When I reach out to Jimmy, receipt in hand to refer to, he claims that because it was just over a year ago there's nothing he can do about it. My mistake was paying them cash and not by card to file a dispute. Will never make that mistake again. Jimmy never apologized and never took accountability-- that's the part that took me aback b/c I honestly felt like Jimmy was a nice guy and seemed honest. Not sure who's to blame but I don't appreciate shelling out $300 only to find out none of the work was done and no apology. I do believe that they are overwhelmed with the amount of cars that come in everyday and the guys are possibly overworked. Still doesn't excuse what happened! So glad I never came here raving about them.. give it time and I'm sure they'll be forgetting about your car too.

But once you find it, you'll discover an honest mechanic who truly knows his stuff. I came in to get a second (and honestly third) opinion after the dealer tried to tell me I needed a bunch of work done that didn't quite add up. The dealer's estimate was sky-high, and another local shop wasn't much better. Here, the owner took the time to actually show me what was wrong with my car, explaining everything clearly and breaking it down piece by piece. Turns out, I only needed a new control arm and brake caliper, not the laundry list of unnecessary repairs the dealer was pushing. The owner definitely has a personality--he's a very funny guy. I could tell right away he's a genuinely good guy who takes pride in being honest with his customers. I read some of the other reviews before coming in, and after my experience, I have to say: they've got him all wrong. My visit was completely different--transparent, fair, and friendly from start to finish. His daughter works there too, and she's the perfect complement to her dad--so kind, friendly, and patient, making sure all my questions were answered and that I understood everything before leaving.

So after speaking I decided to go forward with the repairs my own fault I should have gotten a written estimate prior to repairs not just a verbal agreement and I should have checked the parts myself but I didn't. Fast forward to a couple days later when I pick my car up I am then informed he didn't need to fix a couple parts in the rear suspension however, the price was still the same yes odd but then I was informed he damaged my rear passenger side door while he had it up on the lift and when damaged I mean smashed completely needed to be completely replaced however, instead of calling me to inform me he damaged MY vehicle he took it upon himself to call a junkyard and put a door that was damaged and had no child lock which I use to keep my 4-year-old form attempting to open the door I informed him but due to it being the holiday weekend he made it as no big deal I will fix it after the holiday and cover expenses, agh yeah you damaged it. I just paid and left at this point one more thing would just tip my stress level to max and I just wanted to get out of there. I called him on that Wednesday s after the 4th since it was a holiday weekend and most places were closed to inform him when I go over bumps Im hearing a clunking noise which I didn't even hear before I fixed my suspension he told me he was swamped could I bring it on Monday I agreed and his mechanic took a drive with me and told me that noise is normal because it's a new stuff suspension yeah I don't think so but I brought my car to my auto body guy who had done some body work a while back and he had a mechanic of his check the door to make sure nothing else was damaged. He informed me if this guy is going to do the body work this is what needs to be done so it's done right. I spoke with the owner Paul before having his auto guy touch my car as to what I required as far as him painting my car door. He was compliant and agreed until I informed him that if while he had my vehicle and if anything else happens before you fix, order a part etc. Call me first he informed me he didn't with my door because it was 4th of July weekend he was busy and then said how he got sick after the 4th which I don't understand how you getting sick a week after or even days after had an effect but ok first call should have been to me the owner not a junk yard. He told me he would give me the parts numbers and then said he wasn't giving me anything, raised his voice Im not trying to get over on anyone in fact I think he said I was. I don't know how a paying customer is trying to get over on him. You pay for something to get fixed you want the job done just like you wanted the money when the job was complete. To sum it up I paid him for a crappy suspension job which is loud over bumps and I was informed could be the bushings weren't changed. So now I am still dealing with my cars suspension and after Paul the owner yelling at me and telling me to shut up right this great guy lol I wouldn't let him "fix" anything on my car. True colors always shine through and when confronted with his scammer ways he exploded. He charged me $419.17 each to be exact for for KYB front quick struts. Retail they don't even go for $200 so he charged me double what he paid which I paid for my door he damaged myself in the long run. When I asked him to show me the invoice to what he paid he told me to "shut the hell up" and "this is what you do bring your car to shops" agh yes I wanted my car fixed and you could have proved me wrong with just showing me the invoice but he couldn't because he knows he over charged me. So now I am going through small claims court to get my door fixed. IF YOU DECIDE TO FIX YOUR CAR WITH THIS PLACE PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION FIRST, GET AN ESTIMATE PRIOR TO REPAIR AND DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH FOR WHAT THE PARTS COST !!!!!! Check engine light was on, the whole deal. Mike took care of it all. While my crummy insurance company didn't help at all, Mike resolved all of my car's issues and did a heck of a job doing it. - Mike has extensive experience working on cars, especially Subarus and turbocharged vehicles. This was especially awesome to learn, given that my car is a Subaru Forester Turbocharged. Mike knew his stuff. He showed me all the things that needed attention and broke down the cost. He didn't make any repairs until I saw and authorized them. He showed me parts that were worn, explained why they needed to be replaced. He even does tires and balancing. It cost me a bit to have this work done, but Mike isn't going to screw you over. He's passionate, energetic, and truly enjoys his work. And as an added plus, he brings his awesome dog, Clifford, to work. Clifford is a Rhodesian Ridgeback and super super friendly. Six or seven months later the paint on the repaired area started bubbling, and small dots appeared across the surface. That is not how a new bumper behaves. It is what happens when filler is used over an existing damaged panel. I brought the car back and they redid the work. The same bubbling and the same dots returned a few months later. Two attempts, the same failure both times. I will not be going back, and I do not believe I received the new bumper I paid for.

