    Ford F-150 King Ranch
    Paul S.

I recently purchased a 2025 Ford F-150 King Ranch Hybrid from Prosper Ford. Kyle and the sales team delivered a stress free, professional level of service that exceeded my experience at other area car dealerships. Kyle took the time to go over all the key features of this truck. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured, and this made all the difference. Curtis, the finance manager, kept everything transparent. There were no surprise fees, just an honest vehicle financing process. If you are in the market for a Ford truck, I highly recommend giving Prosper Ford a visit. My new F-150 is everything I hoped it would be - and the experience of getting it was just as satisfying.

NEVER TAKE ANYTHING THEY SAY AS THE TRUTH ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MAKING MONEY EVEN IF THAT SCREWS THEIR CUSTOMERS OVER! I took my 2014 Ford Focus to Prosper Ford as my check engine light came on as well as it was intermittently not wanting to start or shift into a gear. The code came back with P0805 clutch position circuit. They took a few days to look at it and came back saying I needed a new clutch & forks and that it would be $4500. I was shocked as I just purchased this car and didn't want to put that kind of money into this car. I asked them how they concluded that I need a new clutch & forks. They said they did multiple tests and that they took off the actuators and swapped the top one with the bottom one. And blah blah blah. I declined the repairs. I took it home and started doing research. From the research I found out that it might just be the clutch actuators. I also found a video on how to check the forks to see if they are moving freely. I got under the hood and started working. I took off the top and bottom actuators and I could tell these parts have never been taking off. I then check the forks to make sure they are moving freely and no problems. They move freely and perfectly. I then put the new actuators on top and bottom and hook everything back up. Turn the car on it starts right up no problems and then I put in drive no problem, reverse no problem and then I continue to drive around the block, seconds into my drive the check engine light turns off and all codes go away. I continue to drive get on the tollway get to higher speeds and go plenty of miles. Still nothing it is driving perfect if not better than before the check engine light came on. I was so happy! So long story short is you can't trust anything anyone says even the Ford Dealership. They said they ran multiple tests and swapped actuators and checked the forks and blah blah blah. LIES! LIES! LIES! All they did was check the code look in their book and say this is what needed done they did no test to see what the actual cause of the problem was. By the way they were trying to charge me $200 plus saying this was their diagnostic fee. I got them to waive this fee. So, they charge $200 plus to just check the code and read a book and put some generic mumbo jumbo crap down. They almost got me on the hook for $4500 to fix something that wasn't even wrong with the car. Good thing I did some research. To wrap this up, I leave you with this. BEWARE! Trust nothing anyone tells you even the head service guy at a Ford Dealership and do your own research. I will never go back to Prosper Ford or yet alone any dealership (unless I have a car that is under warranty). I recommend if you do make sure you do some research and maybe get a second opinion or investigate it yourself. NEVER TAKE ANYTHING THEY SAY AS THE TRUTH ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MAKING MONEY EVEN IF THAT SCREWS THEIR CUSTOMERS OVER!

If I had to give one word of my experience I would use deceptive. I changed my plans to drive from Bentonville, AR to Prosper Ford, instead of driving to Tulsa, Ok. I did this to save 2k and get a one year newer vehicle but I regret it. Deception 1. I was told I could write a personal check. I asked to fill out a credit application without a pull of credit, to verify my identity. That was a lie. I was then told hard credit would be pulled and I would need to do a loan to leave with car but if I was to pay the car off before the first billing I wouldn't be charged any interest. Another lie. The bank won't process the loan for 7 business day, therefore I will be charged at least 7 days of interest. Hopefully a small amount but I was told multiple times that I wasn't going to have to pay anything in interest. Deception 2. I received a list of things the service department supposedly did, including checking the coolant levels. I questioned this because the coolant level was very low. I thought either they were lying to me about the coolant check and/or they are incompetent as a service department, or there is a problem with the coolant system. I had an agreement they would fix or buy the car if there was a coolant issue discovered within a week of purchase. There doesn't seem to be an issue but I had to take time out of my schedule to take it to my local Toyota dealership to verify. It seems to me they lied to me and/or have a incompetent service department. Deception 3. It was a very short test drive. I should of pushed back when they told me the drive was going to be short. Felt like 5 mins. I wasn't allowed to take it onto an interstate, and I was only able to accelerate to 60mph for a few seconds on a service road before having to apply the breaks. After the purchase, I discovered a very loud wind noise from the passenger side when driven on interstate over 65 mph. I didn't and wouldn't have discovered that very noticeable issue during the test drive. This makes me wonder if the minor door damage in the car fax report was a bigger issue then reported. Deception 4. The listing on facebook and on website had pictures of aftermarket bumper guards front and back. Sales manager told me they threw them away because they were falling off. They still took professional pictures of the vehicle with them. I was never told before driving 5 hours that they were not on the car nor was offered anything to compensate. They were at least a $1000 of accessories. Photos are below. Deception 5. After writing this review, I just found out that the driver power seat stopped working within 2 days of buying the car. My wife is unable to drive the car, because we can not move the seat for her. Supposedly it will cost 2k for Toyota to fix. There goes my savings for driving from Arkansas. They must have know about the seat starting to fail after 30 days of test drives. It was obvious to me when I adjusted it for the first time after the purchase. The motor sounded like a machine gone trying to move. I am starting to feel like I bought a lemon. I have lowered my rating from 2 to 1 star. More things to note: The listing on facebook was 1k more then the website. After adding in all the dealer fees and taxes we were 4k from listing price. After a little negotiation and considering taxes/registration, we were a bit closer to the facebook listed price but not website price. My batteries failed (they were low before purchase) in both of my key fabs on our 5 hr drive home. It took us a few minutes to figure out how to start the car. I blame the sales manager for most of this and the dealership. Our salesman was young and not very experienced. I don't believe he was intending to mislead us. The pictures of the accessories was an intentional misleading by either the sales manager and/or the dealership. So was the test drive and probably the seat. The payment situation was bad communication from the manager to the finance department. I would not recommend and will not return. This is unfortunate for them, because I need a 2nd vehicle.

