We started working with Prosource in early March at the recommendation of a local independent contractor to check out flooring, cabinets and countertops for our kitchen remodel. We stopped in on a Saturday and spent most of our time browsing floor options. We worked initially with Alexandra, who was very helpful when looking at photos of our home. She was very informative when it came to styles and options and allowed us to check out several samples to take home. Before the end of our visit, she referred us to another associate to discuss counters and cabinets. He was initially very helpful as we looked at options to fit our budget and space. Eventually, we went with another manufacturer for custom cabinets, so we were now considering only countertops with Prosource. Fast forward 3 months - we found another material we liked at Superior Marble in Portsmouth, which Prosource also carried. We were excited to learn that they could provide and install for nearly $3k less than Superior and with a faster turnaround time. When it came to getting the invoice and contract from the associate at Prosource, he became harder to get hold of. He would promise information and never provide it; would not return emails or phone calls or would do so weeks later. We had to send multiple requests via email and phone for composed estimates and paperwork to sign and to schedule the templating. He ended up leaving the company and we got passed around to 3 or 4 other people to help us with templating the countertops and scheduling installation. Of note, they also requested payment in full to even get scheduled. We paid and got on the schedule for a month later (Jul 30th). After template, it was 2 1/2 weeks to install (Aug 18th). They had a subcontractor complete the template and installation - Mike - and he was great to work with. We did have some issues after installation - sharp edges, a stain and a slight chip after installation and he returned within 2 weeks to take care of those issues and make sure we were satisfied, which we are! Other than the back and forth with associates @ Prosource which were a slight headache, I have no hesitation recommending the product we purchased. We saved a good chunk of money, but it came at the cost of a wait, which was overall worth it. I would consider returning when we renovate our bathrooms in the near future. read more

We purchased cabinets a year or so ago/ we needed stain that matched to stain our door. When we called originally we were told Sherwin Williams could match the stain color. NOT TRUE!! We tried them all and two of their best tried- waste of money. So we called ProSource back. They never returned any of my emails or calls. I spoke with Green Forest in Chesapeake directly, unfortunately they cannot sell direct to the public. THANK YOU DAVES CABINETS FOR SAVING THE DAY!! Our second most recent experience with ProSource was as bad as the first. Many contractors use this business because it's convenient for them, but ProSource promises and fails to deliver. For example, you purposely forgo a better choice of materials for promised guaranteed in stock items to ensure that your job stays on schedule because it's financially critical that it be completed on time. You explain to the ProSource salesman that's it's critical and he promises that the materials are in stock. However, when half your order arrives a week later you discover that remainder is back ordered for at least a month. So...what happened to in stock? Why didn't you tell me it was out of stock when I very specifically asked if it was in stock? Did you not check it like you assured me that you did? Now I'm losing money. Our first bad experience was about seven years ago and involved flooring that failed six months after install. It supposedly had a 25 year warranty that ProSource absolutely went out of their way to not honor. Don't trust their "floor inspectors." Here's some advice. If your contractor insists on using ProSource, find a different contractor. You know the saying about "twice bitten." Yeah, never again ProSource. I'll chop my own trees, hand saw my own flooring, form my own tile from clay and fire it in a hand dug furnace before I use you again. read more

New to ProSource. We wanted granite countertops in our kitchen. ProSource took our specifications and came back with a quote from one of their installers. The installer came out to measure and scheduled the install. They came out did their job. Just a little confusion on our part about contacting the installer or ProSource about scheduling. ProSource is the supplier; and the installers are essentially the contractors. Our granite countertops are perfect! I will not hesitate to use them again when needed. read more

My brother & I were remodeling my bathroom and were in need of a 36" tub which is not the standard tub. He was here from Michigan doing the remodel so time was of the utmost importance to find one and install it so we could do the tile. Pro Source had the tub and within a week even despite Hurricane Florence we received it. I was very happy about that. However, my disappointment is from the fact that the stop supply drain we ordered was not what we had requested. I wanted a pop up not a cable operated drain system. I didn't want cable operated or plastic. I needed a pop up. So when I asked for what the return policy is they said I could return it but there would be a restocking fee, and a return freight fee. What cost me 119.00 once returned I received 67.00. Almost half of what I paid. They should definitely make it a point to tell their customers any return will be charged these extra charges. I was really hoping my next bathroom remodel I would solely order from them, but now I am second guessing that idea because of the loss I could incur. The people were very nice and helpful, their products are amazing but this return policy is a bummer. read more

