My husband and I recently got married at Prospect Hill Inn. While the ceremony was beautiful and the venue has charm, the experience leading up to and during our wedding day was incredibly stressful due to poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and a total lack of professional coordination. We chose this intimate venue for a low-stress experience, but we felt like a low priority and were blamed for every issue. Before we paid our deposit, communication with T was fantastic. Afterward, replies went from taking hours to taking weeks. Though coordination was explicitly included, T failed to deliver: No Communication/Direction: T ignored late-night texts about the fire pit, leaving my husband to build it. On the wedding day, no one directed guests or vendors; I had to meet people in the parking lot. Timeline Failures: Our 5:00 PM ceremony started late because no one tracked the timeline or gathered the groom. T then rushed us through everything else to hit a strict 7:00 PM dinner, cutting into our photography. Poor Hospitality: In 90-degree heat, we had to make six trips to haul bags to our cottage with no help or golf cart offered. Later, staff refused to let guests (including older family) sit down or get a drink before we entered. During a rushed photo session, T inappropriately interrupted to complain about our guest book pens. The Flowers & Charms: Friday, I gave T a labeled bag. My mom explicitly asked her to attach 4 sentimental charms of my late grandparents to my bouquet. T agreed. By 3:50 PM Saturday, I had no flowers. T was entirely off-property, forcing my mom to hunt down the bouquet. When found, the charms were missing. T arrived late, blamed others, and told me to attach them myself while in my wedding dress. The groom's boutonnieres also arrived Friday and were brown and wilted by ceremony time. Blame & Broken Promises: The AC: When the AC broke in my parents' room, T instantly accused us: "You must have blown a fuse." Dances: T acted visibly annoyed by our first and parent dances, though they were explicitly scheduled. The Grounds: Promised winter hydrangeas and wildflower hills were actually zero bushes and pure dirt. Hidden Fees & Perks: T forgot our cake design details multiple times. Souvenir flutes contractually promised were never received. We were charged a surprise $21 fee for cottage breakfast delivery. When we asked to put our refund on a different card, they fought us before reluctantly writing a check. The Menu: Food quality didn't match prior menus. We were never shown the breakfast menu, yet T snapped at my husband for asking for ketchup and blamed us for not changing a menu we never saw. To top it off, our marriage certificate arrived with my name misspelled and the wrong date. T never offered a single compliment on the wedding day and didn't even say goodbye at checkout. Our wedding was beautiful solely because our 11 guests stepped up to run it. Future couples: what is promised in the sales pitch is not what is delivered. Get every syllable in writing. read more

