Always a great spot. The Nail techs are very good. They try very hard and while people seem to always show up 4 minutes before closing and expect a mani pedi extradourinaire they smile and never make anyone feel bad (although maybe they should!! Come on people. Come earlier so they can get out on time) nice facilities. Very busy and even when you have a call ahead they may be a little slower during busy times but worth the wait. read more

I have been going to Prospect Nails since I was 4 & I am now almost 19! I absolutely love Ricky & Jenny, and refuse to go to any other salon. They continuously make sure I am obsessed with my nails & satisfied. I am a bit obsessed with the way my nails look- I need them to be exactly the same & shaped identically. although this place is good at painting nails and do an excellent job with nail painting. I requested to have my toes painted with no pedicure and the man literally painted my toes nails from the nail chair and did an awful job. My toe nails look like I painted them my self and they still had the audacity to charge me. Here is just a little preview. read more

I have gone here many times and I always get the older lady as my nail tech and EVERY time i get either a mani or pedi she cuts at least one of my cuticles open and it starts bleeding. I just got out of my gel manicure today and she had cut open SIX of my fingers. my mom and sister come in and get other nail techs and they never have this happen. Next time i come in (if i do) i will definitely request a different nail tech. read more

I came here for mani pedis with a friend while I was visiting from out of town. It was okay, but not great. My pedicure was awesome! The woman who did it was excellent. But my manicure was not so relaxing. It took over an hour and the younger man was not so great, possibly still training? Instead of cutting my cuticle and the skin on the nail, he cut my actual skin around my nail. On my thumb it bled and was painful. There was just a small spot he cut on two other fingers. Proper blood biohazard protocols were not taken and he wiped the blood away with an ungloved thumb before getting a clotting solution to stop the bleeding. I should have spoken up and asked for someone else to finish the manicure, so it's completely my fault I had this experience. But I've also never had so many hangnails AFTER a manicure. Over the next week the skin around my nails just peeled like crazy. I will say though, I've never had just plain polish last on my nails for more than a few days. And we're going on a week as of today! So that's something gone right! read more

The people are talented and nice. Most of the time I make an appointment but still wait 30 to 45 minutes. The few times I have gone without an appt I was told there would be a ten minute wait and still waited 30 to 45 minutes. I have found a new salon with little to no wait. It's a shame because they do a fine job. I am just too busy for that kind of routine wait. read more

My regular nail tech left the salon where I usually go for a manicure so I tried Prospect Nails. I was not told the name of my nail tech but it was a very unpleasant experience. She was so rough I left with all cuticles red and sore and one of them actually bleeding. I ask repeatedly for her not to trim so close or push so hard to no avail. Needless to say I am still looking for a new nail tech. read more

When for a nails day with my best friend. Did not have the best experience. Not only did my nail tech rush me into picking a color I didn't want, my nails had to be wiped off with a paper towel from my nails bleeding. She was so rough doing my nails & when I told her the shape I wanted she was very rude to me. My nails turned out fine but obviously not the color I wanted. However the next day my friend and I had really bad pain in our nails. My friend has to ice her nails because they hurt so bad. I think this place is over priced & the service was terrible. My nail technician did a fine job on my nails but the service was horrendous. She did 1/2 of my nails them left me for 30 minutes to work on another client. Leaving me sitting for no apparent reason to work on another client. Very annoying. Will not be coming back. read more

Sometimes there can be a wait but every chair for manicures and pedicures are used so they don't have space to expand. This salon is so poorly run. For three regular manicures (not gel, not acrylic, not dip) we were there over 2 and a half hours. After waiting for nearly an hour to be seated, or even acknowledged, we sat with acetone and foil on our nails for over 45 minutes. The prices "change" seemingly on a whim. My daughters were charged different prices for their manicures. Our family of four women will not return. read more

I have gone their for years but I usually always went to a girl named Hanna and a few times with Jennifer and they did a great job doing manicures and pedicures. Having said that, Hanna left the area and no longer works there. I called ahead to see if they had time to do a pedicure and Ricky, the the owner, said to come at 3. When I got there, he asked if I was getting a manicure and I said I wasn't planning on it. He then said I would have to wait but if I did a manicure, he could take me now. Long story short, I did a dip manicure and he put glue under all my nails and they were glued to the skin. He did no work on my cuticles. I even had blobs of white around the nails. It was the worse manicure ever! Didn't even put lotion on my hands and when I told him I didn't like my nails glued to the skin, he dug under them and made a couple of them bleed. I then proceeded to use the pick myself to free the nail from the skin. He saw my bleeding nailbed and joked and said "welcome to Prospect Nails." I was not amused. I paid the $80 and left! I will NOT be back!!!! read more

I randonly stopped into Prospect Nails last Friday afternoon. I was taking a break from my sister-in-law's wedding prep and noticed my nails were horrendous from the glueing, hammering, wrapping, and bow tyeing. After accounting for travel time I knew I only had about 20 minutes to actually set in a chair. When I walked in I was instantly greeted and asked to pick my color. Within 5 minutes I was in a chair and a wonderful genlteman (whom I CANNOT for the life of me remember his name) was quick to work. I told him about the upcoming wedding and rehearsal dinner and my time crunch. He said it was no problem and he would have me out and perfect ni 15 minutes... AND HE DID! It looks fabulous, I had great conversation, and the work was stellar. Best part - it was only $15. I could tell the other ladies were regulars and everyone was talking across chairs and across the salon about friends, kids soccer, and the amrgaritas they had for dinner the night before. If I lived in Prospect I could definitly see myself becoming a regular here. Kudos! read more

Prospect nails is the best! Clean and modern atmosphere, Ricky and Jenny are a great husband and wife team. Jenny can always pick out the perfect color if you aren't sure what you want. This is honestly WORST nail salon I've ever been to!!! I've never been more disgusted with service I've received at a nail salon. When I walked in, it took someone 10 minutes before they even greeted us and asked what services we were there for. They told us it was a 10 minute wait and then had us sit there and wait for 30 minutes. When I arrived at the station for my manicure, it was dirty with tools and old water from the previous manicure. The technician did not bother cleaning the station before beginning my manicure. I don't even know if she used clean or used tools on my nails, everything just looked so dirty. Before she started my manicure she told a lady waiting that she would finish my nails really quick so she could get started on hers. I found that very rude as I felt like my manicure was being rushed through so she could get started on the next lady's. In addition to the dirty atmosphere and horrible service, my manicure started chipping after ONE DAY. It's been 4 days since and the nail polish is like completely off. Such a waste of money. Please avoid this terrible salon and go somewhere else. You will be thankful that you did!!! read more
