What an amazing 3 night stay with my wife, celebrating 21 years of marriage! The hospitality and charm of this little gem is off the charts. Brigitta, the inn keeper, is a fantastic cook, host, and person! Only bad thing is I'm not looking forward to getting on the scale when I get home. :)

Excellent B&B. Quiet location about 15-20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and Monticello. There's only five guest rooms in the building, each of which is fairly similar with a nice 2 person whirlpool tub and a gas fireplace. A common kitchenette provides water, soda, coffee, tea, and ridiculously good freshly baked cookies. Dan and Kathryn are great hosts. They give you plenty of space, but it's easy to reach them if you need something. Lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spotless with a bottle of wine waiting for you. Breakfast at the communal table is a fun time. You get to learn a little about the other guests while enjoying a 3 course start to the day that puts most restaurants to shame. Free wifi signal is a little weak, but you should be out enjoying the town anyway. I'd definitely recommend Foxfield.

I highly recommend staying at the Foxfield Inn. Our host was attentive, courteous, and friendly. She ensured our dietary needs were met as well as providing delicious options. The grounds and rooms are meticulously cared for, and the atmosphere of the Inn is relaxing and inviting. On our stay we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and they helped make it an extra special weekend.

My husband and I chose this B&B to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen a better place. The owners truly thought of every last detail. The ambiance was calming and cozy, the grounds very well maintained, and the food to die for. We have never stayed in a B&B before but this place made us believers! Thank you for such a lovely little getaway. We certainly hope to return in the future!

The innkeeper knew it was our honeymoon- she made our room up to be so romantic & cozy.

We paid over $400 a night to stay in the 2 bedroom suite and it absolutely wasn't worth it. To enter the suite you have to walk through one of the bedrooms which is really awkward. Leaving and arriving through one of the bedrooms?? The first we noticed in the bedroom was the carpets were stained and filthy. The ceiling fansand ceiling air vents had dust caked on them, there were holes in the living room walls and almost every wall had marks and dirt on them. The other couple with us found hair in their bathroom shower. And breakfast was average at best. The innkeeper was very nice but maintenance of the property was clearly not a priority. The lights bulbs were out in multiple locations. How hard is it to fix that? And if you are a fan of security, don't expect any when you stay there. They don't lock the front door and there's no way to lock you're room when you leave for the day. Really? In today's crazy world? I'm telling you, don't let the pictures fool you.

On a quiet week day in the spring, we were able to enjoy the steep drive up the mountain and the views that greeted us without lots of people and cars coming and going. They also have lovely dish towels and many other such gift items. We recommend going both in the fall to be part of the festivities as well as in the spring and summer.

Views From the orchard's main patio, the panorama stretches across rolling hills, doted farms, and nearby towns. It was perfect fall view. Food The freshly baked donuts are a standout--light, fluffy, and lightly glazed with just enough sweetness to satisfy without overwhelming. The accompanying cookies are similarly delightful: crisp on the edges, chewy in the center, and speckled with bits of chocolate or oatmeal that ad texture. Both items are perfectly paired with a cup of hot cider. While the apple‑picking experience is a highlight for many, the combination of panoramic vistas, fresh donuts, and comforting cookies makes it a worthwhile destination even for those who prefer to stay on the ground. It's an ideal spot for a casual outing, a quick photo session, or a sweet snack break amid beautiful surroundings.