I have never been treated so poorly by management of a company. I worked for a builder and believed Pro Source was a great company but they fail to handle situations properly and timely. We used them for purchasing materials for a bathroom renovation. We had an issue and needed to return an item, and while the sales staff was helpful (Ashlee and Ann) the manager Andrew lacks integrity. The woman handling our return gave false information and we purchased another, more expensive item. Months later our return had never been processed and after calling multiple times Andrew the manager lied to my face. When approached by the fact he said the item was returned and it hadn't been his response was "well I assumed it had been". We are talking about a $2,000 item. I've asked to speak to higher management and after being promised to receive a phone call back Andrew left for vacation and us in the wind. It's sad that a company doesn't care about their smaller patrons like my family, but I know for a fact they have returned items and refunded the full cost of those items to companies. read more

I bought bathroom cabinets, granite, hardwood floors and tile from ProSource. the sales people were very nice to deal with and helped in the process of picking out materials. However, I was told that left-over materials could be returned for a 10% restocking fee. When I went to return left over materials (several boxes of flooring, glue, insulation, tile, grout, etc., I was told that they will not take back any of the materials, even though none of it was opened. Buyer beware, I used their recommended pros to measure the jobs, and they over estimated all materials, therefore, I was stuck with over $1800 of materials I could not return or use. I will never use them again and recommend you do the same! read more

Beware. Do not pay Pro Source directly and be prepared to sue your contractor. On 2/26/2020, ProSource released my materials ($1,753.20) to my contractor, Chase Womack, after the materials arrived later than the time frame that I was informed of (order processed 3 or 4 days after payment). As of 8/28/2020, I have not received my $1,753.20 worth of materials that I paid for in February. All ProSource staff could tell was to file a police report for stolen materials that they released to Chase Womack. This is bad business. Homeowners have no rights and subject to theft. read more

I don't know if it's the aloof staff having fun joking and making grab ass remarks at the front desk or if it's the issue where the employees go out of their way to answer a phone call over talking to a client in front of them but every time I have come to make a major purchase there has been an Issue. The most recent incident the clerk didn't have my correct information down and didn't provide me with a receipt, is that even policy? Along with that I asked her to please not call my personnel cell phone during my working hours and that's exactly what she did. These people have "got it together" and will make things so much easier for you if you are trying to do a renovation. We are doing a master bathroom and we walked in the store and we were greeted right away. They took our measurements and were able to help us match our shower tiles, floor tiles, the cabinets, the countertops, and more. Our salesman, Andrew was AWESOME!! He patiently brought out tile samples and tried to make things work for particular situation and helped us save money. We went shopping at other places before going here, big box stores and wholesale places and there was no comparison to the service we received here. I have been a customer of ProSource for almost a year now. I re-floored an entire 2,400 sq. ft home with their products. I have been and continue to be impressed with the professionalism of this company. Carpet Installation: The amount of knowledge about the carpet I was purchasing combined with their understanding of my needs allowed me to receive the best product for the best price. I allowed, and ProSource chose, the installer for the carpet. The installer was prompt, but due to a family emergency, one of the two installers had to go home that day. The remaining installer was so efficient and professional I was at a loss for words when he finished ahead of his estimated time. The carpet looks beautiful and has been in for six months without deterioration, seam shows, or bunching! Wood Flooring: I chose a beautiful eucalyptus engineered hardwood for a landing, stairway, and downstairs portion of my home. The process of buying and receiving the wood was one of the best experiences of my life. On the day of pickup there were a couple of boxes that had been damaged when received by ProSource (not ProSource's fault but the quality of shipping by the vendor). Without a word to the loader, he set those aside and would not release them to me. The quality control was apparent from the beginning. When the stair nosing arrived and was not packaged correctly, the store manager personally got involved and contacted the manufacturer for an expedited shipment of replacement pieces. The floor went in amazingly well and looks beautiful. The customer service was amazing. ProSource has gotten a couple of bad reviews on here and I have to question why this is. I dealt with a half of a dozen employees and every single one was unquestionably considerate and professional. There were a couple of instances, beyond ProSource's control, of manufacturing defects and other poor manufacturing procedures but ProSource handled them quickly, efficiently, and always on my, the customer's, side. After dealing with big box stores and others in the business, ProSource is my number 1 choice by leaps and bounds. read more
