This got to be one of the worst pizza place I have ever eaten. Let's start from the counter person, the most rude guy to be behind a counter. I had the chicken roll to stay, the roll was ok a bit dry nearly no sauce on it, but not only that the guy took it out the oven so fast, mind you it wasn't a busy time at all. The chicken was cold as ice, after that he started yelling to the other counter people. They didn't offer no sauce on the side. And it was $9. So don't waste your time and money here. read more

I visit the NHP area on the reg and this place is always a go-to when I'm in town. Their pizzas are decent but I come for the pasta. The staff are very good to their regulars. While there's a regular pizza shop counter in the front, there is a nice, little restaurant side in the back. There's also GF pasta available that my celiacs friend swears by. read more

We went here November 1st during the blackout post-hurricane. The small house salad and house red wine were really good, the garlic knots were yummy and freshly baked, and my chicken parm with linguini was soooo good! My husband ordered grilled chicken with a ton of broccoli rabe and he really liked his dinner too. We ordered a side of meatballs for our toddler's dinner and it was two good-sized meatballs in sauce. She loved it and kept asking for more, but she couldn't finish both. A very nice dinner! We eat Angolettos take-out a few times a month and whether it's a pizza, pinwheels, or pasta, we always like it. It's definitely worth a visit! read more

Ive only had take out from Angoletto's. I've had a few different experiences and dishes with this place. I ordered the Abbruzzese panini-this has grilled chicken, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, fresh mozerella, and balsamic vinaigrette. The combination was perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Another time we ordered a Grandma pie. While it was tasty and crunchy, the pie arrived extremely cold. The temperature really ruined the pie. This would not stop me from ordering from here again though. read more

If you live on Long Island, you have at least one pizza place in your town that you probably frequent quite a bit. For me, I have a bunch (one less, RIP La Vera) and one that gets the job done quite well is Angoletto's. It's not the largest restaurant in the world (the front mostly resembles the small time pizza look and there's a nice, little dining area in the back), but you can tell that it runs deep in local clientele as the employees know many of the customers from their frequent visits. Friday night I frequented Angoletto's for a lighter dinner. I can totally vouch for the pizza as I've had it and find it of what is expected of New York quality, but for my lighter fare, I went with their house tossed salad. Sometimes I accompany it with a spinach pinwheel (packed full of tasty cheese and spinach), but that night I was just rockin' the lettuce greens. Their salad is quite large and they go with a "kitchen sink" approach in that you feel like everything is in this salad (which is awesome). Plenty of greens, roasted red peppers, carrots, celery, olives (green and kalamata), tomatoes, pepperoncini, and cucumber. There aren't any onions, but that's where things get interesting as the vinaigrette dressing (with chopped onion in the mix) brings the whole thing to another level. They'll give you a piece of bread too (for those wanting croutons) which works great for dipping at the end. Yes, I know I just spent half a review describing a salad at a pizza place, but I promise it's a great food option (especially in the hotter summer months). Overall, just come to Angoletto's for some friendly service and some good I-talian food. read more

We attended this restaurant with a large group - 10 adults & 10 children after reserving the space with Carlo who I presume is the owner or manager. When I made the reservation, I was clear this dinner was a post Little League baseball group. We ordered pizza and pasta for the children - $13.95 for penne & butter & $15.50 for a HALF order of gluten-free penne a la vodka - what a JOKE! We also aren't entirely clear the pasta was actually gluten-free as the bill said 'WW' not 'GF' and my celiac daughter tells me her belly is bothering her!!! And, the pizza was very salty - even my son complained. We ordered the pasta & 8 entrees for the adults at one time. As the first entrees came out of the kitchen (after a very long wait), we added 2 more entrees - which we clearly knew were going to arrive later. 2 of the 8 dishes never showed up. When we sought an update, Carlo got involved and insisted that these 2 entrees were ordered later with the other 2 - this was definitely NOT the case and told Carlo so. At that point, the two late entrees arrived and it was evident that the other 2 entrees never were ordered with the kitchen. Instead of being apologetic about the whole situation, Carlo dug-in and was just rude insisting WE were wrong. We told him to cancel the 2 delayed entrees and Carlo said they were already being prepared. We asked him to pack up the two meals and he said he will need to re-issue us the check, charging us for these two meals. When we pushed back saying this was terrible business practice when it was his staff that clearly messed up, he dug-in deeper and refused to provide the food INSISTING we were wrong, not his sub-par staff. So we refused the order and I promised I would post a YELP review as this is NOT how you treat paying customers who had already spent $250+ at your restaurant. They tout themselves as a 'family restaurant' when the manager/owner, Carlo, is just rude and not very 'family-like'. Oh, and when I asked why the pastas were so ridiculously expensive - I mean $13.95 for pasta with butter is just obnoxious - Carlo's response was, it's on the menu - RUDE. So now his poor staff missed out on the sizable tip as that was our only recourse. Carlo clearly needs to find a new profession where he isn't interacting with customers! This pizza place unlike many other pizza places has fair prices for their speciality slices. It is hard to find a place that sells buffalo chicken slices for under five dollars, but this place has great portion sizes for the price you pay for their food. The drinks are a must too for they offer a lot of great cocktails if you plan on sitting in and dining. The garlic nuts were great too and I loved the garlic breadsticks as well. The inside of the cafe is very decorative and it is a nice location to sit down with friends and chat or dine in with a large family. Lunch or dinner this place gets packed so I tend to call in before I arrive just to make sure I can get what I want. It is a great pizza place to try and I hope all can get a chance at trying their unbelievable chicken slices along with their other vegetarian options. Will be back soon hungry for more! read more

