While the pizza is good, it wouldn't be something I'd specially make the trek out for. I do like their Cheese Pie ($19.50), which had a crispy and thin crust. This was simple, but good. We also ordered the Garbage Pie ($28.50), which had various toppings as in the name. This one didn't quite have any flavor that stood out, but gave more sustenance. We also got an order of the Fried Calamari ($16), which were lightly coated and fried nicely. I did enjoy these as an appetizer, which is great for sharing. Overall, it's a solid place that lives more on nostalgia. The place does get busy though. They also have a small parking lot, but we were also able to find street parking on a Sunday afternoon.

Everything was absolutely delicious. You can also order drinks, not just soda or juice, which adds to the overall experience. Street parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it. There's of course falafel to the east, garantita in Algeria, and panisse in France (or socca in a similar vein). Sicilian panelle is Italy's counterpart, and the version at Ungaro is an excellent example of it. The panelle comes served with a healthy serving of ricotta on a seeded bun. It has a relatively mild, filling flavor that lets you fully enjoy the chickpea fritters themselves. They also have a potato croquette sandwich on the menu - a distant cousin of the Vada pav I plan to try next time. The half vodka pizza we tried was good, with high-quality mozzarella and a decadent sauce. The pie itself had a nice chewiness to it - if I had any suggestions, perhaps next time they could go a bit easier on the quantity of the sauce.

The croquettes, they were not over breaded or over fried, they were very tender. The potato inside was creamy and delicious, and they came with an amazing marinara for dipping. Welcome to the neighborhood Gino's! This Family owned and operated pizzeria is under new ownership. My husband and I went in for the first time yesterday and I know we will be continuing customers. Customer service was excellent, owners were very friendly and accommodating. We decided to give them another try because everyone has an off day, and I believe in giving places another chance.Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. We ordered a half tray of chicken cutlet Parmesan, expecting it to be enough to feed four people. When it arrived, I was surprised by how little chicken it had it. There were only a few pieces of chicken cutlet, along with some pasta, and the portions were far from what I expected. The sauce was dry and lacked flavor, and the entire dish was missing that rich, savory Parmesan taste you would expect. I actually had to doctor it up myself with garlic, pepper, basil, and a few other seasonings just to make it more flavorful. I wish I had taken pictures, but we had company over, and I was honestly a little embarrassed to make a big deal out of it in front of our guests. I know Pizza Parlor gets rave reviews from many people, but based on my experiences, I just don't share that enthusiasm.