When we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles, chocolate chip cookies, and a perfect pup's hello. The bed and breakfast is historical, charming, and decorated exquisitely. Our hosts did everything include printing nearby wineries on our way home to ensure we had the perfect experience. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and had a great reading nook. My favorite part was sitting on the porch at night watching the fire flies dance in the backyard and the beautiful birds flying around in the day. The pool was the perfect size to enjoy a great fresh swim in the mountain air. Our breakfast was a scrumptious three course meal cooked to perfection ton that kept us full all day. I would not recommend Prospect Hill Inn as a wedding venue. My daughter chose this venue because we were repeatedly told that if we communicated our wishes ahead of time, everything would be handled and we could simply relax and enjoy the wedding day. Unfortunately, our experience was the exact opposite. Upon arrival, we had to carry all of our belongings and wedding items down paths to the cabins ourselves. Although golf carts were available on the property, no assistance was offered. Prior to the wedding, we provided decorations and special charms that were to be attached to my daughter's bouquet in memory of grandparents who had passed away. We were assured that everything would be taken care of. On the morning of the wedding, we were asked when the bouquet was needed and stated 4:00 p.m. for pictures. By 4:15 p.m., we had received no communication. Multiple texts to the owner went unanswered. When I finally reached her by phone, she was not even on the property and said she would not be back for another 30 minutes. The wedding was scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. I ended up locating the bouquet myself. The memorial charms had not been attached, and no one knew where they were. At 5:00 p.m., the owner still had not arrived, and no staff member seemed to know what was happening or what needed to be done. Our family was left coordinating the wedding ourselves. The ceremony was delayed until 5:30 p.m., which affected photography since the photographer was only contracted for a limited amount of time. To make matters worse, when it was time for the couple's first dance, the owner told my daughter that she knew nothing about it, despite it being included in the contract and paid for as part of the package. We were then rushed through photos because dinner was scheduled for 7:00 p.m., even though many of the delays stemmed from the lack of coordination earlier in the day. The owner also interrupted the couple's send-off over a pen issue that could have been handled later. The problems continued throughout our stay. The air conditioning in our cabin failed on the final night, leaving us in uncomfortable temperatures above 80 degrees. When we politely shared our concerns before leaving, hoping for an explanation or apology, none was offered. Instead, responsibility was shifted back onto us. We were also owed a credit on our account. Initially, we were told it could not be refunded because the original card used for booking had been closed. After considerable discussion, a cash refund was finally offered. However, when my daughter picked it up, it was $21 short. We were told this was for breakfast-in-bed delivery for the newlyweds, despite previously being told that this was included in the wedding package. Perhaps most disappointing of all, when the newlyweds checked out, the owner would not speak with them. This was a weekend that should have been focused on celebrating my daughter's wedding. I ordered the steak for lunch and it was tasty but not outstanding. We were a large group so I can imagine it was difficult to get all of the food out. I was looking for a two night, pet friendly stay near a few wineries to celebrate a 40th birthday. I'm so glad that my internet searches led me to Prospect Hill Inn. First off, every interaction from booking to check out was full of kindness and going above and beyond. When the owners found out we were celebrating a birthday, T excitedly said she'd "birthday bomb" the room. That she did! Full of decorations and balloons, it was a beautiful way to celebrate. Then, after chatting with Jim, the chef, he learned that the birthday boy loved lamb and offered to make that special (we signed up for the five course meal). The five courses we had were so worth the cost. Not only were portions huge, but everything we were given was absolutely delicious. I'll dream of that filet mignon for a while. The three course breakfasts were also amazing, made extra special by selecting one of their tons of options of flavored lattes. I couldn't recommend staying here more. I cannot rave enough about our relaxing vacation.... This in. Definitely set the precedence for Bed and Breakfast. The staff/ owners were extremely attentive and welcoming. We booked a stay with 2 dogs and they gave accommodations for them as well. We had bowls, bedding, towels, clean up bags and a trash can outside for them. Breakfast was top notch. I look forward to returning and trying dinner. There is limited space for dinner reservations, so booking ahead will be an advantage. The rooms are warm and welcoming. The grounds are well kept. We went to Prospect Hill Inn to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and stayed in The Overseer's Cottage. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We arrived on a Saturday, and stayed until the following Saturday. We were warmly greeted by T and the dogs even though she was juggling a wedding party. After giving us a cookie, and getting us checked in, she gave us a list of recommendations for local restaurants based on previous guest experiences, gave us a quick tour of the property, showed us our cottage, and got us extra towels and wash cloths (she wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed). We woke up early the next morning and walked the short (but beautiful!) nature trail on the property before heading to the main inn for breakfast. We finished our walk and approached the back door to see T standing at the back door offering us coffee since we were a little early for breakfast. She let us know that another guest had lit the fire pit already so we took our coffee to the fire pit. Then, we had breakfast. Oh. My. Goodness. Every single component of every single breakfast was divine. Jim (T's husband) puts a lot of love into every meal he cooks and you can taste it! Each breakfast starts with a latte, juice of your choice, and either a small smoothie or some fruit and yogurt. We had French toast with bacon the first day, and during the week we had breakfast casserole, blueberry pancakes, chicken and waffles, omelettes, and more! Not one repeated meal in 7 days and they were all delicious! The end of each breakfast had a dessert -- key lime tart, blueberry muffin, peach compote with vanilla ice cream, coffee cupcake, pumpkin bar, each one better than the last. After breakfast every day we'd talk to T about our plans for the day and she would tell us about anything she knew about where we were going and what we were doing. On our actual anniversary, we had booked an "Innkeeper's Dinner" at the inn which was a private dining experience with a 5 course meal prepared by Jim and served by T. Again, every course was amazing. They have a set menu for each season (ours was Fall) with several different options for each course. We had let them know a few days in advance what our choices were and Jim did not disappoint! T took pictures for us before dinner, and she did a fabulous job! We brought a bottle of wine that we had gotten from a local winery and they served it with our dinner. When it was finally time to go home after our weeklong stay, we didn't want to leave. T hugged our neck and I almost cried! She and Jim were such gracious and attentive hosts, and I KNOW that they are going to do great things at Prospect Hill. Spent the weekend with Terenee and Jim and it was a very enjoyable weekend. Great opportunity to immerse yourself in the complicated colonial history of the area, including a visit to Monticello and the Michie tavern. We opted for the weekend five course meal after some debate....at $85 a plate it was not a snap decision. However, I can confidently report that the meal was worth the money. Jim prepared a generous five course evening and we ended up taking leftovers home with us as we could not eat everything that night. The accommodations were clean and enjoyable and the hospitality was everything you could hope for, the owners were beyond generous during the stay and are very interesting folks with fascinating back stories if you take the time to speak with them. Hoping we can return annually and enjoy this cozy spot in the Virginia countryside. read more

