Very weird 4 giants ipa, it's a fruity seltzer imo and nothing like an ipa
Mike D.

After 3 days in northwest area of Michigan 3 stars is a very good rating from me. The 4 of us can not tell if we don't like mid western food or if it simply isn't very good/healthy. We all had Flatbread which is vaguely like pizza. I ordered the veggie Flatbread, it was a pesto sauce, a tiny bit of cheese, black olives, jalapeno pepper and some bits of tomato on a fluffy bread. Where is the veggies, where is the Flatbread? Ipa beer from 4 Giants was gross. Not an ipa, more of a fruity seltzer. Suffice to say we didn't finish it or the Flatbreads. And this was an average meal we had on this trip. Had better, had worse.

Founders: green zebra (watermelon and sea salt)

While heading to Denver I chose to eat breakfast at the airport instead of at home because I was running late. As you walk through security you will notice prospect hill brewery paired with a founders sign. Being a huge fan of founders I chose this as my food/beer stop. Yes, it was breakfast time, but I'm on vacation and founders is good anytime of the day. Founders has its own menu at the bar if you're there for just their beer or you can pick something from the prospect hill menu if you want food or commercial beer. I chose the pulled pork sandwich. The meat was a little dry, but the bun was super fluffy and delicious. The pickles were just ordinary store bought pickles. The French fries were cooked and salted perfectly. Not a fan of frozen fries, but they were pretty good. I ordered the green zebra from the founders menu, and it delivered as usual. Founders has a rotating menu so don't expect to always see the same things on the menu. This is true at all their locations. Founders is it's own entity, and helps drive appeal and business for this location. The delicious founders beer definitely pulled me in. The Food is what you would expect from an airport. The Beer is what you would expect from Grand Rapids and more importantly founders. Service was great which is what makes the usual 3 star airport restaurants a 4 star. If I was just reviewing the founders beer then it would be a 5 star.

Traveling home fro Grand Rapids and was craving some food and a cider. I picked a fantastic place. The strawberry cider was so refreshing and delightful. I also ordered a bowl of chili that hit The spot. The staff was efficient and friendly and I made it to the gate in plenty of time.

Arrived at the airport way to early for my flight so that called for working and a beer. I arrived about 3pm on a Tuesday and was able to snag a seat as it's seat yourself. It started getting packed around 5pm. They have a good selection of beers and pretty nice bar options. The food menu had options but only one salad listed. It was very basic and at $18 not worth it. The service was slight hit with one waitress working it seemed it did get very slow when more people started to come in. She definitely needed help at peak time especially since it's an airport and people need to get on flights. Nothing to rave about but not a bad experience either.

Prospect Hill Brewhouse is exactly what the new expansion to the Grand Rapids airport needed. The moment you exit the security check into the terminal, you'll be able to see it. There's a large "Founders" sign that confuses you on what this place is called, but it is officially named Prospect Hill Brewhouse that serves Founders. If you didn't get to swing by the now famous brewery, Founders, in downtown Grand Rapids on your stay, you can now enjoy it before you fly out. This brewhouse is spacious and has plenty of bar and table seating right by large windows so you can watch the planes come in and out (well, it's not a busy airport so only if you get lucky will you see planes come and go as you sip a beer). If you like beer, you'll enjoy Founders and they even have a fruit beer for those of us who prefer sweeter drinks. In case you're the exception and hate Founders, they sell other beers, ciders, and more in a bottle/can. They also serve food. My wife and I ordered the parmesan fries and they were excellent (ask for a side of mayo for them). The service was the only downside. Maybe it's all of Grand Rapids, but they are soooooooooo slow. You'll have to ask for a menu, water, your order, your check, AND your credit card back. If you're in a rush, avoid this place.

Above average food, even for "airport food". They do have airport prices though. Big beer, liquor, and wine selection. Also, they have a nice view of the tarmac/ planes

We were literally just having cocktails while we wasted time waiting for our flight. That being said, the service was great, cocktails were strong, and location was pivotal (immediately past TSA checkpoint!). Price point was a little high, but that's to be expected at the airport. They did their best to replicate a outdoor cocktail hot spot - which I cannot imagine was easy - in an airport. I am sure we will stop again on our next trip to our home state..

