Hubby has had a pair of Proof sunglasses for years. The hinge recently broke off. I emailed them to ask if they could fix them. The answer I got back was they don't make them anymore. Our family has bought at least a dozen pairs of their awesome, stylish wood frame sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses. We always get lots of compliments. The frames are light and comfortable. The glasses come with microfiber cases for cleaning/storage and wooden boxes for protection. After years of use, two side pieces broke/were loose so we sent them back for repairs which were done quickly and professionally. Proof's ads are creative and fun. Their store is beautiful! You may recognize this biz by its team's appearance on Shark Tank. They should have taken the money. They might have learned to build a good customer service organization. In April, I purchased a pair of their bamboo wood sunglasses. This was an on-line purchase and the glasses were shipped in a cool wooden case. Within 30 days, the frames had broken. They were worn a total of 4 times and the frame breaks and lens fall out. i expected a easy return/replace process, not unlike the super folks at Maui Jim's. Not, these guys, 6 weeks after the broken glasses were returned and after prompting from me they responded. Sorry these glasses are out of warranty, but we will send you a 25% off coupon for your next purchase. There will be no next purchase. This buyer got burned. read more

As someone who has bought multiple pairs of proof sunglasses in the past, it pains me to say I will never be purchasing from them again. This summer I went into their downtown Boise shop to purchase my 3rd pair after losing 2 pairs that I had purchased earlier in the year. I was told by the sales associate that the pair I had purchased came with a warranty. She explained that if I broke or even lost the sunglasses, proof would replace them once at no cost to me. I thought this was odd, so I double checked, and she again confirmed what she had previously said. This very much sold me and I thought because of this I would be a lifetime customer. I walked out elated with my new sunglasses. Fast forward a few months and on day one of my vacation I lost my beloved sunglasses in the ocean. I went into the store today to pick up my replacement pair and was told they would not give me my replacement pair. The sales associate said that all warranty only applied to factory defects and that all of the people that currently work there now know the rules, and the former associate did not give me correct information. I feel lied to. As someone who constantly loses sunglasses, proof lost a lifetime of business from me today. read more

Terrible customer service and deceptive business practices. Placed an order with expedited shipping selected. I get a tracking email that very same day so I think everything is fine. 3 days later and the USPS still hasn't received my package. I send my first email asking them what is going on, I get no response. A few days later I send another email asking what the delay is and still no response. It's been a week now and my package has still not been received by the USPS and I send yet another email. I finally get a reply saying this was the first email they've received, which is a lie. They then tell me that my package was sent to the wrong address and that it's on it's way. They thank me for my patience. No updated ETA, no apology, nothing. I post a 1 star review on their website lambasting the customer service and it is instantly deleted. I post the exact same review, only this time with 5 stars and surprise surprise it is still up on the website. They have no customer service phone number, the only phone number I could find simply has a message telling you to email them. So it's very easy for them to just ignore people. Completely untrustworthy company that I would avoid. read more

Got these shades a year ago. and went into the shop to buy another pair for my gf. They were super helpful in helping me choose a pair for her bday and even hooked me up with some stickers and a keyring for coming in. Customer for life. I get compliments on my shades all the time. I wore my sunglasses maybe 6 times before they broke in half slicing my hand open. I contacted the company twice for an exchange before they got back to me. I offered to mail the glasses back in hopes of an exchange. They were unwilling to accept the an exchange due to no proof of purchase. I had explained these sunglasses were purchased through a third party boutique and do not have a proof of purchase. After a long chain of rude correspondences and a few solicitations to purchase additional accessories such as a leather case for my broken sunglasses nothing was accomplished. Proof does not stand behind their product and they have lost me as a customer. read more

Commenting on the product and online experience alone: I ordered a pair of sawdust sunglasses. After about 10 months the wood snapped. Customer service was very prompt to reply and sent me a piece to repair it with. However, it is 3 months later and one of the arms has bent irregularly. My experience with the company has been great, and their products are cool and stylish. However if you are looking for something to last you more than a year I might reconsider. read more

***Glasses are WAY too expensive for the quality! I bought a pair of the new Sawtooth frames from the Proof website for my husbands bday...he had wanted a pair and I was so excited when they arrived. I opened the box to find that one of the lenses had already FALLEN OUT! and to top it off the engraving of the style on the frame was spelled SAWTHOOTH! Looked like a total knock off! I'm in the process of getting my refund, customer service is a joke, they never answer and when they do I feel like I am talking to some college bum. They claim a refund within 5 business days of receiving the glasses. I put tracking on my order and it has been 2 weeks since they got the glasses back. I'm afraid with their 30 day return policy that I will never see my money again. read more

little late on this, but, great customer service and great product(s) shouldn't go unmentioned... i received a pair of PROOF sunglasses as a gift, and i loved them. shortly after, one of the arms (?) broke. i went to the store where my boyfriend purchased them, but they did not have anymore of those exact ones in stock. they told me to reach out to PROOF directly, and assured that they were a great company and very easy to deal with. so, i did. levi denmark assisted me, and went above and beyond any expectations. he was afraid they might not have any of those exact sunglasses in stock either at the time, and suggested sending out replacement temporary glasses until they had more of the others... I was very impressed at how eager levi was to make sure i was satisfied and had some shades in the meantime. as it turned out, he found the ones i needed and sent them out the next day. i highly recommend PROOF sunglasses, and highly commend their team (assuming they are all as great as levi). read more