Wish there were more stars to give for the incredible stay we had here. Breakfast was the main event of our day and just got better each day. We had a hard time choosing on line which gorgeous room to stay in and opted for the carriage house which had the perfect amount of room, charm, privacy and luxury that we could ask for. That being said after seeing in person there are about 4 others we hope to come back to visit. The hosts are perfectly lovely and catered to our every whim with such class and grace. Their sweet fur baby Collete helped deliver breakfast to our room each morning and gave us lots of love we were missing from our own fur babies. The grounds are breathtaking. There are nature trails, horse pastures, alpacas to see and a gorgeous Vista plateau for taking in the sunsets. Well done Prospect Hill. Every detail has been thought out and executed with the most delicate and thoughtful touch. We can't wait to come back. read more

I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and I was beyond impressed! My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and Doc checked us in and showed us around the historic 40-acre property. We didn't eat dinner there but we hope to next time! We stayed in Uncle Guy's Loft which was very cozy. There were sodas, fresh well water, and a half bottle of wine waiting for us. My biggest complaints about the room were that the walls are paper thin...this loft is connected to a downstairs loft and we heard our neighbors often. Also, there are only locks on the inside of the rooms, so when we left for the night to grab dinner, we weren't able to lock our room from the outside (which maybe i was worrying too much since we were out in the middle of nowhere, but you never know!). The bathroom is also very narrow and small (was tough for my 6'6" boyfriend to maneuver around)!m but we made it work! The best part was the fire we had inside the room...it was super cozy and we did have a great night's sleep. In the morning we were delivered breakfast in bed which was the chef's choice of eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, fruit, coffee cake, coffee and orange juice. That was the icing on the cake for us! We truly enjoyed our time and look forward to staying again, this time for two nights, staying for dinner, and probably in a more private cabin. We can't wait to return! read more

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates historic properties and enjoys relaxing! The Colonel and I would go back in a heartbeat. We found this place semi-last minute while deciding to do a trip to Monticello for the Fourth of July. A few rooms were still open, and they ranged in price from about 165-355, pretty much in the range for that area of Virginia. We picked the 'Boys Cabin' the original log cabin homestead for the site, dating back to 1699. Booking online was easy and flawless, and we speak as folks with experience implementing website storefronts. We arrived around 5 PM on Saturday, after visiting Montpelier. The hotel was equidistant from both Presidential homes, which is another reason we selected it. We were greeted by Kristin, who gave us a tour of the house and our cabin. We then followed her back to the reception to make a reservation for dinner and to grab a glass of wine, which we then took out onto the porch. We sat and relaxed for the hour before dinner, snuggling with the ginger porch cat, an elderly but friendly gentleman. Then we took our glasses and entered the pretty little chintz dining room, where we had a table by a lace curtained window. The style of the house is very traditional Southern, with lots of swags and chintz and crystal lamps. I love it as it always reminds me of my grandmother. Dinner was amazing, and for such a small out of the way place (you do travel on some gravel roads to get there) it was even more impressive. The prix fixe menu is an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $55. I had a salad, pork chop, and 'Italian toast' while the Colonel had scallops, salmon wrapped in bacon, and a brulee bread pudding. We took pictures so you can see how good it was -- my salad perfectly complemented the pork chop, the side vegetables were fresh and beautifully done, and the chop came with both a risotto (perfect) and was stuffed with cornbread dressing, which I normally dislike but found to be delicious. The salmon had the same sides and was even better! Dessert was gorgeous, and I was getting stuffed, even though the portions were well sized. We signed our check and went back to our room where I promptly fell asleep for two hours. Our room was 17th century sized, but modernization means it is about half bathroom, including a whirlpool bath. There was a large fluffy bed with I'm pretty sure a featherbed on it, taking up about 3/4 of the space. The bed was soft and the Colonel woke up once with a creaky back, but I thought it was fine. We had a fireplace that looked properly witchy, and a plate with bottle water and some homemade cookies. It was nice to have a place where no noises from neighbors will disturb you. It overlooked the pool, which is unheated, and that would have been nice had it not been for the crazy weather we had that weekend, where it was actually cold and rainy. The next morning we breakfasted (for free) in the same cute dining room. Very generous for a 'free' breakfast -- yogurt parfait with VERY good fruit, yummy cheese grits, two pieces of good quality bacon, and some blueberry pancakes. All very festive for Independence Day. Afterwards we attempted to take a walk as the property has a nice 1.5 mile trail through some forest, but we turned back due to rain and mud. We watched a girl exercise a horse, and made friends with a nice poodle that was roaming the premises. All in all a wonderful stay. I think it is good for families (what with the pets and the walking and the pool) as long as you plan to get multiple rooms. We sometimes bunk up but that would not have been possible had the Sprossling been with us. They are dog friendly (with some rules) and asked about any dietary restrictions. It IS a very old property, so you have to be willing to put up with quirks, and I would not pick it if you plan to plug in a million devices or watch TV (none in the room). It is a place for relaxing and socializing with your loved ones and friendly strangers. By the time I left I felt like we had vacationed briefly in another era! read more