I ordered chicken sorrentino..and a sausage roll and a slice.... first off it took an 1:15 mins to show up...the pizza is thick generic nyc .99cent corner ...and the chicken sorrentino tasted like it was a frozen dinner...toooo much salt!!!. And the salad was horrid with some jarred veggies and soft tomatoes and limp lettuce... the only reason for 2 stars. Was the sausage roll.. it was standard pizza joint..not bad, not great just edible..plus the sauce was cold... So heres a hint for the owners... deliver quicker...pay attention to detail.. STOP BEING MEDIOCRE..... to many years with no edge..... this neighborhood has to many great Italian joints to waste time at this place...so if you in the mood call the REAL UMBERTOS...not this poser.. the owners need to put a fire under there butt.. read more

This place food is horrible. I just ordered $37.00 of take out plus tip the guy to come face to face with un appealing food that was under cooked and over cooked. Everything was gross, from the pasta to the no taste chicken cutlets to the salad and even the burned garlic knots. It was so bad that even my house guest could not stomach it. We ate some of it because we were very hungry. When I called the manager he was very rude and unprofessional. In all my years of living in new hyde park this is the worst Italian food I've eaten. Went there on a Saturday night. First time going to this restaurant but have passed by it so many times. Didn't know how big the portions were so I ordered a little to much. I placed the order of 1 Chicken and Rice soup and the Entree of Sausage and Broccoli Rabe that came with a side of Spaghetti. When I went there to pick it up the guy gave it to me resting in a box could not believe how much was there. When I got home and dug in I will say food was great but could not finish it because of ordering too much. I'm a vegan, and went to Angoletto's (after seeing good reviews) to ask for a regular large pie with Vegan Cheese, which I brought with me. The Vegan cheese pack, bought from the supermarket was unopened. I explained politely that I could not eat regular cheese and if they could use the vegan cheese in its place. The two men staffing the cafe at the time, looked at the package (without picking it up) and flatly said no they couldn't make the pie with the vegan cheese, but they could use the regular cheese they had. From there, I went to Umberto's on Jericho Turnpike (my normal go to place, but wanted to try something new) and as usual, they had no problems at all, making a pie with the vegan cheese I brought. If you have dietary restrictions due to allergies or whatnot, forget considering Angoletto's. read more

My family ordered a Grandma pizza, baked ziti, eggplant parm, and several salads. Everything was delicious! The salad was "spicy" if that makes sense - the dressing is so flavorful! Even the bread that accompanied our food was fresh, crusty on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. I didn't eat the eggplant parm but my husband said it was excellent. The baked ziti was incredible! We actually discussed why it was so good, and we couldn't put our fingers on it - the ziti were perfectly cooked, the sauce was SO YUMMY!!!, and the combination of cheese was great (and there was a lot of cheese). Ordered delivery of multiple types of salads for lunch at work. Wish we had time to take pictures before we threw them in the garbage. Buffalo chicken salad tasted nothing like buffalo chicken there was no sauce at all on it, instead the chicken looked and tasted like not cooked and there was so much water in the salad which made the chicken looked like it was washed right before it was put on the salad.
