Based on that experience I said when I was in the market for a new vehicle I would give them an opportunity. I had several choices on a new vehicle and narrowed it down to Toyota Tundra or GMC Sierra. Today, I signed the papers on the new GMC. I'm impressed with the overall quality of the truck and I made the right decision for myself and my family. If I had not had an issue with my truck having a blowout in front of this dealership I would've never even thought of a GMC. Katie Wilkins made this deal about as easy as a deal can be. Zero pressure & kept me fully informed on the make ready process.

During past visits, technicians clearly took pride in their work. Unfortunately, the service on this visit fell far below acceptable standards: Interior & Exterior Cleanliness: There were greasy oil and glove smudges across the hood and throughout the interior. Workmanship: The day after service, I found a 6-inch oil puddle under the truck. While it appears to have been residual oil, it indicates the technician failed to wipe down the underside after completing the work. Basic Maintenance Checks: The windshield washer fluid was completely empty, raising questions about whether a standard multi-point inspection was performed at all. I expect a significantly higher level of attention to detail from your service department. If cost reductions or rushed service have compromised your quality standards, please let me know so I can take my business elsewhere. I look forward to hearing how you plan to address these issues." No response, not even a "Hey we are checking on this issue...." automated type response. A+ on the headlamp replacement, tires and alignment. F- on the valvetrain noise. They ended up replacing all our rocker arms and lifters. And it worked. So why am I unhappy about this part of the repair? Because the vehicle was returned to me as if completed. Yet it had loose wiring harnesses, an unsecured coolant line, and they'd lost or misplaced my engine cover which is more than merely for appearances, it dramatically reduces engine noise in the cabin. The worst was yet to come. When I told them it was difficult to reach anyone on the phone and when I finally did, I was told my car didn't have an engine cover. In the end it was very frustrating experience and I am left wondering if other customers have been sent home with unfinished repairs or missing parts and just don't realize it or worse, were gaslit into believing an untruth. I will say that once I was able to get the attention of the service director the experience changed for the better and I am hopeful he will be more involved in the day to day of the shop going forward. While I cannot recommend this dealer and will use a competitor for service going forward, I am hopeful others will have better experiences and this will just be a learning opportunity for the dealer.

HARLEY my service advisor has no communication skills. I tried calling multiple times and texting her service number and I got no response to my questions. I called and asked for pricing and was told they had a $59.95 oil change special. I asked how long it would take to get an oil change today if I come in at 1pm and was told it should be about 30 to 45 minutes. (Normal timing) I got there and the price was different, asked about the special and was told there isn't one. I told her I had just spoken to someone that told me they had a special. She seemed annoyed that they told me they had a special. (That that was a call center who told me about the special and that they shouldn't be doing that). Then she proceed to try to upsell me an oil change package. When I asked questions about the package she had no answers to my basic questions regarding the package. IT TOOK THEM 3 HOURS to do a basic oil change. I have friends that express similar concerns with they took their vehicles in for service.

I have mixed feelings about this place and my honest review and feedback on how they can do better…read moreand what I did like. I was doing my research on the Toyota Crown and 2 years ago when I wanted to replace my Ford Taurus, I wanted to get one, but unfortunately I did not have the cash to get one so I settled with a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid as the Taurus was 150K. I saw that Toyota of Denton has a lot of Crowns in stock and it was the color I really wanted and one day I was curious of clicking on getting today's price. I also saw an old friend of mine worked there, Jack Mitchell. The price ended up being $2000 dollars off extra, so I ended up getting the car $6121 dollars off MSRP. Beware of the $2000 dollar off is a catch is you have to finance through them and not immediate. The person contacted me and wanted to know when I can come in and setup the appointment. I asked for Jack Mitchell and since Wednesday was his day off, he gave me a call early in the morning the following day. I setup an appointment with him on Friday. Unfortunately, Friday was really hectic and I could not get off of work until 4:30pm and I informed the dealership I will be arriving around 5:30pm. We finally arrived and Jack did recognized me as he was telling a story about how his in laws had 12 kids and one of them to get a boy and my wife finally intervened and asked if he remembered me and he did. We took a test drive and Jack told us about the car and some of the cool features. It was night time and we took the car around the block and it was not too bad. I thought the car drove okay, but I knew this was the car I really wanted based on the reviews. We came back to the office and the part I really dislike the most of is coming to a deal. The out the door price was the same. I had to mention about the $2000 off of today's price as they forgot to include that. Jack told me we had to finance through them to get the discount which I was okay and I was okay with out the door price as I knew Toyota of Denton offered the best price. I probably could have gone to other businesses and see if they can beat it, but since I knew Jack I wanted to do business with them. Next was the trade in and what they can offer us which is the tough part as I did my research of what other auto dealers were willing to pay for the car. The first one they offered me was $13,684 dollars and $15,000 trade in credit and I said well I was looking at other websites and they were willing to offer me $19600 to $20K for my car and we were way off with the trade in. Jack talked to his manager and they gave me $17000 for the car and $18000 for the trade in value so the total cost with taxes was $32,388.87 I wanted to push my luck and said if you can get the price to $31,999.99 you got yourself a deal. Then, they came back and only gave me the 0.87 off more and then we could not come to an agreement. Jack said why don't you see if you can sell your car for the price you are looking for and the out the door price will still be the same. I ended up selling my car somewhere else and took an Uber to the dealership and Jack met up with me. We went over the paperwork like credit and went byquickly. I had to wait 30 minutes for the finance guy. The finance guy went over all of the warranties and tried to do some scare tactics about tires deflating, try to get me to pay for future maintenance and theft insurance, but I declined them all. He was not pushy at all and found him humorous. The next step was getting the Toyota app setup and they were detailing my car and said it would be done in 30 minutes. I waited an hour and I finally said something like to ask what is happening as I really wanted to get out of there. The lady that was helping me out named Simone, I am not so sure she really liked her job or not as she seemed uninspired. She did not say anything to me or ask me how is everything. Anyways I found out the car was sitting there for 30 minutes. She setup my app and just took my phone and did her thing, there usually there is someone to guide you and give you instructions, but she just wanted to do her thing and get out of there. She said she did not want to install in the license plate as there was a holder, so she told me go to the service department and have it installed instead of her just taking the car and driving it there. Jack saw me leaving with the car and then he gave me instructions on how to setup the car and the features which was nice for 20 minutes. He asked me if I had any questions and I said no and I thanked him and took my car to the service department. They were fast with the installation and it was only 20 minutes. There is a follow up call with either the manager or the car sales person, but I did not not. I tried to contact them to see if the car owner manual comes with the car, but I did not get a response. Jack was great, finance was good, but rest was meh.

