I brought my Ford in for its first oil change. I explained when I checked in that I would like to use my FordPass rewards points but had never used them before. They said, "no problem, we just have to look them up and you will be all set." When I went to pay they said I only had enough to pay for half of the oil change. Not knowing any better I paid. When I got home and explained my husband said, "that doesn't sound right." He did some research and found that I did have enough points to pay for the entire oil change plus some and that the service department took double the points out of my account than should have been taken for one oil change, plus charged me. The following morning my husband called several times after they opened but no one answered. He decided to just take a drive there. They agreed they made a mistake and refunded the money. I believe they tried to take advantage of my lack of knowledge in using the points. I park in the garage at our house and when I went to work my husband noticed oil on the ground where my car parks. We were worried it was leaking oil. He looked again after I left for work the following day, sure enough more oil. Gotta go back to the dealership. The service dept said it wasn't leaking oil but they were so messy with the oil change and had spilled so much that it was dripping from the undercarriage in my garage. I don't know if I believe them. What a disappointment. We will not be returning to Stanley Ford. If the simplest things like billing and oil changes don't go smoothly I can't imagine what would happen if I needed a more involved repair. Boo! read more

Normally the service department is amazing and I have been brining our cars there for maybe 6 years. However this was not the case this time, Ron is just so rude! He literally should never talk to customers. When I dropped off the truck I heard him speaking to another customer and was taken back on how he treated her. Then there was an issue with our warranty which Rick was helping us with and Ron calls demanding payment. His approach was horrible. Perhaps he has some unseen talents and I get its a service department full of mechanics but still no reason to be rude to people. read more

I was planning on just stating this to the Finance Manager, but I decided to make it known how much more they care about someone's money rather than their satisfaction. Driving 4 hours and making the decision in a matter of 2 days. It was the first vehicle that I have ever purchased. Aside from the dishonesty, sugarcoating and the wolf-like eyes of management, the worst experience was dealing with their Finance Manager. They had clocked me just before signing with $4600 dollars in petty warranties. Warranties that which I was told by the salesperson that could be cancelled at any point in time. It was apparently better to have them and cancel them than not at all--a tactic to make money on the back end of the deal. After a few months of contemplating on getting rid of them, I finally called Wes and spoke to him about cancelling these 4 warranties. As soon as I told him I decided to cancel, I heard a long, exaggerated sigh from his end, asking me which ones, and then an explanation as to why I couldn't retract the most expensive warranty that I had purchased. After reviewing the contracts more carefully and calling him back to protest against his statement, he budged. In order to prevent any other hurdles, I made sure to send it to the warranty company directly, and not just to him like he had requested because he was still stating vaguely that something more needed to be done. Not being able to look someone in the eye during a deal like this is one thing, but an instant, nasty attitude for a simple request with the business that I willingly gave (or was persuaded into giving) them is another. I am thankful that I don't have to deal with them ever again. read more

Stay away!! Brought my 2015 Explorer Sport in because the touch panel wasn't working and wouldn't change modes. Also it was blowing hot on one side and cold on the other. They had my vehicle 11 days after given the okay to start work. Within those 11 days I emailed the service supervisor in which I was ignored. I try to get in contact with my "service adviser" and all I got was sent to voice mail or I'll call you back. In which they never did. Finally called them on the 11th day and surprise my car was ready. Picked it up and they fixed everything but the problem it was brought in for. I immediately turn around and take it back and was told by my "service advisor " I never told him of the air vent problem. Please tell me what and how I described the main problem with my vehicle. And manage to leave out the important details. So after being called a liar and the loss of confidence in their techs I have to take my vehicle somewhere else. They also replaced some suspension parts and the front end makes more noise than it did when I first brought it in. So if you want to be disrespected and waste money this is your place!!! read more

After trying to do it myself, then contacting Sync directly, was told I needed to take it into a dealership to do the update. I called Stanley Ford and they told me there would be a $129.99 diagnostic fee and then additional charges depending on what they found. I called Bill Utter Ford in Denton and they set me up with an appointment and updated my system for free. After seeing all the negative reviews for Stanley Ford I guess I should have gone straight to Bill Utter Ford. read more

