Excellent. Thin, crispy, holds up to reheating. Legit oven inside from the looks of it.

Pizza was delicious, but guy who delivered pizza, left it outside and didn't ring the bell. The pizza has cooled down

Pizza was great. I ordered half cheese half pepperoni. Would definitely recommend!. Pizza was not too doughy and the sauce was amazing!

I took a lengthy bicycle ride through Staten Island and I rode up to Nonna's for a bite.

I'm still not over Ungaro Coal Fired Pizza Cafe. This place has completely won me over. The food is…read moreexcellent across the board, and the service matches it. It has a casual vibe, but still feels like a proper restaurant, which makes it perfect for anything from a quick bite to a relaxed sit down meal. It's a small spot, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine in. I've tried their signature coal oven pizza, chicken parmigiana, penne vodka, and the flatbread. Everything was absolutely delicious. You can also order drinks, not just soda or juice, which adds to the overall experience. Street parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it. I was so caught up with enjoying the food that I barely took any photos, and that just says it all. I'll definitely be back and add more pictures next time.

Many cultures around the Mediterranean have different forms of chickpea fritters and/or…read morechickpea-filled sandwiches. There's of course falafel to the east, garantita in Algeria, and panisse in France (or socca in a similar vein). Sicilian panelle is Italy's counterpart, and the version at Ungaro is an excellent example of it. The panelle comes served with a healthy serving of ricotta on a seeded bun. It has a relatively mild, filling flavor that lets you fully enjoy the chickpea fritters themselves. They also have a potato croquette sandwich on the menu - a distant cousin of the Vada pav I plan to try next time. The half vodka pizza we tried was good, with high-quality mozzarella and a decadent sauce. The pie itself had a nice chewiness to it - if I had any suggestions, perhaps next time they could go a bit easier on the quantity of the sauce.

I told him, "brother's." he smiled, nodded, and said "they're good." He was right. It's a nice place, nothing fancy, they do have a nice dining area. The people are friendly. I decided to get a margherita slice, and I saw these little balls. I asked what they were, and he said "potato croquettes." they came in an order of three. I got my food and I took it back to my hotel. It was amazing. The slice, the dough was perfectly thin, not tough at all, it was a very good quality cheese, I could definitely taste the basil, and the sauce underneath was amazing. The croquettes, they were not over breaded or over fried, they were very tender. The potato inside was creamy and delicious, and they came with an amazing marinara for dipping. This wasn't just your normal tomato sauce. This marinara had a deep rich flavor that went perfect with the croquettes. The price was extremely reasonable for what I got. They are cash only, but they do have ATM at the entrance to the store. I'm a fan. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will be back. Thank you.

Ordered two pizzas for delivery: Buffalo chicken and pan pizza. Total (not including tip) was about…read more$65. Both pizzas had cardboard crusts. The pan pizza was soggy in the center, tough throughout most of the slices, and not crispy except, mercifully, at the edges. It was loaded with mozzarella but didn't have nearly enough tomato sauce to cut through the fat. The buffalo chicken pizza had a tough, mealy undercarriage, with dry chicken and not enough sauce. My order was delayed by about 10 minutes, taking over an hour to arrive even though I live nearby. It definitely wasn't worth the $74 I paid post-tip. Can't speak to the ambiance since it was a delivery.

I'll start by saying, that no, this is not going to be the best pizza in NY/NJ, but I will say it…read moreis above average in quality and quantity compared to most pizza in the area, and they DO have gems that make them superior to every other pizzeria. After years of being a customer, I can say without a doubt that their standard NY slice is likely the best in the Great Kills/Eltingville/Oakwood/Annadale area, and I believe it competes with Frank & Danny's, Mimmo's, and The Pizza Parlor. Keep in mind it's traditional though, unlike Nonna's which uses spots of fresh mozzarella on an extra thin crust. I've tried at least 50% of their entire menu and I must say, you rarely ever go wrong in terms of consistency with a good pie. Not many "bad days" recorded. Pizzaioli stands above all the rest by having the absolute greatest Buffalo pie. Fresh or reheated, it's the best Buffalo slice you can get in the entire Northeast from all my excursions. I do not like buffalo chicken, yet Pizzaioli makes a Buffalo pie using traditional Italian chicken cutlets, fresh mozzarella, and the best Buffalo sauce I've ever tasted in my entire life. I would pay any amount for a Buffalo pie from them and I'm blown away each and every time no matter what. This is an unforgettable slice you'll try and want every day. Prices are reasonable, and they do offer good online deals using their online ordering site, or on the Slice app. The workers are extremely kind, courteous, friendly, and always willing to cater to you. I even told them that my entire household has COVID, and to leave the pizza on the front step and leave it to not spread it. Upon getting the pizza inside and opening the box, I see a very kind message that made my family happy and appreciative of doing business here. They're not "Just another NY pizza spot on the corner" like so many pizzerias are, where they don't have anything special to offer, but you're getting a good slice regardless. Pizzaioli is above that, and though I don't think they're trying to be the "best," what they offer is still original in taste enough to differentiate it from the rest. If Joe & Pat's and Denino's is the Superman of pizza, Pizzaioli is the Batman of pizza, because Superman is the strongest we know, but Batman uses unique abilities to sometimes even outshine and defeat the strongest. Get yourself some Batman! I want to mention that their Rolls & Calzones are absolutely incredible too. Friends and family love their Sausage Roll especially, but I love their Chicken Bacon Alfredo Roll myself. They also have a killer Hot Honey Pepperoni pie!