I figured they may go into a black hole as dealers may use the phone more but the opposite happened. Every question or concern was addressed quickly; I never waited around for an answer. Secondly, they were extremely welcoming and let me try out about 5-6 different cars in one afternoon (rapid fire.. one after another). I had a feeling my car was on the lot but wasn't sure which one would be "it". They let me test the cars out and make my own determination. I even remember them pointing me to a lower priced car over a more expensive one when I was making my final decision. When I found the car I loved, I drove it twice that day. On the second drive, I remembered I had a work call to take and they let me sit in their office at their desk and take my call w my headphones and laptop. No judgment at all that I lost track of time. They were extremely accommodating but in a very relaxed way. I am lucky they knew to buy this car from the auction because somehow I got a car that drives brand new for $6995! The car is old but it's almost impossible to tell. I've been showing it off for 2 weeks and asking friends an family what year it is. They all thought it was 8-10 years newer. Thirdly, once I picked the car they were quick with the paperwork but patient with me getting all the loan details sorted out. They even advocated that I go with my own credit union over any banks they had relationships with. They didn't even ask me for a deposit which was surprising but it helped build trust between us; they new I would come through with the check. I didn't even try to negotiate because I knew the car was priced right and I felt very comfortable that I was getting a great deal. Love the car & so glad they saw this gem and picked it up! Anyway, to make a long story short day, accepted my daughter's vehicle and gave her an appointment within three days of me speaking to them on the phone. I brought my daughters vehicle. They did an appraisal on it and gave me a written estimate for the work that had to be done. This was a special case I'm not sure if they charge everyone for an estimate but my daughter brought it to a bad shop so her timing belt was fixed in incorrectly so they had to investigate before doing any work open up the compartment and check everything out.. They were extremely fair with the pricing. I believe I got an honest estimate and they went ahead and sent it to me via email and I approved it through the electronic system. it took approximately five days for them to complete the job. They needed special parts and special tools. the whole time I was kept up-to-date. Everything was definitely handled professionally. After three days, they asked me if I wanted a loaner car, this was the only negative kind of a hilarious part of my transaction with them. I went to pick up the loaner vehicle and I'm not sure what possessed me to take a peek around around the whole vehicle. I noticed that the inspection sticker was out of date so even though they offered to let me use a car for free at that point just left it there and went home. a couple days later my daughter was finished she went. They accept all sorts of payments cash payment I believe and credit cards. Her bill was extremely reasonable for the inspection and the work that had to be done. I would 100% to David and his crew. I believe they're hard-working and the shop is clean and presentable. I would bring an $80-$100 K car here for them to work on it no problem.

I submitted my car for sale and received a very good offer from the dealership. I drove all the way there after speaking with Joe, making it very clear that I was only selling my vehicle and was not interested in buying another vehicle. I specifically told him that I wanted the offer I had received to be honored. Once I arrived, however, the dealership came up with every possible reason to reduce the offer--ultimately lowering it by approximately $6,000. The explanation? Apparently, their algorithm had made a mistake on the original offer. Now they're blaming the technology. It's interesting that the algorithm was apparently smart enough to make the original offer, but somehow became wrong once I showed up at the dealership. I have documentation proving exactly what happened, including the original offer, the mileage, and the condition of my vehicle. There wasn't one spec of damage on it--it was essentially a brand-new vehicle. And I should have known something wasn't right when I overheard one of their employees going after an elderly customer, trying to convince him that his vehicle wasn't worth what he thought it was and that they didn't even want it. That really bothered me. It makes me wonder how many people--especially elderly customers or people who aren't familiar with the car-buying process--have been put in similar situations. If the dealership responds to this review with an explanation, that's fine. I will respond with the documentation and proof of what actually happened. I am also submitting my documentation to the Better Business Bureau and Massachusetts consumer affairs authorities and asking them to review my experience with this dealership. I can only imagine how many other customers may have experienced something similar without having the documentation or knowledge to challenge it. Do yourself a favor: read the reviews, get everything in writing, and be very careful before making the trip to this dealership.