READ BEFORE YOU GO!: I called ahead of time because I had a solid number from another dealership but they were in Fort Worth. Prosper is a lot closer to me but I was coming from denton and as you know going from denton to Prosper especially on 380 is no fun at all, so I called twice to verify that they would be able to work around the price range that I was offered by another dealership ($17,625 for a red 2022 premium mach e) On their mustang Mach e (prospers silver California 1 edition). I drove all the way from denton to Prosper after being told by two salesmen that they can definitely get close to that number and make a deal with me and to just come on in. I told them explicitly and respectfully that THIS IS THE NUMBER I NEED OR I'LL GO TO Fort W. And they said no problem we can take care of you. After driving for about 40 minutes Dealing with traffic, they looked at my trade-in While I looked at their car and noticed that it needed brake pads & rotors really badly. The rotors were engraved horribly by the metal to metal contact from the worn out brake pads with a bunch of scratches down to the primer That weren't even addressed. Their vehicle reconditioning was horrible. I brought this up to the salesman (Santiago) And he tried to brush it off by saying the car went through a multi point inspection. I've worked on cars for YEARS and told him how the brakes need immediate attention. He said he'll see what he can do After I made him look at it closely. We went inside and after waiting, he brought the paperwork for me to sign. It was FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS OVER where i told them i needed to be at! 2k+ in bs dealer add-ons. And they only offer 4k for my trade in where ford dallas offered 5.5k and fort w offered 5k. I took one look at the paperwork and told him to "give me my keys, this is why I asked you if you can get close to what I needed before driving all the way over here with my wife and kid. I'm going to To Fort Worth." he then tried to pull the "let me talk to my manager and see if we can come down on the price" bull and i said "No, we're leaving, give me my keys." They will undervalue your trade-in and overpriced their cars. They'll sell you cars that are a danger to you because they only care about your money. We ended up going to Fort worth And getting a newer car For a better price. (the red one is mine, the silver is the p of s they tried to scam me into). In my honest opinion don't waste your time with them, they will lie to get you in the office.

Preferring to buy locally, I visited Toyota of Plano to see if you could match the offer. Instead of a professional discussion, I was met with shocking hostility from one of your managers (a tall gentleman of Middle Eastern descent). He directly attacked my integrity, stating, "I've seen this trick many times; people bring fake quotes from Richardson or Prosper to deceive us." He further alleged, without any evidence, that the other dealer would add a markup of over $6,000. While I respect a dealership's right to decline a price match, I find it unacceptable to be accused of dishonesty. This lack of professional ethics is not only a personal insult but a significant blow to the Toyota brand image. As a direct result of this experience, I returned to Longo Toyota of Prosper the following day and purchased the vehicle there. The contrast in service was stark; they treated me with respect, and my wife is thrilled with our new car. I will be sharing this experience with my community to ensure other buyers know to take their business to dealerships that actually value their customers.

