The minute I opened the door I received a friendly greeting and was seated for a pedicure. I had a couple of special requests and the technician listened carefully and did exactly as I requested. The technician was very attentive and communicated throughout the procedure to ensure that I had no pain or discomfort. This was by far the most pleasant pedicure experience that I have had, and I will definitely be a repeat customer. I did withhold the 5th star because the floor needed to be swept (a lot of nails and other debris), but the technicians sat in the massage chairs looking at their phones when they had no customers rather than attend to the floor.

However, I'm currently a caregiver for my mom and wanted to treat myself. I walked in back in September and Rose was so kind and patient with me. I wanted to get something nice done before I flew to Ireland. The staff worked with me to create these custom design nails of a claddaugh and Celtic design. The nails lasted me a month! I got so many compliments. So I went back yesterday to get some Halloween nails. Jennifer helped with the nail art and was meticulous in trying to get the design on the witch hat. Both times I went there are plenty of regulars, which I always think is a good sign. I will definitely go back. There is plenty of free parking in front of the building. Oh don't forget to bring cash to tip your nail tech!

1. Unfortunately this was the worst dip powder service I have ever had. My nails were overly damaged during the service and are paper thin now. 2. To remove previous dip/polish they have your entire hands soak in a bowl of chemicals. The smell is so strong I instantly got lightheaded and had to ask for a mask. 3. Due to the harsh full hand chemical soak my knuckles began to bleed. Normally salons will wrap just the fingernail in polish remover. 4. They only let you tip in cash, I asked to tip by card but was refused. Tips aren't taxed so why make it harder on clients to tip?

"Tommy" cut all my toenails off so short that when he's filing them it's just scraping the meat off the tops of my toes which are already tender from being cut so close. He cut my pinky toenail on my left foot completely off- and had to put an acrylic nail on it. The right one is so short it looks stupid. The polish on a couple of toes aren't even covering the nail so it looks crazy. Then Vincent does the 3D flowers and starts gaslighting me saying Tommy told him I came in with my nails that short which is a damn lie and tells me he knows it's too hard for me to understand... like I'm so stupid and so uneducated that I can't comprehend what's going on- that he simply needs to file my toenails square and they'll look better. I have none left so what are you shaping. No he butchered my toes and did a wild job with the paint and rhinestones. The tops of my toes hurt and it's HOURS later. Nothing close to what I asked for... This is for my birthday festivities and now I'm just crying and my toes hurt... what heels am I wearing? I'm not. What outfit is an outfit without the shoes to tie it together? Ruined me. The whole weekend is ruined. Then to add insult to injury I have to pay for this and he's trying to force me to take a gift card. No. I'm never coming back. Just take it. No. You want to gift me something?? REFUND ME!!!! Yes I spoke up before during and after and was gaslighted through the entire process. Lying and saying I came in with my toenails cut like that and you can even now hours later still see the indents of where my toenails were long. You can see the meat and skin under the nail was cut too close then sanded multiple times even when I asked for it to not happen anymore cause it hurts. He (Tommy) didn't even rinse my legs or feet off so I was covered with scrub etc and it just been sitting on me- then Vincent tried to wipe it off- no I need to rinse off. So I had to sit with this crap on me for hours because I had more stuff to do to get ready for the weekends events for my birthday. I tried to be quiet and not let it be known how angry I was and how badly it hurts. I have to say that this was just jacked up and shouldn't ever happen to anyone. And I have real time text receipts on how this whole thing unfolded. So please lie on me again. I will post them. My entire conversation with my daughter as this is happening to me! Timestamps and all. Lie on me again. I say quietly trying not to let them see me cry and fuming. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried not only a new place for the first time but also getting art on my feet too. So this was just awful and now I have to carry on with my toes hurting for how ever long it takes to heal and pray I don't develop an infection or damn fungus. I'm a plain polish woman and I'm good with it. So for me to have gone and asked for something that should have been special... Yes I'm livid. I waited all evening to come write calmly and see if my feet would feel better. They don't. I have 3 pairs of new shoes I can't wear this weekend. I'm embarrassed and sad and my toes hurt! My daughter even finally reiterated that I didn't like them and that Tommy really cut my nails entirely too short, all Vincent could say is ok I'll make them pretty for you... but only by- shaping them square. Every time I come, Shelby always manages to make a picture that I've found of hair come to life…read more I've had a wide variety of colors and be loved every one of them. Shelby always remembers my family and asks how they are doing. Denise also asks and they both are just so kind and neither have a bad bone in their bodies. Anyway, just sharing a picture of my hair to see the varieties I've had the past 4ish years from Shelby. Additionally, I have a very sensitive head and Shelby does her best to try not to hurt me. And since I live in Lexington, she always makes appointments work for me. And Shelby also waxes eyebrows and does it fairly painless. Excellent work as always! And she does Keratin smoothing treatments about twice a year to my hair. Really helps when I straighten my hair and keeps the frizz down in my hair significantly. Sometimes I wish my hair could just stop growing so that my hair could always be frizz free. Lol. Best hair place ever!! The day I move farther away is going to be a sad, sad day.

My coworker loves Denise, and despite the fact that she's had several bad experiences (late,…read morecanceled, missed cutting areas of her hair and had to go back, scheduled multiple people at the same time), I decided to get a blowout Groupon. The first visit I scheduled with Denise, but did not find out I was seeing another stylist until I got there. It appeared Denise had scheduled someone else that was overlapping my appointment. Luanne was kind enough to volunteer to do my hair to help Denise, unfortunately it was apparent she had never done a true blowout. I could tell because she was asking Shelby how to use the curling wand. That was probably my sign to leave, but I thought I would give her a chance. Although Luanne was nice, she did a terrible job. She was very rough when using the round brush on my hair - it's surprising that I had any hair left. She dropped the blow dryer on my head and the curling wand. She tried to style my hair so it would look nice the next day, and didn't even bother to ask if I had somewhere to be that night (which I did). Evidently her arm or hand gives out occasionally - which makes me wonder why she's still doing hair. The blowout was not a true blowout and looked terrible. By the time the appointment was over, I was hungry and wanted to get the heck out of there and to my dinner, so I just gritted my teeth and told them it was good. I texted Denise later showing her there were sections of my hair without curl and after some back and forth she agreed to give me a do-over after Derby. She was VERY difficult to deal with, even tried to blame everything on me. Denise also explained to me that the blowout Groupon is for only straight hair. (This was not in the fine-print of the Groupon.) She said they canceled the blowout Groupon due to the misunderstanding of what a blowout is. In another text she even said she doesn't take Groupons - how does that even make sense? When I first got my Groupon in Feb, I made an appointment for June. Two days before my appointment she asked if I could come at a later time, but I couldn't. She then proceeded to tell me to show up early or on-time because she was going to have to work me in between her 530 - basically she was going to work on me while her color customer was processing. Evidently Denise cannot figure out how to make a schedule. While I am always on-time or early to my appointments, I decided to cancel since I don't prefer to share my appointment with someone else. She believes it's perfectly acceptable to work on multiple people at one time. I prefer to have the sole attention of the stylist. I canceled my June appointment and went ahead and got a full refund from Groupon ($55). Overall, I would not recommend ANYONE to come here. Denise was very difficult to deal with and you might have to share your appointment with someone else.
