I had a really stellar experience with Prospect Auto Sales. Their lot was full of really decent cars and there were a lot of options under $10k. Great guys and their process was streamlined & easy. Details of my stellar experience: Firstly, they answered my emails immediately. I figured they may go into a black hole as dealers may use the phone more but the opposite happened. Every question or concern was addressed quickly; I never waited around for an answer. Secondly, they were extremely welcoming and let me try out about 5-6 different cars in one afternoon (rapid fire.. one after another). I had a feeling my car was on the lot but wasn't sure which one would be "it". They let me test the cars out and make my own determination. I even remember them pointing me to a lower priced car over a more expensive one when I was making my final decision. When I found the car I loved, I drove it twice that day. On the second drive, I remembered I had a work call to take and they let me sit in their office at their desk and take my call w my headphones and laptop. No judgment at all that I lost track of time. They were extremely accommodating but in a very relaxed way. I am lucky they knew to buy this car from the auction because somehow I got a car that drives brand new for $6995! The car is old but it's almost impossible to tell. I've been showing it off for 2 weeks and asking friends an family what year it is. They all thought it was 8-10 years newer. Thirdly, once I picked the car they were quick with the paperwork but patient with me getting all the loan details sorted out. They even advocated that I go with my own credit union over any banks they had relationships with. They didn't even ask me for a deposit which was surprising but it helped build trust between us; they new I would come through with the check. I didn't even try to negotiate because I knew the car was priced right and I felt very comfortable that I was getting a great deal. Love the car & so glad they saw this gem and picked it up! It drives amazing & they even put in a new battery right before I got it. PS - I used to own a 2015 ILX and I can hardly tell the difference with this 2004 TSX. We bought a Honda Pilot here for my husband many years ago and David the owner was great. It was our first time here. We live in Maynard and he let us take the car home for the night to let our mechanic look at it. We bought the Honda and love it. Last fall my car died unexpectedly and we were scrambling to find something. We let David know what we were looking for and we test drove some cars, but we ended up getting a car somewhere else. When my husband called to let David know, his response was, "oh good I'm so glad that you found something". David is a class act and a very honest man. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM PROSPECT AUTO SALES! Sold a lemon of a car to us. However we drove it past the miles before we could claim it.(moved across the country) They did absolutely nothing to help the situation except a "too bad". They make cars look pretty on the outside while the internals are basically falling apart. David now hangs up on us and when we call. Terrible people, do NOT trust them or give them your money. Not sure why the discrepancy? Wanted to purchase a Tacoma that is currently listed on the True Car's website and Prospect Auto's website. Both websites state that the truck has 88,300 miles, however the truck's odometer reading in the posted picture says 128,144 miles? I really wanted to purchase the truck until I noticed the discrepancy. I read the negative review on Yelp, and now believe that the reviewer may be spot on. It's a shame, but I have to pass on the vehicle. read more

BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! Buying a car from David and Nick was so easy and fast and pleasant! Though I just met both of them, they treated me like family. They were so very helpful in getting me through the financing piece of buying a car. I was new to this experience and David educated me about it with out being pushy or demeaning. My daughter, who is 20 and just started college, went to Prospect Auto Sales to purchase her 1st car. Scott, the drunk - who David constantly hired, fired and rehired, was finally let go and David took over. David PROMISED us he was giving my daughter a "great car" and I was there the whole time asking and REasking him if there is "anything" wrong with the car. He kept saying no. Unfortunately, I didn't know any mechanics that could be with me and my daughter when looking for cars. My daughter had the car for 6 months and her BRAKES FAILED almost causing a horrible crash. My daughter called David and she was trying to explain to him what happened and he HUNG UP on her --- maybe because she is only 20 and he "failed" as a man / salesperson to "listen to his customer". I called and he "PROMISED" to get back to me and NEVER did. When I tried to call him, he "BLOCKED" me. Who does that? And mind you, I only called him ONE time. Come to find out, it is the Master Cylinder that went. The auto mechanic called David and David told him, "YOU deal with them" and the auto mechanic said,"they only want answers and it's not nice how you are handling this"... David hung up on him too. - (will be giving this mechanic an outstanding review as he has been kindly working with me for the past few weeks pertaining to this issue) I am STRONGLY suggesting that NO ONE go to David. He is LIAR, THIEF, and a MISERABLE SOB. A typical car salesman with the best smile at the beginning and then ignores ANY problems you encounter. I should have walked away when he hires, fires, and rehires drunks. --- DAVID told me that himself. I am sure there are other dealerships with more honest people than that joke of a man. read more

I called 2 days ago about a car and was told it was still available, before hanging up the person at Prospect told me "make sure you call ahead before you drive here to make sure it's still available". This morning I call again and specifically said, before I drive all the way there, I am coming from quite a distance to check out the car, is this car still available and again I'm told, yes it's still here. I tell them OK, I am leaving now and, on my way,...see you soon. I drive a little over 2 hours one way there only to have them tell me "sorry, we sold that car 5 minutes ago but I have others I can show you" Completely annoyed that I have just wasted gas and my time, round trip almost 5 hours, I tell the person sitting behind the desk, "I specifically called you to tell you I was interested, driving from far away, and on my way only to get here and the car is gone?" The response I received..."sorry, they had cash". I get the whole first come first serve way of doing business, but I called them ahead of time, I took the afternoon out of work, wasted my time driving up there for nothing. Not a good way to run your business and I was definitely not interested in looking at any other vehicles that they had after experiencing that. Not a good experience. PS. I had cash too. read more

The worst experience I have ever experienced as a new car buyer. I tried buying a car and put in my down payment but I changed my mind the next day and told them that unfortunately I won't be able to take the car but I was immediately shouted at and they were so rude to me and my dad and told us to get out of their dealership. My downpayment of $4500 was just taken like that and yet the car wasnt yet registered in my names coz I had not paid insurance for it which technically means it was still owned by the dealership. I hadn't driven the car out of the dealership because I changed my mind and wasn't buying it. But all my savings I had for a year that I worked for day and night to buy a new car one day, was just taken like that. I cried coz i had some emergencies I got thats why I changed my car but no one was willing to listen to me. I don't know if I will ever get my money back but I really need it. I wish I had someone to stand up against them and get my money back but none. And to anyone who wants to buy any car, please and please don't use that dealership or else you will be like me. After them getting your money they turn into vampires and forget how Hard people work for that money read more

In the past I have had a lot of experiences with New/Used Car Dealers. This was the best I have ever had, "NO HIGH PRESSURE SALES JARGON". Everything was completed within a relaxed atmosphere and to top it off David is going to deliver the vehicle to our home. I must also comment that none of the vehicles on this lot have been damaged in accidents as noted by a previous reviewer. I've worked in sheet metal all my life and I would recognize repaired sheet metal if there was any....and there was none on any of the vehicles I looked at. My son just purchased his first car from Scott and Dave. They couldn't have been more helpful. The car was an older Accord that seemed to be in great shape. They had their mechanic fully evaluate it to make sure it was safe and mechanically sound. There were a few things that needed repair, and they did it on their dime!