New owners - Jim and his wife "T" purchased the B&B in July 2023. When we arrived at 2:30 pm on Friday, "T" who was sitting in a room next to the front desk, did not greet us. We wandered around the unkept property and sat at the pool that was closed for service. We left 2 messages regarding our reservation - one on Thursday and another message Friday morning and received no response. We finally received a call from Jim at 3 pm on Friday who was surprised we were at the B&B already. He was polite, knowledgeable about the property's history, and conveyed his enthusiasm for rehabbing the property to its original glory. On Friday evening there was a thunder storm and power outage at 8:00 pm. Our room "The Thompson Room" in the upper floor quickly turned into a sauna because the back-up generator only powered a few rooms in the B&B, none of which is a bedroom. As we left, we attempted to find Jim and T. Neither of them were available, but we found another guest who was also wandering around in the dark. I sent an email notifying them we were leaving and returned the room key to an empty front desk. I called on Monday and learned that power wasn't restored until after midnight. I was hoping we could receive a refund or at least a partial refund, but was rudely spoken to by "T" with an emphatic "No" because she said "The dining room was available." We are an older couple and sitting in a dining room after a long day is not what I consider accommodations. I asked to speak to Jim and again was told by T "No". Save your money and find another B&B. Jim could be successful, but not with a partner like T. read more

We have been here twice and we love it! The have rooms that accommodate our dogs and kiddo. There's a pool, running trail, and most importantly a yummy restaurant on site. Do not stay at this Inn. There are new owners and the woman we spoke with on the phone, "T", was extremely rude and essentially should not be working in hospitality. This is not a child-friendly inn -- we booked a room that did not indicate that there were no children allowed (some rooms state no children) and we have small infant -- when I told T we were planning to bring our baby, she sounded appalled. Also, their restaurant is not open nor are the pictures of the amazing food accurate, as those were left up from the prior owners. Save yourself the displeasure of ever interacting with the owners and stay somewhere else. read more

We had a wonderful stay at Prospect Hill. We rented the Overseer's Cottage for me, my husband, our young son, and our dog. The innkeepers thought of everything and brought a cot for our son and had bowls and treats for the dog. One of the highlights was the working fireplace in the bedroom, which was very cozy. The main house stays open all night and has a great selection of books and board games. The breakfast, which was delivered in-room, was delicious, and the innkeepers again accommodated us and brought waffles for my son (who does not eat eggs). The property is gorgeous and quiet. My son really enjoyed seeing the chicken coop, the alpacas, and the horses. It was the relaxing getaway we needed. We'll definitely be back! read more

