money after all.
