A slice of coconut pie and apple pie

Decided to stop in as it's right next door to the hotel. Friendly waitress and staff! We got pie to go and let me tell you the pie is amazing!! Will be back for dinner and will have another slice of coconut pie.

This is the kind of dive bar everyone dreams about and guess what? They have really great food too!!!! The gems on the wall, the history, the employees, and even the owner really wowed us as tourists. I couldn't believe the history and wanted to spend the whole weekend there ! They have slot machines, darts, pool, oh and did I mention excellent prices ? Way to go trophy room! You are killin it !

I hope it's true that Prospect Cafe and Trophy Room has been sold!!! Rose Hall the owner is the most demeaning person I have ever worked for and I have had Clipboards been thrown at me. She has zero compassion and is just straight up mean. I have had to talk to a new hire which she made her cry!!! Please say it's true!!!!

    Veggie omelette, 3-pancake breakfast

Don't judge this place by the outside (or inside for that matter). Go in and get served by the nicest lady and get some classic breakfast food. It was a two woman show in there so expect to wait if it's busy but it's good breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. The veggie omelette was loaded with olives which was a bit odd and we paid ~$30 for our two meals but overall we enjoyed it.

    Notice on the front door

Stayed in Prospect for the night, and stopped at the cafe's adjacent saloon, the Trophy Room, for a drink. The sign on the front of the cafe door should have deterred us. It read: "In accordance with bureaucratic tyranny regarding regulation of private business, we are required by OSHA to post notice that masks are "required." However, we are in violation of other regulations regarding civil rights and dispensing medical advice by requiring specific behavior of anyone in order to be our guest here. So: This notice is posted to fulfill the absurd requirement to post an unenforceable notice. Incidentally, we suspect that anyone coming in here to rob the place would probably conceal his/her/their identity with a mask... Wear a mask if you feel that it is in your best interest for your health. (We have video surveillance.)" I don't know about you, but I don't trust a restaurant that thinks that OSHA health guidelines amount to "tyranny," or the suggestion that there's no way a private business could be capable of enforcing mask guidelines (which weren't even in effect at the time, incidentally). I also don't appreciate the veiled threat to mask-wearing customers. Anyway, we went into the bar against our better judgment. It was a little messy, with chairs pushed against the walls, but there were two pool tables and a handful of casino games, so we decided to say and play a game. There was a back patio with a friendly, fat old dog. The drinks were fine, but while we got them, we noticed that among all the taxidermy on the wall was the face of the Oregon governor (Kate Brown), poorly photoshopped onto a photo of Nazi flags, and framed with a toilet seat. Okay then. Looked to the TV and saw that they were airing - without apparent irony - the One America News Network, a "news" platform dedicated to conspiracy theories. We finished our game and our drinks quickly, and got out of there.

This review is more for the Trophy Room and lounge. This local, watering hole has animal mount all over the walls. Some pretty cool things. Bear, moose, deer, elk and a mixture of other things. We were going to sit at the bar and have a drink prior to heading back to the RV but there was a foul mouthed man sitting at the bar that didn't have a grip of the English language. Well maybe the 5th grade! I couldn't believe my ears and there were woman in the room!! I guess you can't fix stupid. I'll pass on this place again. It needs to be cleaned, dusted, scrubbed and disinfected. The best part of this place was the nice lady bartender and the table games. New da and we went to the Cafe today for lunch. This little local cafe is a hole in the wall type dive that is serving up some mighty great food. Our server Valerie was a great help and a great spirit at this joint. I had the beef vegetable soup and a mushroom hamburger with tater tots. Sara had a cheeseburger and tots. This was the best hamburger I've had since leaving Florida. It was almost as good as Hobos in North Palm Beach, FL. I recommend trying this spot out if you are ever in Prospect. Just stay out of the bar. Y'all don't need a bunch of foul mouthed buffoons ruining your day! Please ask for Valerie and tell her the big ugly guy from FL sent ya in. Enjoy

The warmth of the wooden interior, the welcoming smiles, and the comforting aroma of homemade food instantly make you feel at ease. The menu is packed with hearty, satisfying options that truly hit the spot. Breakfast is outstanding -- fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy hash browns, and generous portions that fuel you for a full day of exploring. Their country-style dishes are rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Lunch and dinner are just as impressive, with juicy burgers, comforting homestyle plates, and fresh, well-prepared ingredients in every bite. Of course, the highlight -- and what Beckie's Café is legendary for -- is the pie. The homemade pies are absolutely unforgettable. Flaky, buttery crust paired with perfectly sweet, fruit-filled centers make each slice taste like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Whether it's a classic apple or a seasonal berry variety, it's worth saving room for dessert. The service is just as memorable as the food. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming environment that makes you want to linger a little longer over coffee. It's clear this café has built its reputation over decades by doing things the right way -- quality food, warm hospitality, and consistency. If you're passing through Prospect or heading toward Crater Lake, Beckie's Café is a must-stop destination. It's more than just a meal -- it's an experience you'll look forward to repeating. Five stars, without hesitation.

The Toscana potato stew soup of the day sounded good, but it was mediocre. I would not order that again either. The lamb special ($45) was exceptional. Very fresh and probably the tenderest lamb we have tasted. Highly recommend it! The duck at $50, was OK, but it was definitely overcooked and well done. Certainly not worth the price. For dessert, we had the special mixed berry cobbler with ice cream. Very good and definitely don't miss it.

We were seated immediately, and our coffee and waters showed up almost instantly (always a great sign ). The place is a bit dated, but in a charming, homey way. I actually loved it -- cute decor and even a small jewelry area to browse while you wait... although "wait" might not even be the right word because the food comes out fast! My husband went with the chicken fried steak, and I ordered French toast from the light menu. We usually split a meal, but today we leaned into both sweet and savory -- and I'm glad we did.