I'm writing this review approximately Six years after purchasing my 2005 Mustang GT from this dealership back on August 8th of 2015. The reason I have taken so long is because I have wanted to see how much of an impact their altering the mileage on the speedometer would effect the price of the car. At the time I took possession of the car the odometer read approximately 47,000 miles give or take a hundred or so miles. After having driven the car at night I noticed that the instrument cluster would not illuminate which made it impossible to see at what speed the car was traveling. I immediately returned to Stanley Ford the following day to inform them of the defect expecting them to repair the problem or replace the instrument cluster. I was eventually told by the service manager that the "My Color" cluster which cost approximately $1400 to replace and due to the fact that my car was a "preowned" vehicle I would be responsible for paying for the replacement. Fortunately, there was a district manager from Ford Motor company overhearing this conversation, and when I stormed out of the service yielding he stopped me, introduced himself and soured me that the cluster would be replaced at no cost to me! T was indeed replaced with a new cluster, BUT, after I had taken the vehicle out of the lot and was several miles down the road from Stanley Ford, I noticed that the odometer on the new speedometer now read approximately 65,000 miles give or take a hundred miles! Thats 18,000 miles More than the actual mileage! Sent that against the law??? I Mean the car couldn't have moved 18,000 miles while sitting in the shop with the hood up, could it? Looking back, I think it was a matter of someone being really mad because he was told to put that cluster in that car, and not charge me for it, and one way or the other I was going to pay..... well, six years later, I have put approximately 28000 miles on that car... the odometer should read around 75,000 but no, it reads 18,000miles more than it should.....approximately 93,000. Now, am I going to pay for that? A 2005 Mustang GT in great condition... 16 year old car with 93000 miles on the odometer... that still looks good. Probably will backfire in Stanley's ace, right? I Know this was long, but so was waiting six years to get my revenge! Mr Cameron the salesman really tried hard, but I really don't play mind games with used car salesmen...his dealership was a joke... read more

I've been doing business there for the past 5 years and in the last few years there's been a change in customer service that has gotten progressively worse. My issue is with the service department. Mr Stanley needs to put his employees through customer service classes. After filling out their district manager's survey that rate them poorly, I received another email from the district manager asking if Stanley ever responded. The answer, of course, was no. What does this tell you? No real accountability is taking place, it's just words, and they don't mean anything without action. It seems this is the case with Ford at every level. read more