While the property itself is nice, I truly believe they need to advertise themselves differently. I had the groupon price, which is still expensive, so if others are paying the standard price they need to understand what they are paying for. The "gourmet" breakfast just isn't gourmet. The dining room is nice looking, and it is nice that they can bring your breakfast to your room, but I'm sorry just because you make it slightly nicer looking that a regular breakfast does not make a very small omelette and potatoes different than any other omelette and potatoes. Same goes for waffles. Sorry, just not gourmet. They also advertise it as being central to many wineries. It takes at least 25 minutes driving to get to the first winery, and then after that another 25 minutes to get to the next. It is 15 miles to downtown, and when you call and ask about the distance they assure you that it's just down one road--straight shot. You could also be asking why didn't I just map it out, and I did, but I was assured for a while that it was great and central and even luxurious and the reason I'm writing this review is because most reviews on here are very happy with this place--and that's great--but if you're looking for an upscale B&B (that doesn't have cracks all over the ceiling and a toilet that only flushes after 3 times) central to wineries and downtown restaurants that you don't have to drive forever to get to, this is not the place. read more

The breakfasts were more limited and basic than typical B&Bs, but it's also still a pandemic and I'm sure when they are back at full speed, it will be better. This was my first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast and it was wonderful, the breakfast was great, sadly I did not get to eat their dinner, the property is very well maintained, the room was very comfortable and nice, and their are all kinds of animals that you can make friends with such as a black cat and a dog called Rocky, and the dog followed me everywhere, and other wildlife such as alpacas and horses (also saw a deer) and so on. My husband and I recently stayed at Prospect Hill Plantation Inn for a long weekend. We were both extremely disappointed in our stay, and I felt compelled to share our experience. The room we had booked (Miss Marcie's room) was unbearably hot- this was immediately evident, but we did our best to make it work with the use of the air conditioning unit and a fan that a young man serving food downstairs was kind enough to bring up when we asked about the temperature. It was only on our second night that we were informed that the room stays hot no matter what because it's directly above the kitchen. This is not something that any guest should have to put up with when staying at what is clearly being marketed as an upscale bed and breakfast/inn. On our second night, after having been out all day hiking, my husband tried to take a shower, but the shower kept shutting off on its own and the water never got warm. The only person we could find to tell this to was the same young man serving in the dining room downstairs, who informed us that the water pressure goes significantly down when the dishwasher is being run. Again, not something any guest should have to deal with. To his credit, he tried to assure us that the water would come back on, and when it didn't, he moved us to another room. This room was an improvement temperature-wise, as the air conditioning unit actually worked and the room cooled down. But the room had no refrigerator, the complimentary sodas and water were sitting warm on the nightstand, and we encountered another problem we had seen in our first room, as well. Bugs, everywhere. I understand this is Virginia in the warmer months, so some bugs are unavoidable, but my husband had to dispose of one larger spider and a sack of baby spiders within minutes of being in the room. There were flies and moths in the room throughout our stay, and we could see that the windows were not sealed properly, as well as the door to the outside porch. The next morning, we ran into the woman who had checked us in to the inn, and she made absolutely no mention of us having no water pressure, no hot water, and a boiling hot room, let alone having to make several trips to carry our pieces of luggage down one set of stairs, through the dining room, and up another set of stairs to change rooms. A simple acknowledgment of the situation and an apology would have sufficed; instead, no mention of it was made and it was as if the whole evening before simply hadn't happened. It seemed very unprofessional that the situation went unremarked upon. One final note is that there are no locks, anywhere. The front door is open 24/7, and the rooms similarly have no lock, just a small deadbolt you can use from the inside. It made us feel uncomfortable to know that when we were out, anyone in the house had access to all of our belongings, and that anyone could walk in to the house at any time. We had a gift certificate that paid for most of this stay, otherwise we would have left and stayed elsewhere. To be fair, the grounds are beautiful, although the pool area looks like it hasn't been maintained in years, and we saw a large vulture which was interesting to see. We stayed here one night and it was super cute! The owner made a point to know everyone's name and gave us a quick tour of the property when we arrived. Our room had a huge claw foot tub which was absolutely amazing! The next morning they hosted a Fox Hunt which was such a cool event to see in person. The Inn combines the ambiance of a historic plantation with modern conveniences. It's like stepping back in time 200 years but still having access to Wi-Fi and a Keurig in your guestroom. Doc and Paula Findley are personally involved in all aspects of Prospect Hill and their attention to detail is impressive. The service is impeccable, and the grounds are well-manicured. The cuisine was recently revamped, and an outstanding chef brought in. The result - meals that rival some of the best restaurants in the DC metropolitan area. Having visited some of the finest Inns in Virginia and Maryland, Prospect Hill has risen to the top as one of the best. The B&B is fantastic and the owner is equally fantastic. This review is for the restaurant. The food was very pretentious, our rack of lamb was very under done. The scallops were inedible and tasted like burnt cooking oil. The wine list was much to be desired. This isn't the early 90s please abandon the overly stylistic presentation. The food suffered greatly due to an antiquated sense of what high profile food should be. We will not be back with this "chef." read more

