Ive ordered online a few times and they never disappoint! My goto is the spaghetti vodka pasta which they dont overcharge like every other pizzeria around the area ! The portion is perfect, enough for leftovers the next day. If you get extra toppings they're very generous. One time i got extra sausages and they threw a bunchful! Pronto Pizza shops on Staten Island have officially lost their minds. Having not been on Staten Island for a while, I had an urge for simple plain cheese pizza slices. I visited the Richmond Avenue location and asked for two unheated slices to go. I did notice the pie itself was smaller than in the past. It had a moderate amount of cheese. I was floored when the clerk said two slices were $7 and some change. What an absolute example of price gouging. Only a mile and a half away, the Pizza Shop on Sneden Avenue gives you (on Monday and Tuesday) eight slices for $10.80. I don't want to hear that there is a quality difference because there's not, or some garbage about inflation. In fact, the Pizza Shop's pizza tasted better. I will never go back to any Pronto location again and will have everyone I know avoid them and go elsewhere. Stop ripping off your neighbors. read more

I order from pronto often, but tonight the pizza was horrible. It was drenched in oil, the crust is stuck to the paper underneath. It was cold, the cheese tasted like it has been sitting there for hours.. I have never seen the breading under the cheese get stuck to the paper they put under it. I called pronto and told them all this and MIKE responded saying because I ate one slice there is nothing they can do.. I order from them every other day and that's the response I get? Because I tasted the pizza hoping it was ok to eat despite the way it looked he wouldn't send me a fresh pie. Maybe if I did not eat a slice he would take the pie back and do what with it? Pronto used to be amazing back when they had only one location on Bay Street. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. Now their prices have skyrocketed and the food at every location feels bland. They're the Bose or Apple of pizza parlors on Staten Island: They used to be synonymous with great taste and that's their excuse to charge super high prices. $11 for a meatball hero. lol. Their heros are very good though, especially the bread. But when you used to get one for $7 and now it's $11 it makes you less enthusiastic. Make sure you order online and use the coupon code "web10" to save 10%. Around the time they introduced their website and that coupon code, they also raised their prices a bit, maybe figuring that it would even out. If you want super great tasting pizza and a unwelcoming staff , then this place is perfect . Every time I go in there the food is so wonderful but the male staff that run the place and make the pizza never greet you or say any thing. I been there a few times but I never feel welcome there . My mom was once there . She asked for her pizza to be placed in a bag and not a box and the girl at the counter informed her yes but she got a pizza box so my mom asked her to please fix that. The guy running the place jumped in and yelled at my 78 year old mom. I just wish I was told when it happened. I will not be going there ever again. I will be going around the block to Euro' pizza. Not great pizza at all...not even decent. If you allow this pizza to cool down even a tiny bit the cheese will harden up and just slide off the dough all together. Their tomato sauce is a bit dry and pasty too. Very disappointing pizza. read more

Have to tell you... we order from Pronto regularly and it's always been excellent but lately it's not been that good. We've given it multiple tries and it's still been sub par. I don't know if they changed ingredients, process or chefs but I have to say I'm really disappointed. This used to be my go to and now I have to find a new spot. I came in to grab a late night slice, the girl behind the counter helping us was approximately 16-17 years old. A young woman working on a weekend which is nice to see. She was respectful and nice, the pizza guy/owner (not really sure who he was) was hovering over her the entire time taking our order. 1. That would make anyone uncomfortable 2. She's obviously learning and 3. He called her STUPID..... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Calling anyone, let alone a young woman who is obviously just trying to learn and get her hands wet with most likely her first job is disgusting. Thirty five minutes later and still having not received my order after almost 2 hours, I called back and cancelled my order. They then told me to wait three to five business days for a refund. This place is very near my home but never ordered from them before. I ordered today from them and did it online. It was so much easier. The menu was very accurate and descriptions were great. The prices were far better than most joints around town. The delivery of the food came quick and was hot and delicious. Ordered a large half plain/half pepperoni pie with extra cheese, 2 sodas, and an order of zeppoli's. By far, the best pie I have had in Staten Island in a long time. A definite thumbs up. * This review is on their regular and Sicilian pies, as well as their service. To this day, this is the best pizza on Staten Island. When I say "pizza," I mean REAL pizza, and not that terrible yuppy fancy garbage that places like Denino's, Brother's, Spumoni Gardens, Lee's Tavern, Nona's, Pier 76, Joe & Pat's, and the rest make. This is actual NY pizza. The crust is not cardboard, the mozzarella fills the entire slice, and the sauce isn't a puddle. Pronto's sauce is slightly sweet, and their crust is perfectly fluffy and not too hard. It's not flat pizza and has some mass to it. The size of the pie and slices are typical and enough to feed a family. Their pepperoni and sausage slices are also fantastic. When the oil drips from the crust after folding your slice, you know you're in the right place. Their Sicilian pies are also gigantic and super thick, and could possibly feed more than just a family alone. The cheese and sauce is perfectly distributed, and a pepperoni Sicilian slice from Pronto is just magical. I have yet to get a slice of pizza in NY that competes with Pronto, and I've been living here all of my life. The Pronto on New Dorp Lane is also just as wonderful, and I'd assume all the others would be just as good., but that's just being presumptuous. This is specifically for the Richmond Avenue location. The people behind the counter are always so nice and friendly. Very polite people. If you want a real slice of New York pizza and you're sick of these Staten Island yuppies telling you how great these aforementioned yuppy places are(even though they are not), do yourself a favor and visit Pronto.