After visiting several other dealerships, we decided to make the drive (from Dallas) to pilot point. As soon as we arrived- they had the car parked up front for us- they handed us the keys and told us to take it for a drive. They lowered the price $3,000 for us, without us having to negotiate. They even stayed open late for us to finish our paperwork and make sure everything was set. I am extremely happy with my new (used) car! Then when the issue continued my dtr requested to return this vehicle and get a different one Stanley Ford stated they didn't have a car comparable to hers, so her payments would be higher. She opted to keep car as she could not afford higher payments. She has since taken the car to an independent mechanic and has paid for repairs, only to have the same problem. We had agreed on pricing, trade value, etc., ahead of time and it was simply a matter of a walk-around and quick test drive, and the deal was done. Wes was extremely helpful, personable, as well as professional, and the entire transaction went within minutes. Wes was able to beat the best price of the lowest competitor by nearly $5000.00! Andrew on the finance side was also top notch. I highly recommend this business, and it was well worth the ninety minute drive for me. Let me preface this review by saying I very rarely post negative reviews, but after taking a day to cool off, I knew I owed it to other car shoppers to warn them about my experience. This is a review of a specific salesman, as I never got the chance to do business with the dealership. On Friday evening, I called this dealership and spoke with Damian about a car I'd seen on CarGurus. I was very specific about the model, trim level, and interior color I wanted, and I asked if this car was still available. I added that I'd be driving about 45 minutes to see the car. Damian told me he'd put me on hold for a couple of minutes while he checked to see if the car was still available. After less than a minute, he came back on the line and told me the car was there. I told him I would call again on Saturday morning to confirm the car's availability before I drove out there. Saturday morning, I called the dealership and spoke with Damian again, reiterating that I needed to confirm the car's availability before driving 45 minutes to see it. He assured me the car was still there, and I gave him my cell number, asking him to call me while we were enroute, if someone else showed up and wanted the car. We even joked about having him throw himself on the hood to prevent anyone else from looking at the car. When my husband and I arrived at the dealership, Damian told us he was with other customers at the time, but would send out another salesman to show us the car. We asked him where on the lot the car was, and he said, "It's probably over there (indicating the left side of the lot) somewhere, because that's where our used cars are". That should've been the first red flag, because he didn't even know for sure where the car was. We walked out, and finally found the car parked against the fence on the side of the lot. We thought maybe they'd pulled it out, since Damian knew we were coming to see it. When the promised salesman didn't appear to show us the car, we went back inside to wait. After about 10 minutes, my husband went to the front desk to see if we could get some help. Another salesman was looking for the keys, and the receptionist (?) said, "That car is going to Brownfield." We told the salesman we were leaving, and began to walk out the door. He said, "Wait, wait, let me check". He came back in and told us the car had been sold at auction, was going to Brownfield, and needed to go into the shop. At that point, Damian came over and said he was very sorry, that he didn't know until a short time before that that the car had been sold. Needless to say, we told him we'd driven 45 minutes to get to the dealership, and that I'd confirmed and reconfirmed the car was available, and that he had my contact info and could have let me know this before I drove all the way out there. Apologies at that point were just empty words. But wait, there's more. Yesterday evening, this same car popped up again on CarGurus, with new photos. It makes me wonder about deceptive practices at this dealership. It seemed like we were deliberately misled about the car I wanted to see. I thought I'd done my due diligence, but apparently not. Lesson learned. Stanley Ford lost the chance to make a sale to a husband and wife with outstanding credit scores, who were ready to buy a car that morning. We took our business elsewhere that day, and had a very good experience. I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone who is thinking about driving a distance to see a car at Stanley Ford. read more

We purchased a new Ford Flex there about 2 months ago and had one of the best buying experiences we have ever had. We drove about 5 hours to see and drive this particular Flex knowing we could probably get a better deal buying directly from them instead of our local dealer trading for it and then us dealing with them. We were correct. I feel they were very fair with our 2011 Flex trade in and there was no bait and switch on incentives because of the vehicle we selected. We received everything we asked for and the sales staff were friendly and on point. While buying I understood them to say they had just done a make over with their sales and finance staff. It was a great buying experience and I would definitely drive the distance again to purchase a vehicle if I am in the market for one. read more

We bought a 2015 ram 1500 in September and have had nothing but problems with it. It will shut off as we're driving down the road, today it shut off as my husband was crossing a railroad track. Stanley replaced the crankshaft sensors but the problem still exists, they basically told me today that I bought a used truck so I got what I paid for. If the truck cuts off on a busy highway and we're hurt or killed Stanley Ford will be sued. read more

STAY AWAY! From minute one, I have been blatantly lied to. I have a copy of the advertisement from Stanley's website showing the vehicle that I purchased...same serial number. Website shows it "new" and "1 mile" and "excellent" condition. I drove 6 hours to go buy this vehicle. When I got there it was scratched, dirty, worn and had 20 miles on it. Because there was not another in stock, I agreed to buy at a $500 discount. At contract signing they tried to slip in a $500 price increase AND several different fee charges. Total over $8100.00. They even tried to slip in charges for extended warranty. I called them on this charges. Left paying in full $6,999.00. But I didn't realize that there were mechanical issues and other major structural issues until I got home--late that night. Next morning, I called wanting to return because of door, windshield, seat belt, and gear issues. They refused. They claimed they would find me a repair shop closer to my home and then claimed there is one 6 hours round trip from me. Two trips minimum to get repairs done. It has now been over a week that this UTV has sat in my garage. I can't take it to the woods, which is why I bought it. The gear problem is a dangerous one. And as of today, I am no longer able to get in touch with Chris Cosner, Andrew, or Damian or even the guy, Max, I think, whom I first spoke with over the phone. None of these guys are ever in, available, or are with customers. I filed complaints with Dallas office of Better Business Bureau and I have filed one with Texas Attorney General's office. I will be contacting state senator tomorrow. read more