Prospect Hill is a lovely, historic retreat managed and maintained by equally delightful owners and staff. We stayed in Miss marcie's room which was very spacious, well appointed and decorated perfectly. Truly lovely. The room, although located above the main dining area was a perfectly quiet sanctuary. Without a doubt, the grounds are spectacular and worth taking in. Plan to spend time just enjoying the property. Breakfast was included and was exceptional. They accommodated vegetarian diets as well without compromising any taste or quality. For the Restaurant: A can't miss! While the greater Charlottesville area has many classic inns and restaurants to dine, Prospect Hill is among the best! French Cuisine at its BEST It was recommended that my wife and I dine at the restaurant while staying at the very charming and historic inn. Needless to say our dining experience both nights (yes both nights one was not enough) was outstanding to say the least. The presentation for each course was magnificent. The combination of ingredients in the various dishes took the palate to a place normally reserved for restaurants honored with three Michelin stars. The restaurant alone is worth the journey. I really don't know where to start in my review of Prospect Hill. Should it be: - The rooms / building itself? Covered in dust, grime, and "cleaned" by teenagers. We are not talking about the standard wear and tear of age that is expected with any "historical" area - we are talking about straight up garbage left by previous guests in the sitting areas, on the grounds (the wedding before us gave out red/black gift bags which littered the lawn), and the permeating stink of smoke which I am STILL trying to get out of my clothes. - The wedding venue? The chairs provided by the inn were the DINING ROOM chairs, which were dragged out to the lawn at the last minute by your staff. And you had the NERVE to accuse my guests of damaging a chair? And THREATEN to make me pay for it? If you don't want "antique" chairs to be damaged, then I suggest you leave them inside. - The injury my mother suffered in your building, which resulted in two major surgeries, a prolonged recovery where she couldn't drive for 4 months, and permanent nerve damage to her hand? Yeah, I guess that kind of seals the deal for me. A fall down stairs that were wet, improperly illuminated, and resulted in two broken arm bones on the day of the wedding. I can't quite capture how magical it was that the only staff member who found it necessary to be present was a teenage bartender, who couldn't call an ambulance or even find us a DAMN FLASHLIGHT. The owners, who live next door, couldn't be bothered to investigate lights and sirens coming to their main property? They really care so little about the welfare of their guests? - The co-owner, Paula Findley? Well, I should have known we were in for a treat when she gave us a tour of the Inn in what appeared to be a ripped mini skirt. Not only was this completely inappropriate for an owner of a business, it was also inappropriate for a woman of her advancing age. We saw neither hide nor hair of her (I guess for which we are grateful) during the pre-wedding and wedding festivities, which spoke of her complete disinterest in ensuring that the wedding we paid over $15,000 for was going well. She was sure, though, to send me a lengthy series of harassing emails after the wedding wherein she stated: - My mother was drunk and that's why she fell. No dear, my mother is in her late 60s, has a disability, and did manage to have half a glass of wine to celebrate her only daughter's wedding. My mom was also a Catholic nun for 25 years prior to meeting my father, so I'm sure she is the type of woman who would get drunk, fall on purpose, and fabricate a story. - Two of my wedding guests tried to take "catch and do something unseemly to our alpacas." You are SERIOUSLY accusing a doctor and an engineer (who were indeed tipsy near an alpaca enclosure. They're city guys, what do you expect?) of BESTIALITY? OF TRYING TO FUCK AN ANIMAL? That is so damn disgusting I don't know where to start. I can only assume what you and your cohorts are up to on the plantation in your spare time if that is the first assumption that comes to her mind. - Threatening me with legal action for delaying paying the remainder of the facility fee while the case with my mother was being mediated? Just charming. Oh, they did just offer us $100 off our return trip for our anniversary. So...I guess no thanks? read more

My wife and i have stayed here several times. The staff is SUPER friendly and accommodating. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and the history is intriguing. The real standout here though is the food. I have NEVER had better food and I have definitely never had it served in a more beautiful manner - each plate is like a work of art.