If you are unfortunate enough to own this car and experience this issue you know that there is no easy fix. When I arrived I pulled up, handed the tech the keys, and walked inside to check in. Lawrence was so nice and helpful, let me know a time frame, and explained where the restrooms and snacks were located. He also let me know there was a recall that they would also take care of while they had my car back there. After about 3 hours Lawrence called me up and informed me that they were not able to get the sunroof closed and the cost of getting it fixed is almost $11,000. Having just moved 1000 miles from home, looking for a job, and have now loss my reliable transportation I broke down right at his desk. Lawrence proceeded to go talk to other managers to see how he could help me. He mentioned that they could take the headliner down and MAYBE be able to get it closed that way. I had to take the risk. About 4 hours later he comes out to the lobby with a technician named Tristan. Poor Tristan had been fighting with my sunroof all day, but was determined to help me and continued to try everything he could possibly think of. Eventually all his hard work payed off and he was able to get closed and even washed my car for me. These two men may have just been doing their job to other people, but they really did change my life. They offered support, determination, and the willingness to go above and beyond for a customer. Having just moved to Texas this was my first experience with this location and I now will continue to have my car serviced here. P.S. Let this be a reminder to NOT get a Toyota Camry with a panoramic moonroof!!

I was shown three options for monthly payments depending on the level of my warranty by London Crawford I chose the lowest number stating that I didn't want any extra warranties. The payment seemed higher than I thought it would be, but I made the mistake of trusting the people I was working with. I was also not given copies of any of my paperwork. London let me know that it would be emailed to me - It never was. Ten days later I set up my auto draft payments with my lender, and I noticed that my loan balance was almost $8,000 higher than what I expected. I called the dealership multiple times, and never would get a call back. I went to Shottenkirk, and spoke to London who informed me that I had purchased a $5,995 extended warranty and $1,500 in Gap insurance. I let him know that I never agreed to those, but he gave me the paperwork where it was buried in the small print. He said that I could cancel these, but my payment amount wouldn't change. My loan would just be paid off sooner. If my payments were too high, all l I had to do was call the lender and let him know that I wanted to refinance, and they would change my payments (we all know it isn't that simple). I was so upset I forgot to get copies of that paperwork. More messages were not responded to, so I went back up where I was told that coincidentally my cancellation had just been approved, and I needed to sign new cancellation agreements (four days before my 30 day cancellation window closed). It took another month for Shottenkirk to transfer the funds and get my loan balance correct.

Response from the owner trying to resolve the problem is a joke, because when you do reach out, you can't get in touch with them. Emails responses are non-existent. I purchased my vehicle on March 13th and couldn't even take it home the same day because they said it needed some work done after I had already signed all the paper work without my knowledge and said itd be ready the next day. Fine, no big deal, the next day comes along and no word from them. I drive up to the dealership in the afternoon for a surprise visit while I was in the area and they said the car was ready and gave it to me. I also financed with them and when I was filling out the paperwork, I noticed the applications had the incorrect middle name, address, and contact phone number. They assured me that it would be corrected, but on my first payment, I noticed the information on my loan was incorrect and had to deal with Driveway Financial to get it updated, which was inconvenient on my part. Fast forward to March 27th, my sales guy reaches out to me and tells me I need to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for an inspection because it was never done and was adament about bringing the car back to them. Upon questioning, they said they were legally not allowed to sell a car without the state inspection on their end so the inspection had to be done from their side. Again, inconvenient, but what else could I do. I drop the car off on March 28th and get a loaner and then get my car back March 30th. I check in on April 19th (around week 6) for the registration sticker and they said it would take 6-9 weeks from date of purchase. Emailed again on May 7th for updates because I still hadn't received the registration sticker, no response. Followed up again on May 13th to my sales guy, Ammar Hussain, and Bryan Hall, General Sales Manager, no response. Now it is May 16th, going on week 10, still no registration sticker and no responses. I even reached out to the DMV and per their records, the buyer plates were assigned 3/16 and they did not show the title transfer transaction completed yet, even though Texas dealers have 30 days or 45 days if dealer financed from the date of the sale to submit the title transfer.

We reached out when we were on our way (same day) and our salesperson (Charlie) said to ask for Antonio, as he has to step out. After we told him we were just interested in the Mazda, he said he would go bring it around. After some time, a manager (Zack) came by and said he was here to help if needed and that they would be pulling the car up for us to look at. 10-15 minutes later, Antonio pulls up with a Mitsubishi (which he had already touted and I had already said I was uninterested). He proceeded to talk it up and after a quick look, we said no thanks - we'd like to see the Mazda. So he went back inside and after 10+ more minutes and what appeared to be a staff meeting was happening behind glass, Antonio came back out and said "Good News Bad News - the Mazda just sold, to one of our employees. But we found a Toyota Venza at a sister dealership (hours away) they could have here for us to see tomorrow." After telling him we weren't interested and frustrated we came a long way for this, Zach returned to apologize and asked what else we would be interested in. WHAT!?!?!?