He gave off a very strong "I don't want to help you unless I know you're spending money today" vibe. In the 10 minutes we interacted with him, I don't think he smiled once (which seems like the bare minimum in the customer service industry). He was bothered to have to find keys to open cars for us to look at (which I'm guessing is in his job description). When we were in the parking lot and asked for his business card, rather than grabbing a card for us, he told us to go inside and get one off his desk. If Izzy still even has a job at Toyota when you go, just ask for someone else. There's a vending machine in there that would be just as helpful and at least it wouldn't be rude to you

A few months ago, I brought my 2022 Raptor in for The Works service package. After getting home, I noticed part of my splash shield had been left off during the oil change. I called the dealership, and they asked me to come back. When I arrived, they couldn't locate the missing piece and told me they would order a replacement. A few days later, they called to let me know the part had arrived. I told them I wouldn't be able to bring the truck back for a few days, and when I finally did, I explained the entire situation to the service advisor. He seemed confused at first, but eventually told me he had figured everything out and that they'd take care of it. I waited in the lobby for two hours. When the advisor came to get me, he said my truck was ready. Given my previous experience, I decided to verify the repair before leaving. To my surprise, the splash shield was still missing. I had just spent two hours waiting for absolutely nothing to be done, yet I was told the repair had been completed. That completely destroyed my confidence in the service department. Fast forward to today. I had no choice but to return for another The Works service since there aren't many Ford dealerships in my area. Before handing over my keys, I explained what had happened during my previous visit and emphasized that I simply wanted the work done correctly. The service advisor assured me everything would be handled properly. A few hours later, I received a call informing me that the technician had forgotten to put my wheel lock key back in my truck. At this point, it's no longer an isolated mistake, it's a pattern of carelessness and a lack of quality control. When customers are paying to have their vehicles serviced, they should be able to trust that basic procedures are followed and that their vehicle is returned complete. The service advisors have generally been polite, but the repeated mistakes and apparent lack of oversight reflect poorly on the leadership of the service department. Based on my experiences, management needs to take a much more active role in ensuring work is completed correctly before vehicles are returned to customers.

While I didn't purchase it from them, I did service it there for the entire time I owned it. Generally, I had positive experiences. Unfortunately, our experience at AutoNation Denton on July 3, 2026, was very different. We visited to test drive a 2018 Subaru Forester with 101k miles for my niece, who is a first-time driver and college student. From our initial online inquiry, we were transparent about budget and made it clear we were not interested in add-on packages or upselling. The car was listed online at $16,722. Jacob, assisted with the test drive, was outstanding. He was patient, professional, and made my nervous new driver feel comfortable. Josiah (turns out the rep who had texted in the AM) was also courteous and respectful throughout the process. The initial quote, exceeding $20k, included several add-on packages we had already said we didn't want. Even after those packages were removed, the numbers still weren't competitive given the vehicle's year/trim/condition, including a broken lift gate. Nevertheless, no harm...no foul. We understand it's a process. We thanked Josiah and proceeded to leave. Josiah asked for a number to take to his manager to reconsider. Bryan, Sales Manager soon entered and proceeded to ruin a 10-year reputation. Bryan had emailed me a promo packet on the Forester earlier in the morning. At which time, I let him know our case. So we should have all been on the same page. He proceeded to give an updated quote of around $18k, with a barked "cash or finance." We indicated neither. We said we would keep the quote in consideration in case something changes. As I went to take a picture of the quote, Bryan SNATCHED it from my hand stating it was confidential to his office. What in the actual?!? My husband and I have purchased multiple cars, and never have we had a sales team SNATCH ANYTHING FROM OUR HANDS! Let alone a quote to represent a good faith offer. That behavior simply REINFORCED that we had indeed made the correct decision. It was unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. We thanked everyone for their time and left. We ended up finding 2 comparable vehicles in better condition at more reasonable prices across the street. That dealership wasn't originally in our plan to visit. It's unfortunate because Jacob and Josiah represented the dealership well, but the management interaction overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. We won't be returning to AutoNation Denton. In the DFW, we have MANY choices in the businesses we support. No need to accept disrespect under any circumstance. Proceed with caution if you must and Good Luck!