Packed at 5pm

Disappointed in my first experience here. The ambiance is great. Long communal tables, nice decor. Very bright. I had approached the bar to place a to go order. The actual to go window was closed. It was 5pm, so the place was packed. The server told me to wait. I did. She was running around like a maniac. It looked very understaffed. I continued to wait. At this point the bartender/server gruffly told me,"There are other places in the airport serve food too." Wow. I didn't expect that. So I continued to wait. Finally placed the order. Cobb salad to go. The salad was ok. Glad they nailed the things I didn't want on the salad. Some lettuce was wilty but overall ok. I will try this location again, but I hope they work out their staffing.

Nice place to hang out with our flight delayed. Really glad it's here!

Great place in the Grand Rapids Airport for a pre-flight meal, or a snack and a drink when your flight is delayed. Today a lot of flights are delayed and this place is packed. The waitstaff, kitchen and bartenders are ON it. All around us, quick, friendly service. They are making it fun for us, a bunch of people who would normally be cranky. Our server Deanna was fabulous, so attentive despite how busy it is. Good experience here.

Luckily, I was able to snag a reservation for 6:45, so we found a few things to do nearby while we waited. Once we returned, we were seated upstairs, which I actually prefer. It's noticeably less crowded and quieter than the main floor, making for a more relaxed experience. The menu offers a great variety, and their draft list is especially impressive for beer lovers. This time, I ordered one of their meal deals with mac and cheese, along with pretzels and beer cheese. Portion-wise, it did feel a bit small, but for the price of the deal, it made sense. That said, the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The mac and cheese and beer cheese dip both lacked that rich, cheesy taste I was expecting. The mac and cheese also had quite a bit of topping/breading, and the sauce was fairly loose, almost soupy in consistency. Since this was my first time ordering it, I'm not sure if that's typical. Overall, it's still a great downtown spot that offers something for everyone. The service was prompt and helpful, which definitely added to the experience.

The bartender was our server, and she was kind and helpful. When deciding between two pizzas, she pointed us toward the one with ranch after she learned I love ranch. It might be one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. We had the Double Pep S.B. It was thin and crispy, with extra-crispy pepperoni and my dream ranch drizzled on it. It was so good, and we ate every bite. My hubby had a cider while I had a flight, so I could try many of their beers. There were so many flavors that I wanted to try, but I settled on the following for my flight: Lovely Day, Party Store, Wildflower, Super Juice Blood Orange, and Fiddle Stix. I couldn't pick a favorite between Lovely Day, Party Store, and Wildflower. The Super Juice flavor I picked was blood orange, but they had many other options that I would try if I lived there. We almost came back to eat and drink a second time since we don't live here, but resisted.

Atmosphere is always bumping--there's live music and other themed nights and it was jam packed on a Tuesday night. Vibes and beers are unmatched in my opinion. Big fan of the Golden Ticket and the Wilde Irish Red Ale or again, whatever is on cask. As far as the food goes, it's definitely... brown plates all around. Fryz'licious was slightly overpowering with the amount of beer cheese slopped on there, but a good bite with some hot sauce. Big fan of the beer cheese. Those Nantucket Backing pretzels are 10/10. Fish and chips weren't great. Not a lot of fish--two pieces with more batter than cod. Sort of disappointed with that. St. Patrick's Day specialty menu replaced their chicken pot pie with a sheperd's pie and a Bailey's cheesecake. Sheperd's pie was a good bite, exactly what I'd imagine lamb, mashed potatoes, and peas/carrots would taste like. Cheesecake was heavy handed on the booze, but a good palette cleanser after all the fried food.

As soon as you walk in, there are games, chips for sale, and a water cooler with reusable cups. The place was busy. Many folks eating and drinking. There were two seats at the bar, both on either side of a young lady; so I asked if I could take one and she said yes! As it turned out, she was an off duty employee just having a beer. We chatted a bit while I ordered a flight. I love that the flight is not limited. You can have as many 2.5 ounce beers as you want! Each are priced separately. I perused the food menu and checked out the merch. Sadly they did not have the tshirt I liked in my size. They also sell beanies, glassware and hoodies. Oh, and beer to go! I enjoyed the two IPAs with Good Good being my fave, followed by IPA#1. The porter was good and so was the Kona brown. The fade was my least fave, and it pretty much tasted like Guinness, but I did drink it all. I have preferences but I also have values! Lol. The off duty employee and I chatted awhile, even looping in the bar tender and my other bar stool neighbor, especially when it came down to naming the artists on the decorative candles (see pic). We were having so much fun that we decided on her having another beer and me getting a couple more samples. The Mosacca IPA was really good.
